Balancing the Scales: The Pros and Cons of the Product
The product in question seems to have a number of advantages that have left several users satisfied. One of the most frequently mentioned positives is the “super cleaning power” of the vacuum, especially for those with pets. Users have noted its effectiveness in picking up hair and debris, making it an ideal choice for homes with furry friends. It is reported to handle hair without it getting twisted around the roller, a significant plus for maintenance.
Many have found the robot vacuum to be a game-changer, with one user stating, “It cleans very well.” and another exclaiming, “Love this vacuum! Cleans up great and uninterrupted!” For those looking for convenience, this product seems to deliver, with its ability to run on a schedule and its compatibility with smart home systems like Alexa for voice control.
The noise level of the vacuum has also been praised, with one user mentioning it is “much quieter than a different brand” they owned, which could be a significant advantage for those who prefer a quieter cleaning experience. Furthermore, its mapping capabilities, while not perfect, have been satisfactory for some, with the vacuum being able to navigate around obstacles and find its charging dock independently.
The battery life, under certain conditions such as normal suction during mapping, has been sufficient for cleaning entire houses, and the unit’s ability to resume after recharging is a noted benefit. Additionally, the larger dirt compartment has been appreciated for requiring less frequent emptying, especially in homes with pets that shed a lot.
However, there are several downsides to the product that potential buyers should consider. The most significant issues relate to the inconsistency in performance. Some users have experienced “Inconsistent battery life” where the vacuum would die halfway through cleaning, failing to complete the task in one go. Others have reported problems with the unit getting stuck or failing to find certain rooms, with one user frustratedly stating, “Couldn’t find the master bedroom, kept going over the same areas and getting stuck in corners.”
There are also complaints regarding the unit’s intelligence and navigation system. Users have described it as “bereft of common sense” with the robot failing to adhere to no-go zones and damaging furniture due to constant bumping. The app’s functionality has also been criticized, with users finding it buggy and unresponsive, sometimes leading to the inability to use the scheduling feature effectively.
Furthermore, there have been instances of the product having difficulty with certain types of furniture or obstacles, resulting in it getting stuck and needing human intervention. The noise level, while lower than some other brands, has been reported as loud on hardwood floors, which could be disruptive.
The maintenance of the unit seems to be a concern as well, with users noting that the trash tray is difficult to open and sometimes falls off during cleaning. Additionally, the robot’s inability to clean corners effectively has been a point of dissatisfaction for some customers.
In conclusion, while this robot vacuum cleaner seems to have impressed many users with its cleaning power, especially for pet hair and on various surfaces, it also has its fair share of drawbacks. Potential buyers should weigh the convenience of everyday cleaning and quiet operation against issues with navigation, battery life, and maintenance to determine if this product will meet their specific needs.

The most helpful positive feedback Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2023 by Julio Nunez, and is titled “Better than my last roomba.”
This little guy has an appetite for charging cords and nerf darts but he cleans his buns off. Much quieter than my last roomba, and smarter. He maps as he goes and cleans in a pattern, not like roomba, who cleaned like a drunk maid. This critter hardly gets stuck and he can clean specific rooms via Alexa. The dirt bin is pretty big and the rollers don’t get tangled up with hair like roomba did. Overall, way better experience than roomba for much less than a roomba.

People find the following negative one quite helpful. Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2023 by Helen Jane McLean, titled “The app is aggravating”
Has picked up all manner of dust and hair from places I can’t get the regular vacuum like under beds. Super helpful. Has only gotten stuck once! I hate the app. I had to restart my phone bc the app got stuck in a loop due to the map. I hit approve and it just decided I needed to edit the map anyway over and over. I am having to use the alexa app to control the vacuum now. Hate the app. If it wasn’t for the alexa app work around I would have returned the vacuum.

LOVE
Had this vacuum about 3.5 months now, running about 4-5 times a week through a 650 sq ft apartment on hard flooring with some shallow area rugs, and I love everything about it. Still working perfectly, nothing broken. I’ve needed to pull the roller out only twice so far, to remove hair that built up wrapped around the very end underneath the plastic housing where the brush cleaner doesn’t touch, but if you just leave the screws out of the plastic piece that secures the brush roller, and rely only on the snap fit, each time you need to clear out any built up hair only takes maybe 30 seconds. (And my roommate has very long hair, so if nobody in your household has long hair, this shouldn’t even be a problem you have to deal with.) Overall, this vacuum saves me a lot of time each day, and when I go around on the weekends to sweep or vacuum areas it can’t reach, there’s so much less dust and cat hair built up, since it’s being vacuumed off the main floor daily before it can migrate into the nooks and corners.

Not worth it
For the price of this, it’s not worth it. Ours worked properly for a few months and now won’t move past a 3 feet radius. We’ve tried re-mapping, but it constantly has an error. Wish I could return

The Shark app is not available in my region
I am not able to fully utilize my vacuum because I cannot download the Shark app in my region. Please make the app available!

Easy to set up!
The media could not be loaded. This vacuum was so easy to set up on the app! I have two large dogs and it surprises me every day at how much hair it collects. Definitely worth the money!

Love How It Handles Long Hair
The media could not be loaded. I don’t have any pets, but I do shed long brown hair constantly. This vacuum chops up the hair so it doesn’t clog the roller. I love the linear pattern, too. The metal strips work perfectly to block off sections of the house. The only con is that occasionally the back half gets caught on a sharp corner and “Jeeves” loses his diaper. And he keeps going. He should stop and send me a message. It’s fine because I just put it back on and tell him to finish his work. Love this Shark Vacuum. [Previously owned a Roomba 600 series that wasted time and battery cleaning in a random pattern, marred my baseboards, was constantly clogged with hair, and was disgusting to clean.]

Don’t buy this version!

Look at my pictures
I live in a one story 1,800 sq ft home. This thing gets caught all over the place. We pick up everything and put the magnet strips where it can get stuck. It gets stuck ON the strips. Every single day, I get a notification that it’s stuck somewhere. My house never gets fully done on days when it doesn’t even get stuck . It never mapped my house correctly. It never goes into my living room or my bedroom and bathroom.

After 7 months it no longer works
The Shark is my 3rd robo vacuum and it had the shortest life span. The trouble shooting guide says there is debris stuck in the roller but there is nothing there. When I put a new roller in, run the vacuum, it stops because the roller sticks. When I take the roller out again, it barely turns.
