The media could not be loaded. I noticed a lot of the bad things people were saying in the reviews had been fixed. I was able to easily move it into tight spaces and it turned right and left! It cleaned my floor better than any other vacuum I’ve had. You do have to empty it every 1 or 2 uses so far. I’m guessing that will be less the more and more you use it. I have no problems getting it to stand on its own. The bottom of it you can detach and take it to the stairs. It makes it a lot easier than just carrying the whole vacuum and it just stands there for you. I love this vacuum. It was a great deal for such and amazing working cleaning machine!
We bought this after seeing multiple people say they had thick/ shag carpet and it worked well for them. Well that was not the case for us! The vacuum legitimately sucked in our carpet and would not move. So it was powerful but when you have thick/plush carpet, that doesn’t work. Therefore if you have very thick carpet, it likely won’t work for you either.

I previously owned Bissell vacuum on the cheaper models so I can’t compare the higher end models to this one. I also owned a Shark cordless stick. All I can say is this gold among copper coins. The way it glides on our carpet and laminated floor alone was like going down a butter slide. The suction is powerful on this. The lowest level picked up this much dirt in our room alone! It’s also quieter than the previous vacuums I’ve owned so that’s a plus since we live in an apartment. I just wish it has lights like the other shark I owned. I do like to see the dirt, dander, and hair that’s being picked up. We have 2 dogs that shed and a toddler who likes to make a mess. I don’t think I’m gonna buy another vacuum for a few years and I don’t think I’ll ever buy cordless or non-Shark brands, ever. I got this on a sale which is a lot cheaper than the cordless I have. To summarize— it is powerful, lightweight, get a bang for your buck, and works a whole lot better than I expected it to! If you’re on the verge of buying like I was, GET IT!

Love this thing! I’ve had it 2 months. I recently moved into a new place where it was apparent the carpets had never been cleaned. I’m telling you I put this thing through the wringer fresh out of the box. It’s versatile it’s durable. It has impressive capacity. The filters are easy to access and easy to clean. awful – nothing like the powered lift-away
This vacuum has fine suction – nothing wrong with that part of the equation. Everything else is terrible. The attachments are near worthless…or just plain missing? No hardfloor attachment, no lift-away rotating attachment. The attachments that did come with it just fall off and don’t fit the long handle tube attachment. The “long” handle is so short, I have to bend over to use it – which hurts my back. The vacuum is impossible to move forward and backward on a carpet – OMG you need to be a bodybuilder with enormous lats to even move it a couple of inches. So tiresome to use. I’m exhausted and do NOT want to touch it ever again. I literally hate this thing.

If you have a dog… DO NOT BUY!!! You can’t take the roller off without unscrewing the entire vacuum. It takes 20 minutes to pull and cut all the hair out after every single time you vacuum.

misleading manual regarding attachment tools
I need a rigid extension that is at least 24 inches long to clean under large furniture. The Shark NV360 comes with a manual that shows such a tool is available. Well, surprise, surprise! It does NOT fit the NV360. If I had known, I wouldn’t have purchased it. But having tried it out and gotten it dusty as a result…I can’t return it. I feel cheated.

Attachment for cleaning crevices is not long enough and too large at the top to insert further.
My only problem with this vacuum is the crevice tool. I have to clean the vent under the lint trap on the clothes dryer frequently, and the Shark attachment isn’t long enough to reach down as far as needed. Because it is too thick at the top, I cannot insert it further into the vent. The Shark tool is 6 inches in length. The attachment on the Hoover I had previously was 11 inches in length, and worked well for the task.

Not user friendly!
Yes, great suction, but 1) to switch from carpet to floor the control is an awkward switch halfway down the wand instead of where your hand and handle is, 2) they make the concept of the portable vacuum (detached from the wand) look easy. It is actually pretty heavy and large and only for small duration, 3) You cannot clean under a bed or furniture. The motor area is too tall. If you switch to the handheld, to line-up to the floor the wand has to be at 45 degree angle because the floor attachment does not sway. Attaching and detaching from the wand to vacuum under the couch is ridiculous. I returned and bought the corded Shark stick duo detect and am much happier

My least favorite vacuum
I love the shark brand. My last vacuum got gobbled by the dog so I needed a new one. This one had decent reviews and was supposed to be better than the shark I had before. Unless it is loose dirt this thing does not pick up. It leaves dog hair behind, won’t suck up tiny shards of glass from a broken jar, and won’t get dog food or anything else small like that. My last one did. It seems to be an issue with the part that rolls over the floor. The hose works great suction wise but has zero stretch and you can’t reach up high with it. It comes with 3 attachments but ONE attachment spot so the other pieces are already lost to the void. My last shark had a spot for each attachment. I am not thrilled at all with this vacuum and wish I had not purchased it

Need the power of a black hole in your home? Look no further. Assembly was quick and easy, but found out immediately this vacuum sucks so hard it can’t vacuum my area rugs without shutting off because it detects a jam. The hand attachment sucked hard enough on my couch it pulled the lining way from the fabric/foam.

