Bought this back in summer 2021 and it worked great. And then about 2 1/2 years later, it wouldn’t charge any longer. Tried troubleshooting by cleaning the contacts on the base and mop with isopropyl alcohol, nope, tried abrasive brush, nope, replaced the plug, nope. It’s dead. Maybe replace the battery is left? Probably rated it a 4 after purchase and a 1 since this didn’t last very long and apparently inability to charge is not uncommon. More uncommon is it is unrecoverable. My second bad Tineco product (top ranked vacuum based on CR did not vacuum well at all) and I’m done with them. They look good, though.

Blown motor not covered
After two years it stopped working. Found out it needed a new motor and it’s not covered under warranty. It should last longer than two years for the price paid. It worked great for the time we were able to use it but now I have to pay another $100+ to replace the motor.

It’s great…. Until it’s not!
My Tineco was amazing for a little over a year and a half and then it started having issues. I sent it back while still under warranty for repairs, and it was in working order again. The repairs worked briefly and then it started acting up again, particularly having issues charging. Once it hit about 50% it would drain to 0% almost immediately. The frustrating part is, as soon as it hits 0% it won’t charge on its own. After a google search around the issue, I found that you can manually lift the unit on and off of the base repeatedly (for an absurd amount of times) until it reaches about 3-5% and then it starts charging on its own again. As long as I was able to get it back on the base before it drained down to 0%, it would self charge. It was a guessing game when it would decide to instantly drop to 0%. Now, it won’t even charge in this manner. For the hefty price tag, I expected to get more than 1.5yrs of effortless use out of the unit. I was able to milk about another year out of it, but now it is just sitting in my laundry room, collecting dust, and getting dirty looks every time I pass it.

Been considering buying this for a year. Read reviews and googled it. Was skeptical. Why did I wait so long?! I LOVE it!! I have two large dogs and ‘mucky paw season’ is just around the corner. Bring it on! My male dog is a sloppy water drinker as well and it was always hard to wipe up the water marks. Not anymore. I’ll be throwing all my mops and Swifters now! No more pushing the dirt around on a yucky mop head. My floors haven’t been this clean in years. Easy to use, self-propelled, tells you when to clean and empty the Dirty Water Container, or if water is low, AND itself cleans itself. Yes, you do have to empty frequently as the containers are on the smaller size but do not care. Would recommend for sure.

I love this vacuum. It’s great for quick daily cleansing with a baby. Honestly, the construction is flawed. The plug to the clean water tank has now broken twice on me. I only use the approved cleaning solution and take really good care of it. I was able to replace the tank after the first break…but it just happened again. There is no way you can fix it yourself because the clean water tank is sealed. I’m not happy. So I would say this product is a waste of money unless you want to repurchase every 3 months.

Do not buy. I hesitated to give a review, but today was the last straw. First, it stinks, even when you clean it. I have a small house and only use on my kitchen, living room and two small bathrooms. This has happened before, but today it was the worst. It leaves puddles of water after ever push of the mop. Today it blew up. I have only had it 10 months and use it once a week. Soooo very disappointed especially for the money it cost. The concept is good, but buy a different brand.

I bought this machine in June of 2021. Have only used it about 5 times. It won’t charge the battery and keeps saying “charging has commenced”, but won’t charge. I have googled this problem and have seen many comments on this same problem. The machine only comes with a 2 year warranty and I am beyond that point. Pretty worthless $300 pice of junk. Would not recommend buying this product. I give this 0 stars, but that isn’t an option.

It was a great thing to have around the house especially with hardwood floors. After 2 years it is useless. Every time you turn it on it stops working and instructs you to call customer service. After calling customer service the only option they give you is to send it in for service that will cost me additional $100.

