The media could not be loaded. I noticed a lot of the bad things people were saying in the reviews had been fixed. I was able to easily move it into tight spaces and it turned right and left! It cleaned my floor better than any other vacuum I’ve had. You do have to empty it every 1 or 2 uses so far. I’m guessing that will be less the more and more you use it. I have no problems getting it to stand on its own. The bottom of it you can detach and take it to the stairs. It makes it a lot easier than just carrying the whole vacuum and it just stands there for you. I love this vacuum. It was a great deal for such and amazing working cleaning machine!
We bought this after seeing multiple people say they had thick/ shag carpet and it worked well for them. Well that was not the case for us! The vacuum legitimately sucked in our carpet and would not move. So it was powerful but when you have thick/plush carpet, that doesn’t work. Therefore if you have very thick carpet, it likely won’t work for you either.

Defective motor after 6 weeks use
It was great at first and a month and a half agree using it, it stopped working. The motor is loud and sounds like it’s vacuuming, but there’s no suction happening. There was hot air blowing out the side and the motor area was hot to touch. Amazon’s return window closed after a month. Not I have to see if Shark will replace it.

The vacuum is shocking me!!
I would’ve reached out for product support, but it’s two months past the window. When I try and use the hand piece to pick up things along the floorboard, I keep getting shocked, small continual shocks. The first time it happened I thought I was imagining things, but then it continued to happen. So there’s obviously something really wrong inside the hand piece. I wish I had used the hand piece earlier rather than just the vacuum part so that I would’ve recognize this problem early on. But I didn’t really have a need until recently. Now it’s past the return date and past product support help. The main reason I bought this vacuum was it had the stick attachment/hand piece that I could use when needed and now I can’t use it. Wasted money and a true safety issue! Be careful if you decide to buy this vacuum!

I read all the bad reviews of this vacuum and I kept seeing that it had too much suction and was hard to move around. The suction is great that’s for sure (it picks up small dust particles) but I don’t get what people were saying about the hard to maneuver/ move around part. Junk!
Powerful piece of worthless junk. This vacuum does not come with the proper floor brush to fit under furniture and clean close to baseboards. The heavy brush that it comes with doesn’t fit under any furniture at all -not under bedside tables or couches-nothing. I bought an off-brand floor brush, and it just keeps falling off. I can’t believe sharks sell this piece of junk to people. My floor space is too big for an electric vacuum so I opted for this and it’s one of my biggest regrets ever I will never buy shark again. I will go back to trusted Brands like Electrolux or Hoover. I really don’t know what people were thinking with this terrible design. If you want to know what real cleaners want, please reach out.

I’ll start by saying that I went from a Dyson DC 17 to this vacuum. I should have just paid to have my Dyson repaired because I really hate this vacuum. It does have decent pick up when the canister is empty and everything is clean. If you don’t clean the filter and the canister between cleanings, which is very time-consuming, it stinks and does not pick up as well. You also have to remove screws to get to the roller in order to clean it. The things that I hate most about this vacuum are that it falls over constantly, and the accessory hose and power cords are way too short. Definitely would not buy again.

Great suction. Really picks up pet hair on tile and carpet. But if you have a house full of carpet this is not the one for you. It is not self driven and is really hard to push when on carpet, even on the lower suction setting. I will probably keep it as it does really well on tile floors and I only have two large area rugs. The attachments included fall off while using them, very irritating. Nothing locks them in the hose. But great suction!

A bit overhyped
I bought this because of how highly reviewed it was. Overall I’m a bit disappointed. The cord is too short and requires constant unplugging. It also seems to always be in the way. On a number of occasions, I have passed the vacuum over a piece of debris on the floor, and it won’t suck it up on the first pass.

So it’s a bunch of cheap plastic feeling, but for the price? Best vacuum out there. This thing sucks. If you have high pile carpet I would stay away from this as even with the slide open thingy to reduce the suction, I still find it getting stuck on my area rug. If you have low carpet or hardwood floor, this thing is great.

I’m honestly cannot believe how strongly this performs
I got this as a deeply discounted deal on prime day, and was skeptical. I was worried it wouldn’t have strong suction or something (I kept thinking: what’s wrong with it?) boy was I wrong!!!! Really wanted to give 5 stars but….
Bought this to replace my original Shark Navigator vac that’s 20 y/o that still works but thought I’d give this one a try. It does look good and works great and I’d really like to give it 5 stars…..but they cheaped out on the hose. It’s way way way too short to be of any use no matter how you use the vacuum- even when using it as the “lift away” feature it’s way too short. It’s almost even too short when it’s connected to the vacuum as an upright it’s stretched tight. They could have spent maybe $5 – $10 more & added 2 or more feet to the hose and this would be a perfect vacuum. Other than that it’s a great cleaner.