Made for small houses or apartments
It is OK for the price. The cord is too short and won’t reach around my whole room. The bin that traps all of the debris is too small and needs to be emptied during the whole home vacuuming if you have pets that shed. A lot of plastic pieces that probably won’t hold up over time. Suction is good. The handle for using the wand is awkward and because the attachments are hooked to it, makes it difficult to use the wand for vacuuming under furniture. I would not buy again.

Vacuum broke after 6 month of light use. Okay fine, what happens now? I was wondering. Called the customer service and 1 year warranty was in effect. I had to pay the shipping cost but that was peanut compared to spending another 200 plus dollars. (shipping cost was 20 dollars) I was expecting some kind of round about excuses and not expecting the company issuing replacement unit. No, this is not your grandma’s Kirby that lasted half the century. But this was kind of unexpected. Sucks up alot
The first one that came, was used and filled with dirt. Amazon took care of it and sent another. After having the vacuum now, it does pick up ALOT of dirt/pet hair. It does not do well on area rugs. The brush wants to stop rolling. It is a little heavier than any other vacuum I have had before.

Problems with this design
I bought this after the NY Times Wirecutter gave it top marks. It’s powerful but the design of this vacuum is not good for several reasons: the AC cord emerges from the unit near the floor, so you can expect to bend over frequently to pick up the cord. When you empty the collection chamber, that releases dust into the room. I will never get a bagless vacuum again. What is the point of having HEPA filters when you have to open the collection bin and dump it into the garbage? I also have to reach into the collection bin with my fingers to free up dust and debris that gets trapped in the tight spaces there. Big yuck. The handle is good for pushing the vacuum around the floor, but absolutely terrible if you want to detach the handle and use it as a wand with attachments. The ergonomic design of the handle is terrible for this purpose.

Terrific suction
This product was easy to assemble. It is a bit top-heavy and wobbly on carpet and it is not designed for left-handed people. Perhaps the cord could be in the center instead of on the right side. It is heavier than I expected, even at 16 lbs. The suction, though, which is the reason for a vacuum cleaner, is fabulous! Worth the money but will take a bit of adjustment on my part to get used to an upright vs a canister.

I would like to say this is a great product. It does have great suction and works well if you can get it to move, but is very very hard to get it to move on carpet! There’s no adjustment for height. Our carpet is not even high! Very unhappy with this vacuum!!!

Poor Design
Although this vacuum works well, the design is horrible! The cord comes from the back on the bottom and I have stepped on it and fallen because of the cord position. Also, there is no light as most vacuums have so you can not see what you are vacuuming. The handle that you take off to attach the attachments to has the tubing where the dirt goes into but…..that tubing is so stiff that it doesn’t stretch far enough to allow you to get into the crevices or whatever you are trying to do

Cord holder is too small so the cord doesn’t stay wrapped up. Such a waste of money. I bought it for the price and good reviews. Very disappointed that I already have to shop for a new vacuum so soon.

East to use on bare floors
I like this but I think it’s a little difficult to push on carpet. My back was hurting half way through cleaning. It’s not heavy to lift but hard to maneuver on carpet. I may send it back.

Not Happy 🙄
It broke within a year. Things get caught and stopped up inside the vaccum even with regular cleaning. Started making a high pitched noise a couple of months ago and can not figure out what is causing it. Replaced all filters and took apart the whole thing. Before it broke: The suction for carpets is so high that its hard to move it back and forth on the carpet. In contrast, the suction for the floor is close to nothing. No light on the front.

I just received myShark Upright Vacuum, Navigator Lift-Away with Swivel Steering, HEPA Filter, XL Dust Cup, Pet Power, Dusting Brush, and Crevice Tool, Perfect for Pet Hair, White/Silver, NV356E. I am very frustrated. I spent a long time comparing Shark models and finally chose this vacuum. I somehow missed that there is no light on this model but did not realize it until I put it together and ran it. Now I am stuck with this vacuum and would have very much preferred one with a light.

The reviews helped me get this. I bought it for my daughter house, when I visit I help.clean and this vacuum is amazing. The dirt in the canister tells everything one needs to know It sucks stuff from the underlay. Love this vacuum.

Very strong suction
Good for bare or very low pile carpet, but extremely strong suction, even adjusted to lowest setting, can be difficult to push on anything with a pile. Don’t use it around your kitten!😳