I love love love my Tineco Floor ONE S3 Cordless vacuum mop BUT I can’t use it anymore. I have only had it for 2 1/2 years and it won’t charge past 15% now. I reached out to Tineco for help and ask what the options were. Since it only has a 2 year warranty, their only option was to give me a 10% or 20% discount on another product depending on what I pick. I asked if there were parts I could pay for like a battery or another charging station and those were not options as there are no spare parts available. The thing is I paid over $500 for it 2 1/2 years ago and if I’m gonna pay that kind of money for a product, I want it to work more than 2 1/2 years so just be aware when you are buying this out any other Tineco. Like I said at the very beginning I love love love my vacuum mop, but for the money that I put into it and not have an option for spare parts, I’m very disappointed in the product, the manufacturing and honestly the customer service. Although I will say customer service was very quick to respond, but there was no other option besides the 10% to 20% discount on a new one. It worked great and still would work amazingly if it would charge. And yes, I have tried different outlets, different positions and everything possible bc again I love this vacuum mop. I am so upset that this product did not last (and it’s just not charging, everything else is perfectly fine) more than 2 1/2 years. Tineco, do better! It pains me to throw it away!

I bought this product in December of 2021 I use it for only half the year because I am a snow bird And I only use it half of my rooms because the other rooms have carpet. It lasted about 2 years at most because we had fixed after a year and a half Never again not worth it!!

Good product in theory, but overall dissappointed
I bought two of these, one for myself and one as a gift for a friend because of the good reviews. I was tired of going through my whole house with a vacuum and again with a mop after. I was looking forward to being able to do both and then separate the two on occasion where I needed to do a deeper clean. I’ve had mine for over 3 months now and I feel like I can give a better review now at this point. When I first received the product, it arrived without the extra brush that it claims it comes with, so I only have one. But I hate complaining or asking “silly” things like that, so I let it go and just didn’t want to bother the company over a missing extra brush. Over the last few months of using this vacmop at least twice a week, I have noticed a couple notable things. The suction of the vacuum already seems to be going downhill just a few months in. Where it used to suck every little thing up before, now it just runs over it. I’ve also noticed from the beginning that it spits out water very randomly. I never use the “extra water” button, and even with that, sometimes I have PUDDLES of water on portions of my floor, and then nothing coming out in other areas. I have all LVP flooring. I just notice that the water is not consistent at all and then the suction isn’t pulling up the water well enough so its just leaving streaks of water and sometimes puddles, which is very frustrating. I really really really wanted to love this vacmop and I ignored a lot of things out the gate that were probably red flags because I was so excited, and now I can no longer return, so that’s a little sad. My friend seems to not have the same issues with hers, so it’s very probable that I just unfortunately received a malfunctioning one.

Waste of money
I’ve had this machine for 2 years and barely 3 months and had nothing but problems with it. First off it doesn’t pick up much before it says run cleaning cycle and had to start sweeping or vacuuming BEFORE using this which defeats the purpose. Second the motor malfunctioned within a year of purchase and had to send back to the company for repair and now 3 months after warranty expired the motor is malfunctioning AGAIN and they don’t have the parts to fix it. On top of that I’ve had to replace the clean water tank 3 times because it will get moldy around the bottom parts if you leave ANY CLEAN water solution in it and there is NO WAY to open it to clean it. If you try to clean it the screw in the clean water tank comes loose and there is no way to fix that! This machine has been nothing but a headache and waste of money!

The media could not be loaded. I purchased my first machine in 2020 for $299, it broke in 10 months. The company sent a replacement which also broke in less than a year. When I tried to get additional support they offered nothing other than a measly discount on a replacement machine because they base the warranty on the first purchase even though the replacement is also faulty. I would never buy one of these again. It’s a total waste of money and now more plastic in the landfill.

