Bought this back in summer 2021 and it worked great. And then about 2 1/2 years later, it wouldn’t charge any longer. Tried troubleshooting by cleaning the contacts on the base and mop with isopropyl alcohol, nope, tried abrasive brush, nope, replaced the plug, nope. It’s dead. Maybe replace the battery is left? Probably rated it a 4 after purchase and a 1 since this didn’t last very long and apparently inability to charge is not uncommon. More uncommon is it is unrecoverable. My second bad Tineco product (top ranked vacuum based on CR did not vacuum well at all) and I’m done with them. They look good, though.

Great way to both sweep & mop all at once!
Love that I can sweep & mop at the same time! This makes my cleaning much easier! It doesn’t get very close to the wall & leaves a small puddle of dirty water when you use it. I I carry around an old washcloth when I use it to soak up the dirty water left behind. Although I wish it didn’t leave dirty puddles, but it still makes sweeping and mopping a lot easier!

DO NOT BUY, I’ve sent my machine in for motor issues and am yet again having motor issues. My machine isn’t even 3 years old purchased may 2022 and it’s out of warranty so they will not fix it or replace it, they want me to buy a new one. Works really good, only downfall is you have to wash and clean the roller and dirty tank after each use or when you run it the next day, it’s smells like cat pee….. I don’t even have cats. Easy to clean, I throw the rollers in the washing machine and let them air dry

Tineco Will Steal it if it’s “unrepairable”
So I purchased one of these based on a friend/neighbor’s recommendation. We really liked it so I purchased 2 more (1 for home and 2 for the businesses we own). Two of them have quit working within a year or 2 of purchase. One I did get repaired under warranty. The other one of them quit working and had an error code to contact costumer support. I drug my feet before contacting them, since we had the 2 others, and the 1 year or 2 year warranty had run out but they offered a “out of warranty” repair charge of $112.07. I paid it and sent it to them. They then contacted me a said the unit was unrepairable and they would “scrap” it. I emailed them back and said, do not scrap it, I can still use the charger base, power cord, the tanks, roller brush, etc. since I have these other 2 units. They said too bad it’s been scrapped. So they took a unit that I own and paid for and threw it away (if they really did). I will never buy another Tineco anything including their cleaning solution or anything else.

Very Basic cheap mop
Spot boost does not do anything. Water continuously comes out while running, instead of when you squeeze the trigger. Self clean function does not work. Roller does not have bristles and is not as absorbent as previous version. It does propel forward which makes it easier to push around but I’d give anything for my old version of this machine.

Will break right after warranty expires!
No support after warranty expires. I’ve had the tineco for 2.5 years. I used it sparingly, mostly for quick clean ups in between mopping with a spin mop. I had my tineco unplugged for a few months during a move and when I plugged it back in it wouldn’t charge. After reading some forums I discovered many people have also had this issue after letting the vacuum run out of battery. Others suggested lifting and placing the vacuum on the charger over and over until it reaches a certain charge then trying the vacuum. Once I turned the vacuum on it lost power very rapidly and would not self clean. I called customer support and was told the motor was failing and my only options were spending over $100 to send it in for repair or a discount on another model. For a vacuum that is over $300 it should last longer than 2 years, especially not with heavy use. It also worked perfectly fine before being stored for a while. So extremely disappointed. Would NOT recommend this brand to anyone based on this experience.

Product worked great, we used it in out 1000 sqft apartment for almost 2 years. 2 months till warranty expired, got a battery replaced. However warranty services missed a crucial component, (pick up tube). Our unit has been in warranty service since september 2024, im writing this review march 2025. 6 months have passed since we sent it in for warranty claim and now customer support says they have disposed of our machine and want us to buy a new one. 5.5 months of emails back and forth and they haven’t offered us a replacment or a viable solution. Stay away, will update if or when tineco customer dis-service replies.

