I had been eyeing this machine for years after seeing it on social media. I couldn’t pull the trigger because it is expensive and the reviews were a bit mixed. When I saw it for sale with a steep discount during Prime day, I finally committed and I am so glad I did. I am a busy mom of 4 who just doesn’t have time to mop everyday (or week unfortunately). We have tile in the kitchen and hardwood floors where we eat. The kitchen tiles were NEVER clean. I sometimes steamed them twice in a row and then used a regular mop and the floors still didn’t pass the “paper towel” test. Enter Tineco. As soon as I charged it for the first time I did my tiled floors. I did 2 rounds just because I wanted to give the machine a fair shot on floors that never seemed to get clean. Oh my gosh, for the first time EVER there was no residue on a paper towel when I wiped the floor. None whatsoever. I’ve seen complaints about the battery but I have a 3600 sq ft house. I bought the combo (more in that later) which I think has a shorter battery life than the regular Tineco — I can still do my whole first floor before the battery even gets to 30%. I did my entire kitchen, eat in area, living room, dining room, and the first floor bathroom tonight and it was at 40%. I did have to clean the dirty water tank once and add fresh water but I don’t mind. I bought the combo — I wish I would have bought just the regular one. I have yet to use the hand vac and I honestly don’t think I ever will. I can just use our regular vacuum if I need to get into tight crevices. That is my only regret with this machine. Cleaning is a breeze. I had an issue the first time running the self clean — it kept telling me to clean the dirty water tank even though it was clean. I ended up just manually starting the self clean function and it worked like a charm. This machine saves me so much time and now my floors are clean. It takes not even 5 minutes to clean the machine when I’m done (wash the dirty water tank, the roller, wipe down the machine, etc) and that’s because I really want to take care of the machine. You probably don’t need to be as diligent as I am. I did notice it leaves slight streaking on my darker hardwood floors (nothing on my light hardwood). It is minimal and doesnt bother me whatsoever. All in all, I love this machine and so far I don’t regret this purchase whatsoever. I hope this review helps someone who may be contemplating!
I bought the machine three months ago. It is not working correctly. You have to put it on the charger to start the machine. I called the company they had me ship the machine back for repair receive the machine back with the same issue now they want to send me a refurbished machine! After spending almost $500 on a new machine, I have to except a refurbished machine. And they threaten you if you put a negative review.

Bad battery after one year
I bought the Tineco in December 2022, and now just 13 months later, the battery drained from 100% to 0% in about six minutes. Now it won’t charge past 19%. Very disappointing for such an expensive item.

The media could not be loaded. First I loved mine. Battery went out and contacted customer support. After 4 months finally sent a shipping label to send in for repairs (numerous unresponsive emails and 3 support tickets later). I had to provide $40 worth of shipping supplies and was returned a floor 3 model when I purchased a floor one 5 Pro 2 in like new condition. The replacement was covered in scratches, cat hair (allergic), smelling like mold or mildew. I reached out and shared the issue and they said rest assured it’s yours and we will give you $15 for all the scratches and inconvenience of cleaning. I requested they review the serial numbers and how they were different. Also shared pictures of the two different model numbers, so my $600 like new machine was replaced with a disgusting $100 machine (used, mold or mildew damaged device )!!!. My family has collectively called them over ten times and have only received one person by email and phone that could understand English. It’s soo frustrating and terrible. I’m going to consumer affairs and getting an attorney for this. Buy from Costco and never deal with their customer support. So sad caz I loved it and referred the products to so many people! Tineco, if anyone can read English, please just return my unit and I’ll take it to a local repair shop or send me a replacement. I’d rather just work with you!!! But this is 1000% unacceptable.

I’ve had this vacuum for 3 months today. I use it a few times a week, plus whenever my 3 year old spills something. I’ve used it on soda spills, cereal spills, cat food spills, dog vomit, toddler pee, pet hair from 1 dog and 4 cats, mud tracks, sand from the beach, and it picks it all up with no fighting back.