I love this thing
I’m slightly OCD, but also rather lazy. The thought of dealing with a mop and bucket or a heavy wet/dry vacuum just seems like too much work for me to deal with regularly. This little device is just wonderful – I’ve used it now on my hardwood, tile, and LVP floors throughout my entire house and I have been absolutely disgusted by the amount of dirt and filth it has removed off the floors, especially since we remove shoes before entering and clean regularly anyway. The great news is that it uses just enough of the cleaning solution to lift the dirt but does not leave my floors soaking wet – so, I can clean my floor 3-4 times a day now and never worry about a slip and fall, perfect for my lazy OCD personality. Also – side note, I noticed some reviews saying it didn’t seem like it was cleaning and video reviews showing people rapidly and violently thrashing the cleaner over their floors and then acting surprised when it didn’t seem to clean very well. That’s not how this works – the cleaning solution is dispensed onto a microfiber roller which spins rapidly as you move it over the floor. You have to move at a moderate pace over the floor – it’s not an instant cleaning machine – and let the microfiber roller do the work. Think of it as an electric mop device that also has vacuum suction. My only complaint is the battery life is kind of short at only maybe 25 minutes. I wish the tanks were slightly larger as well so I wouldn’t have to deal with that as often. But otherwise, it’s great.

This vacuum/mop works extremely well, to the point where I didn’t believe it was actually working when I first started using it. It is such an incredible upgrade to my house. The one thing about it is, it doesn’t get dried or sticky stuff off the floor. So if I make a mess during the day I have to immediately grab it to clean it up. Here’s the big selling point though – my toddler grabbed a carton of eggs off the counter and accidentally dropped them onto the floor. Eggs went everywhere and it was an awful mess. All I had to do was pick up the shells and then the vop did the rest. It was so easy to clean up that mess I could have cried at the time. I am in love with this thing. It’s so light weight, versatile, and quiet. One thing I think could improve is the company should add a scraper on a stick for stuck on messes as an attachment for this. I also think it would be nice if the self clean setting didn’t spill a tiny bit of water into its charging doc because it makes it smell musty in the pantry where I keep it unless I wipe that off each time I use it.

The product has a very short lifespan.
I used the product for less than a year before it stopped charging. It was covered under warranty, and I had it repaired. However, shortly after, it became difficult to charge again, and now it has started leaking. For a product valued at $300, it should not fail within such a short period.

Tineco started smoking out the sides, caught on fire during use. Less than two years old.

Died two weeks after warranty ended.
We were happy with this floor cleaner until it died two weeks after the warranty ran out. The message on the machine said to call customer service. We called and sat on hold until the automated system hung up on us (after holding for over 30 minutes). Then I tried email. I did finally got an answer from customer service, and it was even though my warranty was just days out of warranty, they would not cover anything on the machine. They didn’t even give an option for repair or offer any troubleshooting to fix the problem. the did off a slight discount on a new machine – which sells for almost $400. So if you want bad overseas customer service and no help when something goes wrong buy a machine from Tineco. I will not be replacing my machine with a new Tineco.

Doesn’t hold a charge
The media could not be loaded. Do not buy this brand. It will not be able to charge after a few years, if that. The charging nodes and base essentially stop talking to each other. I cleaned them with rubbing alcohol and still, nothing. Because it is out of warranty tineco will do nothing except offer me 20% off buying a new machine…which will likely do the same crap. For the $ spent on this, it is really disappointing! I have managed to find a way to get it to charge by just literally picking it up and putting it back down on the base until it finally holds the charge…but it takes about 10-20 mins sometimes to get to that point. Every 15 seconds, lift the machine, put it back down, let it charge for 10-15 seconds ..and then it stops. Repeat for 10-20 mins until you finally win. But as a mom of 4 with a fulltime job…this is not ideal. I dont have that kind of time. Highly inconvenient, poor quality, and bad brand. Looking at buying bissell or shark to replace this machine!

Charging problem-Junk
A warning for anyone considering this product. At some point it will stop charging and the unit will be useless. There are countless youtube reports and consumer reports regarding this issue with the Tineco S3. Mine is now dead in the water and out of warranty. It will not charge. Instead of sending to Tineco and having the fix for a fee, I’m going to find a better product. There should be a recall or class action law suit. This is not just isolated issues. It’s widespread.