I bought this with high hopes of getting my rubber gym floor mopped easily. I had been using a wring mop with a bucket, which was very effective but kind of a hassle. Pros: It comes with plenty of cleaning solution. The self cleaning brush roll is a very convenient feature! Cons: The water tank is small, so I have to refill it halfway through. It doesn’t get to the edges! It leaves an inch of space because of the space taken up by the brush roll cover. This is a problem for my black rubber floors – there’s a visible dust line around the room! I’d like to return it but the window has closed (30 days)

Died right after 3 years. Terrible awful customer service. Would not assist in troubleshooting. very short and unhelpful. Had no real solutions , other than a 15 % refund and we spend time and money to send the broken system back to them. No offer on replacement , or exchange … we were willing to work with them to get a solution even if we had to spend money. But it was a totally one sided arraignment Dyson has never done this to us . Nespresso has never done this is. Never buying this product again. Already bought a Bissell replacement

Poor quality
Poor quality. It worked fine in the beginning but with just around 3 years it started malfunctioning. It refused to charge even though the battery is not died yet. My 6-years-old Dyson vacuum’s battery is till working. And this 3 year-old mop is unusable now. Now I have to do the reddit hack — put it on the charger, wait for it to stop charging, disconnect and repeat, to trick it to charge to a certain level so that I can run a self-cleaning cycle before recycling in the hazard facility. I’ve seen bad products, but very rarely a product tortures its users in this way.

Very easy floor cleaner
This floor cleaner is a game changer! It is so easy to use. And it takes care of vacuuming and mopping all in one. It is amazing the dirt that it picks up that I don’t even see. Even if I just use plan water in the tank. Being cordless, it’s super easy to buzz around the house. And I love how easy it is to clean when I’m finished. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it doesn’t quite get my entire house before running needing a charge. I wish now I’d paid more and gotten the next model up. Great machine to save time and work and keep your floors looking great!

Poor Customer Service
I purchased this product 2 years and three months ago. It was life changing cleaning up from a house with toddlers and two huskies. It picked up food, spills, dirt and dust very well, although struggled with some of the stuck on food. I didn’t find the sensor terribly accurate for where there was a lot of dirt. It typically only sensed dirt when it picked up an excessive amount of dog hair or I used a different cleaning product on the flood for something. You need to clean it immediately after every use or it will stink. I actually found putting the roller brushes through the dishwasher to be effective at limiting the smell if it was not cleaned properly. However, the HUGE downfall of this product is how often this thing breaks and the poor customer service. Our machine completely broke after owning it for one year (small issues we could fix at home were prior to this) and the company replaced the motor. This took a while, but was done free of charge as we were in warranty. Almost exactly a year later, we are getting a message that it needs to be serviced – when looking this up, it appears the motor has broken AGAIN. Customer service wanted to charge over $100 to have it be repaired or could give a “special” coupon that I discovered is the same as the active discounts advertised right now, and. discounts cannot be combined. I am three months past the warranty, but only a year out from the last breakdown. A quick google search will show you that their machines only last two years before needing to replaced! Funny how that warranty runs out just about then…. If you want to avoid spending high amounts of money every 2 years for a new machine, look at a product other than Tineco.

I enjoy mopping now
Love this mop ! Cleans the muddy paw prints right up and I love the self cleaning feature when you’re done mopping up . For ships and giggles I tested it out to spot clean a area rug and it worked pretty good

Poor suction
The second time I used my floor washer, it would not suck up the liquid. It leaves large amounts of water on the floor, and as soon as I turn it off, even more liquid gushes out of the bottom. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting recommendations without success.

Terrible
The media could not be loaded. I feel like i wasted $200. It doesn’t evenly wet the floor so it’s mopping stripes. It also isn’t picking up any water as you can see the dirty tank is dry crumbs after mopping 2000 sqft. It’s also leaking from where the light is??

Easy to Use Wet Vac
The media could not be loaded. This is a great wet vac, especially if you have kids or pets. It’s easy to use, cleans well using water and the Tineco cleaning solution, and doesn’t take up too much space. I especially love that it vacuums while it mops, saving that extra step. It has a self-cleaning cycle, which is definitely helpful. I do feel like there’s quite a few parts that I have to periodically clean myself, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Overall, it’s still worth it and is the best solution I have found for keeping my floors clean.

