Bit skeptical as to quality based on price and what I saw from other products. Must say that I used this on my trailer tires, one tire at 13 psi and other at 17 psi. Pumped both up to 30 psi in a matter of minutes, figuring out the device wasn’t hard, reading the instructions after…lol well that would have made it easier. Jumping my truck seems to be no issue. Nice case and overall pleased with the bang for my buck. Only con I noticed is that after filing up tires the connector gets extremely hot to the point of a nice 2nd degree burn right where it meets the device. There is a rubber sleeve to help insulate it however it slid up the short hose and well I found out the hard way. So make sure you slide that sleeve back in place before unscrewing. I also wish the valve stem connector was metal lever instead of plastic as I’m not sure how the longevity will hold up. Overall still pleased.

I bought this because of the built-in air compressor. Seemed like it’d be a potentially very valuable feature to have available especially while we’re out camping in-case I need to throw on and top off a spare tire. Depending how convenient it is, I thought maybe it could even replace my full-blown Dewalt air compressor for topping off tires in general throughout the year. So with that said, I just tested it out to top off my RV tires and my truck tires. Here is my experience: Air Compressor Ease of Use: – Others have said its not very intuitive and definitely requires reading the manual. I actually thought it was pretty straight forward. Though, you do still need to read the quick start guide to learn their control scheme. But literally only took me about 30-60 seconds to skim it and then I was good to go. You can select various modes (like car, bike, or custom), the desired units of measurements (including PSI), and the target air pressure Effectiveness: – It worked surprisingly well for a relatively small box that is mostly a battery. It takes a few minutes to pump in 2-4 PSI and it is rather loud, but it ultimately gets the job done and shuts off automatically when it hits the target pressure Accuracy: – This is why I took off 1 star. I think the accuracy is questionable… I put a target of 51 PSI and then checked the pressure afterwards with a digital hand held gauge that I’ve been using for a couple years and my gauge read 56 PSI. I have found that my hand held gauge tends to read pretty close to my truck’s built-in tire pressure monitoring system which makes me believe that most likely it is more accurate than this battery jumper. Of course, it is still possible that my gauge + truck are the ones that are less accurate so take this with a grain of salt. My main takeaway is that it is probably worthwhile to pair this air compressor with a 2nd gauge that you trust so that you can be confident in the result. Efficiency: – I topped off 4 tires, with each tire taking about 2-4 PSI and the battery on the compressor went from full to 56%. Not bad, but probably wouldn’t cut it if you’re having to fill a completely flat tire. Also, it gets hot pretty fast and so you’re not supposed to run it for super long. Note: I haven’t tried jumping a battery with it.

Not accurate, slow inflating
The good: great case, great assortment of accessories, good design. The bad and why I returned: after using it on a road trip to add +/- 10lbs to my tires, I discovered it took it an eternity to fill. I was expecting a bit slow, but this was Houston traffic slow! Also, it used a lot of the battery doing so. When checking the pressure with a separate gauge, it revealed that the pump’s internal gauge was wildly off. I was shooting for 37psi and this bad boy had it up to 43psi. That’s just too much of a variation. I next compared this to a friend’s which was eerily similar. His read the correct pressure, verified twice, and aired up the tire MUCH faster!!! As far as the jump start aspect, I never tested it. I didn’t even get that far. Hopefully my experience is an isolated one.

This is useless. I bought this model to jump start our 2500 Ram diesel. We were stranded last weekend and this was useless. The engine didn’t even turn over. I charged it to 100% before our trip, checked that it was at 100%, but the light turned red when I connected it to our battery. We had to get roadside assistance to come help us. They used a portable jump starter and it started right up. Unfortunately the return window has closed for these (and I bought two of them). Complete junk.

I bought this product as my previous battery charger would no longer take a charge and the portable air compressor I owned plugged into the cigarette adaptor in my car and my new car has to be running to use it. I tried the air compressor right away and while slower than my previous one it did get the job done. Then about a week later my car wouldn’t start, so I was able to try the product out for that purpose as well. It worked great. I was able to jump my car 4 times that day before going to Advanced Auto Parts to get a new battery. My only complaint would be that the battery run downs quickly with each use so you will need to keep charging it. But for the price I am more than willing to do that. Another con, as others have stated, would be the direction for the functions, in particularly the air compressor are a little confusing.

It is still quick and easy for car tires up to five pounds “top-off”; more than that and it is worth using the large compressor. I went on a 2 month vacation, and when I got back, the batteries on my SUV were dead. Didn’t want to use a AAA call, and I was in a parking lot where I couldn’t easily get jumped. I had been wanting to buy one of these to keep in the car anyway, so this was a nice excuse. It came with a really nice case, which keeps all the cables and adapters inside. This is a small con, but the first charge took a little bit longer than I was expecting. I’m not sure how long exactly because I left it charging after an hour and didn’t pay attention. But once it was fully charged, I took it down to the SUV to test it out. Didn’t even need the instruction manual because every cord etc was pretty obvious. Car turned on almost immediately. Recharged the box and put it in the trunk of my car. Haven’t used the air pump yet, but it’s good to know that it’s there if I ever need it.