Lightly used and stopped working
This is our second shark vacuum that has barely lasted a year. It just stopped working in the middle of using it. With the first one, we decided to purchase another and thought it was a fluke, now it has happened with a second one. Both had very light use, about once a month. Bummer for sure.

What a winner!
It’s not often I find an item so spectacular to leave a review. I figure you buy it and most times it ok or sufficient. But WOW! This has been the best item yet! I vacuum often, every other day if not every day. We do not wear shoes on the carpet, and pet pretty much stays on the tiled areas. I thought I had a good vacuum but after I tried this one….. Great vacuum!
I got this on sale during prime day! As a loyal Dyson vacuum owner for the past 10+ years, I thought I’d give a Shark a try. The price is very good, and the suction works better than my Dyson did. It works great for all my husky dog’s hair. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is it isn’t able to go under furniture, but taking the wands off are easy to get under furniture.

Who actually designed this Vacuum?
Does the job but has three glaring design flaws. First, the power cable is not very long and connects to the main body of the vacuum at the base of the suction container. This might seem like a decent idea to grant extra length on an already short cable but all it really does is guarantee that you will step on the cord at every. possible. opportunity. Next time, place the cable near the top of the container body so that owners do not have to reach down to the floor to hold the cable and so that it does not so easily get under-foot. Second, the attachment location for the hand/hose attachment. This hose attaches at the top of the suction container, thereby guaranteeing that the vacuum will over balance and fall on its side unless you plan on carrying the entire thing with you into every nook and cranny in your home. Attache the hose near the base of the container so that it will roll with the user as they reach for out of the way areas. Lastly, the hose attachment for the spin head. It is located on the right side of the spin head and connects through a plastic friction adapter. This connection is so terribly flimsy that you will find yourself spraying debris all over your floors if you so much as bump the spin head against any low object in your home. Just, be better SHARK. Honestly.

5 stars for carpets and convenience It works great on carpets. I had a bulky Eureka before this, and was pleased that this much lighter vacuum does almost as good of a job on carpets. I have cats and litter gets stuck in carpets and can be hard to get out. This vacuum does an excellent job with this. I also have a Roomba and find this vacuum does better job on carpets. Other positives: It is great that it is bagless to reduce waste. The canister is very easy to detach, empty, and reattach. The ease of detaching the canister also makes it convenient for things like vacuuming stairs with the attachments. The entire vacuum is very lightweight making it easy to carry around. Finally, the price for this vacuum can’t be beat for the job that it does. Minus 2 stars for bare floors and other issues Sadly, it does not do a good job on bare floors. It is fine for things like hair and dust, but terrible for heavier things. As I said I have cats and they track litter. I will vacuum the laminate and tile, and still see so much litter remaining. I have to use the attachments to get it all up – it works, but adds extra labor to vacuuming. Other negatives: When using attachments, it will tip over unless you remove it from the base. Also, because the suction is so strong (good), the attachments get pulled off when in use (not good).

Shark could do a lot better than this
I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. A lot of the negatives Described on this were definitely Obvious. The power cord is much too short. The flex neck, way too short and barely reaches to anywhere. It has tremendous suction, but the floor portion does not suck up any things like grape seeds, cherry seeds, or anything of any size. As a matter fact, it will hold them and then spit them out somewhere else and you look around and find out you left a bunch of junk on the floor that you thought you had got. I caution anybody Who considers purchasing this vacuum sweeper. It is a useless piece of junk in my opinion. Shark with all their knowledge and ability came up with something that is useless. The only thing this vacuum sweeper has tremendous suction power, but that power is lost, depending on what accessories you use. I’ll end up throwing it away. I won’t even bother returning it. These companies do basic trial runs on these products and then sell them to the public. The trial runs are useless and only test the basic qualities of the vacuum sweeper. They don’t take it into a home-like atmosphere and run it across all the areas and throw things down that it would normally have to deal with in a normal house. Shark has a long ways to go before they create something useful. This sweeper is not useful.

I just got this vacuum today and put it together. Amazon states: “Light kit included” — BUT there is no light kit! Did anyone get a light kit? The shark website does not list any “light kit” for this vacuum on their “parts and accessories” page for this model. I’m probably going to return this vacuum.

Easy to handle, suction is OK, and works fine. It’s a cross between a cordless Dyson and a regular vacuum cleaner. The dirt and dust can get stuck once in a while in the container, but very easy to get out.