Just Won’t Last
I give this product two stars. The first star is that when it DOES work it does a good job. The second star is for the customer service. That’s about as good as this review gets though. I’ve had this vacuum for less than two years and spent $400 on it, it has now broken three times. I have already sent it in to get the motor replaced twice, and just now received it back -when trying to use it for the first time since, it is broken. I was told by customer service that the motor probably keeps breaking because it’s not fully dry in between uses (well I use it about once or twice a week. And furthermore- it’s a WET VAC!) This will be the third and final time this vacuum has broken on me. Outside of those very large issues, cleaning it is such a hassle. Even when you keep up regular cleaning on it at every use- It still gets very stinky and bogged down, making you feel like you’re just leaving mildew residue all over your house the next time you use it. All in all it’s a good theory, and I really wanted it to work, however, it’s just too complicated for its own good. They need to simplify and fix the bugs. I’m ready for my refund.

Tineco 5 – Pro AND Tineco 3
I was given a Tineco 5 Pro, I loved it so I bought TWO #3’s as gifts… i have had it just over a year now and it KEEPS telling me the dirty water container is not there !!! One of the ones I bought was for my neighbor and the 3 sprays water from the tank when I empty it and put it back on… the 5 Pro just says it is not there!!! 🤬

Horrible customer service and 399$ machine stopped working in less than two years
I have had the worse experience with their customer service. It was 399$ when I purchased it and the machine didn’t last for even two years. It stopped working in December 2024. Save yourself money and buy from another US based company which provides better warranty support.

Only lasts 1.5 year
This was a great machine that cleans really well, until it started giving me issues 18 months after purchased. The warranty is two years so the repair was covered. At the 27 month mark it broke again. Now it’s not covered so they offered a 10% discount. A $400 machine + cleaning solution is ridiculous. After doing research, it’s very common for it to stop working after 18 months. I would go with something different if you want it to last more than 2 years.

What was originally a 5 star review has turned into a 1 star review!!!Purchased this product in Nov 2021. It was a black Friday buy and it stayed in the box until January of 2022. I’ve been using it since and today in February 2025 the motor has blown on it. Apparently this is a very common issue!!! After watching a few YouTube videos and reading comments multiple users have had this issue with the S3. It conveniently stops working right after the warranty expires on it. Customer service offered a refund of 40 dollars with the return of the vacuum. This is an absolute JOKE. Save your money!!!!

The vacuum only lasted 1 year and a half and then the charger broke. It stood around for a while and I didn’t know what to do with it. At 2 years and 2 months I decided to reach out to tineco and they told me that there warranty only covers 2 years and I need to pay $100 to have it repaired. Trash,

I hate this mop. It’s awful. I loved it the first time I used it. It was powerful. It cleaned great. I found it easy to use, lightweight, and I loved the auto clean feature… except it doesn’t work. It smells like tonsil stones melted in sewage. You need to fully dismember every part of this mop immediately after its auto clean and re-clean EVERY. SINGLE. PART. The brush it came with is trash too so don’t even bother. The amount of time I save cleaning my floors with this is used anyway with the amount of time I need to spend cleaning it out. I would NEVER recommend this thing to anyone. What an expensive and piece of trash.

A Cleaning Breeze
Moved into a house with vinyl plank flooring. We have two rambunctious dogs so we needed some help keeping the floors clean. This cleaner is incredible. There is a container for the cleaning fluid and a dirty water container that pulls up the fluid. One pass over the floor does it! One dog is hairy and sheds so have to check the dirty water container in case there was extra hair after sweeping. Still a breeze. Highly recommended.

Horrible design flaw, do not buy
This thing worked great for about a year. Then it just stopped sucking in water to the dirty water tank. After extensive research I realized that others had already discovered the major design flaw which caused our Tineco to break. The dirty water tank gradually allows dirty water to enter the motor housing unit ultimately causing the suction motor to rust and seize up. 300$ for a lazy design is ridiculous. Please don’t waste your money like we did.

If you have pets or kids & have to constantly be cleaning this is great to keep the house clean. Has very good suction, hairs don’t get stuck, not loud. I usually take 20 min to clean the whole house with it & the battery lasts. Cleans super good GET IT!