I felt compelled to write a review after owning this for nearly a year and seeing so many upset reviews. This is hands down the best floor mopping device I have ever owned and I am a compulsive shopper that is always buying new gadgets. I have real, white marble floors, 2 dogs and I don’t wear shoes in my home. However my dogs are always tracking in dirt and muddy footprints, I cook often and always drip on the floor, and this cleans all of it, easily. I will say that I get the water super hot before filling up the tank so that it can remove anything smudged a lot quicker and it dries without streaks. Sometimes I have to go over an area 2-3 times but that’s if something spilled or my dogs tracked something sticky in the house. But the fact that this vacuums and washes in one shot is perfect for me. I will disclose, I vacuum with a Dyson first, and I also have an iRobot that makes its rounds once per day. If you’re expecting this to vacuum a weeks worth of dirt and mop with perfect results, you’re lying to yourself and will surely be over expecting what this can deliver. Now the cons, if you use this slowly, the battery will not last. If you move it around the speed of a relaxed vacuuming, you’ll be fine. I have about 1800sqft downstairs and I can just about finish the floor on a single charge depending on if there’s any extra dirty spots I have to spend more time on. I also use this on my real hardwood floors upstairs and it’s perfect. No extra water puddles or patches taking forever to dry. Again, I use very hot water. Sometimes it also leaks if I’ve left it off the stand for an extended period of time. This machine also does need to have the dirty water tank emptied while using, I think it depends on if the area is extra dirty, then the machine speed picks up and is using water faster. Is it annoying? Sure. Does the clean water tank need to be refilled while using? Yep. Again, depending how dirty and how much effort the machine is making. Is that annoying? Also yes. Does it say start self cleaning cycle while using? Sure does. Do I do it? No. I finish cleaning then run it after. Is all this frustrating? Sometimes. But not nearly as annoying, frustrating or as much effort as using a Swifter or mop and bucket, or cleaning on my hands and knees. Bottom line, if you’re diligent about keeping your house fairly clean, and you have realistic expectations as in, no, this will not clean as good as your housekeeper or Cinderella on her knees with a bucket and rag. Then you should probably end up enjoying the fruits of your labor with this snazzy little machine.

We love this machine. Floors have never been cleaner. Kid pees on floor and this makes the job so much easier. We can mop the floors so much faster and we can mop just a little section without getting a mop and bucket out.

Leaves super clean floors
This is an amazing purchase. I have all hardwood floors in my house and this makes cleaning them a breeze. I think we keep a relatively clean house, but every time I use this it’s like emptying sludge out of the dirty water compartment. I always run it as the highest suction for maximum clean and therefore need to empty and refill the water 4-5 times while cleaning both floors of my house. I can clean it all on one charge. The self clean function is helpful and then I always take it apart and rinse the pieces each time and let them fully dry before reassembling. This Tineco makes it easy and even enjoyable to keep clean floors, which is important with two young sons and a dog in the house. We all spend a lot of time on the floor so I want it to be as clean as possible!

Only had for approximately 2 months. Kept shutting off saying dirty water tank full when I only made 2 passes. Then, the clean water tank quit working and all it did was dry vacuum. Way overpriced, not designed very well, may be good for a very small apartment. Would not recommend.

Not worth the headache
I hate this vacuum and it makes me upset because i was so excited to get it. First and foremost it’s not pet friendly. Dog hair clogs the vacuum very easily. Secondly it always says it’s dirty water tank is full even if it’s not. You have to clean the whole thing in the sink after each clean or an error will pop up saying to empty the tank. My husband refuses to use it because it pisses him off so much. I’ve sent it off to get fixed and it didn’t fix the problem at all. Was much happier with my Bissel crosswave. Worst $600 ever spent

I bought 2 of these and after a few days the machine keeps says water tank full. I have cleaned the machines and they for a few minutes and it keeps saying water tank full even when the tanks are empty. I can’t believe I spent this much money for them to malfunction over and over. I hope the company does the right thing and fix the issue so others do not waste there money

Uneven cleaning and battery life sucks
If you read other reviews, you find that it leaves streaks, you can’t use it with ANY Chicago or cleaner on the floor. It does a terrible job at anything other than VERY light dust or dirt buildup. If you have pets, STAY AWAY as the hair gets caut and is nasty in the filter. It makes cleaning it a challenge. Also the battery lasts like 1-2minutes tops. Save your money.

The voice can drive you crazy but it does do a good job of cleaning my tile floors. Wish I didn’t have to stop so often to empty the dirty water canister. Having trouble with the charging plate for some reason. The vacuum doesn’t seem to connect easily anymore.

This machine cleans your floor beautiful. It is a pain in the but waiting for it to charge but compared to the one you plugin that leaves streaks all over your floor well worth paying extra money and waiting for the charge.

I am so impressed by how quickly and thoroughly this cleans my laminate floors! In under 10 min, I was able to clean an area that would have taken me 30 min or my Braava jet 45 min to clean. The vacuum is powerful and the solution cleans without streaks. I’m so happy with this purchase!!!

Where was this machine when our children were little? At least it makes quick cleanup now that we have grandkids. No need to sweep first; this will gobble up any food on the floor and cleans thoroughly in one pass without streaks. The price seemed high when we bought it–but not after we used it! Would recommend this to anyone who needs to clean hard surface flooring.

Short battery life but great machine
I love this machine – super easy to use right out of the box. I love that it self cleans and doesn’t have a cord. Without the cord though the battery life is not long. It will depend on how big of a space you need to clean. I am able to clean my whole house, except bedrooms – which is 1500 sq ft, without the battery dying but it’s very close. I’ve had spilled water or dog food and was able to clean it up super fast with this machine. Love the separate dirty water tank also.

It was good while it worked
After a year it stopped working properly and started falling apart. The plastic plate that sits on the charger fell and it’s not possible to put back on. It doesn’t dry well and started spitting water. Keeps asking to self clean.