AVOID AT ALL COST
After having this product for 2 years. I have gone through manufacturer warranty twice and they don’t make it easy for you to return them for repair. They want you to find and pay for your own box which can be a hassle due to the dimension of the product. Battery charging has been an issue by a lot of people, not just me. Youtube it if you don’t believe me. Don’t bother with their products… they will fail within a year.

I love this mop/vacuum. It’s works great on tile floors it picks up all the water you clean with. Just wish the water resevor was larger so you could clean longer without having to change/empty the water and refill. It’s lite weight and very easy to use.

Cleans well but impossible to empty completely
It cleans well, but the container that holds the clean water and cleaning solution doesn’t completely empty and is impossible to air dry. It got mold in it after only a few uses and can’t be removed as it’s inside the plastic where the nozzle is.

Since I was so pleased with the first time I used my S3 Cordless Floor Cleaner, I was very distraught that it would not operate correctly when I used it a second time. I must report to you that the problem with my floor washer was DUE TO MY ERROR.. I did not assemble the unit correctly. I overlooked (did not use) the dry filter. This causes the unit to not vacuum up the water properly into the DWT. I studied the instruction manual again and became aware that I did not install the dry filter. It seems to be working fine now. The company representative asked me questions and help me to determine what the problem might be and offered me the opportunity to return the unit since it is still within Amazon’s 30 day return policy. *English was spoken slowly and distincly. *Rep was polite and patient. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE Also, I asked the second representative a question about the reliability of this specific product and he gave me a very HONEST answer. I know it’s honest because I knew the answer when I asked the question. I look forward to being a long time customer of Tineco products.

Love and hate relationship
This product makes it easy to clean the floors, and it does a decent job. However, the tanks are small, and you have to stop and refill it multiple times during the cleaning process. Also, doing that takes a lot of time. I usually vacuum before cleaning with this cause, if I don’t, the dog hair will clog the mop every 5 mins or so. That entails pulling the roll apart and removing the wet dog hair. My god hair is very short so, I don’t see what the problem is. It maneuvers well around our small house. I wish it had bigger weather tanks, and the suctions was better so, it wouldn’t get clog.

Stopped charging up. It’s a common problem with this model. Don’t buy!!! I have to stand by it and continually reset on charging so it’s charging for a few seconds at a time. At this point it’s useless. Look up this problem before purchasing.

Amazing – time saving wonder
This is the best wet/dry vac I’ve ever had. I HATED mopping more than anything and I felt like no matter how many fancy mops I bought, none of them left the floor clean. This is so fast- it has great suction, moves with ease, self cleans, cordless, and easy to clean. It cleans the floor so fast I’ve put it into a nightly routine. We are talking what used to take me at least 1-2 hours now takes me like 20 min. A lot of people complain because it fills up with water quickly, which means you have to change the water and empty the old a few times while cleaning. But my gosh big deal when it only takes you 15-20 min to do the whole kitchen! Both times I’ve used it, I’ve run a single charge and haven’t had to stop to charge the battery. So great battery life! Love this thing so worth the investment.

I’m a senior on a fixed income and very tight budget. I saved for almost a year for this dual floor cleaner. I wish I would have used it as soon as I bought it because I would have returned it after the 1st use. This unit does nothing but wipe your floor. The slightest bump and the roller falls off. The water containers leak. I used it twice, Gave it to my neighbor and she returned it after her first use. Started saving again so I can get a new Bissell cleaner.

Tineco DOES NOT stand by their warranty
Warning to anyone thinking of purchasing a Tineco product—they do not stand by their warranty! Bought this machine, absolutely loved it, life changing, told everyone I knew to buy one. NEVER AGAIN!! Sent mine in to be repaired, it still worked but wouldn’t engage to mop (once in a while)….it was still under warranty. Was told they couldn’t repair it and they’d give me a 100 credit, I’d rather have my old machine back as it was in working condition 95% of the time!! They said they couldn’t send it back. Absolutely disheartening they don’t stand behind their product and warranty. Beware, they are amazing until they are not 🙁