One year in and I want a new vacuum
There are constant issues with the battery so that I cannot finish cleaning. Sometimes I cannot even start cleaning. This barely picks anything up from rugs and carpets. I have to pre spray spots with water to loosen them before cleaning. When it works it’s lovely, when it doesn’t my house is dirty and I’m angry. I’ve been so frustrated with this thing I just borrow my parents vacuum about once a month.

It’s ok. Life changing since I life in Florida, and the dogs have muddy paws 🐾 at times. Will suck all that wet mud up in 5 seconds. The cons are if that mud dries, u might as well get a regular mop to scrub. The water tanks are also super small, so I’m constantly emptying and refilling. It’s annoying. Overall I like it, but for the price it should be able to deliver more.

Is it worth the hype?
So I ordered this because of course I saw it on TikTok and thought it was gonna be the bees knees but I’m not sure if something is wrong with mine or what but I don’t know it if was worth the money. I have to empty the dirty water tank 2-3 times while cleaning all my hardwood downstairs. I also feel like it does not let out as much water as the videos on TikTok showed. Even while I’ve cleaned the machine.

This will change the way you look at mopping your floors. I do recommend sweeping 1st but if you want to clean the water every 7 minutes that’s your choice. I’m not here to judge you I’m here to judge the Tineco. I say it’s worth all the pennies. When one of my 5 grandkids make a mess NO SWEAT Grandma has a Tineco. I was underwhelmed to say the least. If you are looking for a glorified dust mop for hardwood floors, this is your machine. If you are looking for something to actually clean tile in bathrooms, don’t waste your time. It doesn’t work. Also, I didn’t even finish my bathroom floor before having to refill the water tank. I would assume if I were to do all my hardwoods, I would have to refill about 10-12 times. I’m still in the fence about returning.

This machine mal functioned a few months after I bought it., I paid $653 for it. The warranty is no good. They can’t seem to fix the problem. The machine says ” dirty water tank full” when it isn’t full. After reading other reviews, I found out this is a common problem. I asked for my money back and they will only give a small amount back. They don’tseem to have a solution for this problem. and while it gives that message, the machine stops and won’t work. DON’T BUY THIS MACHINE!!!!!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!

If u hate mopping as much as I do…
I don’t like this vaccum/mop I LOVE IT! I originally ordered the S3 but the clean water tank was way too small so I upgraded to the S5. I have a dog that sheds like mad but truthfully if there is a lot of hair I will first vaccum with my other vaccum and then go over the floor to vaccum what I missed and it mops at the same time. I have had zero issues with battery life but I will say when I clean my downstairs which is about 2000 sq ft I have to clean the dirty water tank once before completing and the clean water tank I have to refill. But it absolutely beats any mop I have bought and used and the self cleaning feature is great. The dirt that’s in the dwt is disgusting so I know it’s cleaning my floors. If u have a spot that doesn’t come right up I just place the roller over the spot until it’s gone. Only once in a blue do I have to manually get a spot. Is it perfect. No, but what is but it’s close to being and really I no longer dread having to mop. I have had THE Brissell spin mop which I had to replace 3xs and then I had 2 manual spin mops which I absolutely hate. Run don’t walk if u hate mopping as much as I do. It’s worth every dime and if your lucky you will get a slight discount.

Good but I’m not blown away
There are things about this I really like but also things that don’t quite add up. It does NOT get everything g off the floors. I’ve had to go waive things up by hand. And the part of it that’s supposed to sense how dirty the floor is and adjust or let you know- it never happens. It does clean the floors overall and quickly without mess. I’m not sure if I’d recommend it to anyone because of the price and the issues I mentioned above. I’d recommend to buy a model of this brand or even a different brand that is not as expensive. Maybe there is something wrong with particular item but I kind of doubt it.

I thought it was all hype
But it’s not! This thing actually works like it is advertised to work. I pulled it out of the box and put it on the charger while I read the directions. My floor was a tough trial. In one week it had acquired bread baking spills, rainy weather shoe prints, and a dog coming into season. I did do a pre-vacuum because I have a jumbo dog that sheds massively and that would not have been a fair test. I did not do a pristine job though, to see how this new gadget handled it. It did an excellent job! The flower/water, baking bits, that stick like glue, required a couple passes to get them wet and then I moved on to other areas, coming back after a little soaking had occurred. It took them all up. It took all of the mess up. I highly recommend this product!

This vacuum wants to be great….but is lacking.
I have dogs and this machine clogs EASILY. The hole to the dirty water tank by the spinning brush is tiny and gets clogged almost immediately. I pre-sweep my house even, and the machine still isn’t happy. The vacuum also makes you empty the dirty water tank when it’s not even halfway to the max line, which ends up being only like 3″ of water in the tank. If I can by a miracle get this machine to work for more than 3 minutes at a time it does clean well, but it is a pain getting to that point. I am requesting a refund and to return this item, and will be trying the Crosswave or returning to old fashioned mopping.
