I did not see any listing of compatible manufacturers, but saw that users indicated it worked on their Ford. It failed to link with my Escape. The manual only says if it fails to link, the connection is bad (not) at the OBD plug or at the device (not) or the vehicle is not OBDIII compliant. I looked online and found a listing of compatible cars. Ford was not on that list. Not stated in the description. I tried to register the device with their website to get assistance but it would not accept the serial number the device shows on the screen. Tried half a dozen times. The helpline is country code 86, China, so I passed on that long distance opportunity as well. Seemed easier to just return it rather than chase the tail for resolution. Appears to be a good product, and the screens I could observe were clear and easy to read. Disappointed.

It’s Ok. As far as a Code Reader it’s good. As far as reading Live Data not so much. It doesn’t even display Eng Coolant Temp. And that was one of the items I wanted to be able to read. So, its limited Live Data. Also, I had asked the ques about updates via Windows 11. This was the answer I received: “Dear Customer. Sorry, foxwell nt301 plus is not support update on Windows 11, only Lifetime free update Windows on 7/8/10. Please feel free to contact us if you need any other help.” Gives me concern that if I get a new laptop down the road with Windows 11 … will Foxwell update their Updater Tool to work on 11. If they don’t, it will become a brick if you can’t update it.

Purchased on sale before holidays. I have used this product several times. I diagnosed a code on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK concerning a bad thermostat. The vehicle was not overheating, but not reaching temperature. This code diagnostic tool gave me the direction to diagnose and repair the problem myself. Again, I purchased this product on sale, and it paid for itself as listed above. I used online videos, Amazon review videos and manufacturer website videos as guidance to update and use device. With a little mechanical knowledge of vehicles and the above input you will have no problem using this device. Quality product so far as I have owned it for 6 months without any issues.

Do not expect to get any help
The best I can say is it seems well made. Do not expect to be able to use it straight out of the box. The instructions seem to be in broken English. You’ll need a user dictionary (not offered) to figure out many of the abbreviations. This might not be that bad if you’ve used a reader in the past. The unit also seems a bit slow to respond, though that not a big deal…. In general… I’m disappointed. Glad I didn’t pay full price.

got this to shut the evap solenoid vent valve to preform smoke testing. says signal sent, but did nothing. has the monitor test button, but the displayed info was correct, had to go thur the obd 2 feature to run the monitor test and it worked that way. but was more steps. my 10+ year scanner did a better job.

My car has two batteries: one for normal op, and a smaller one for engine start/stop
I just got both batteries new: the big normal car battery is from ORiely AGM with claim 640 CCA Test with this device show actual crank at 590, charge 100% battery good but health at 93%! Is this normal for a few day old battery? The other battery is a DieHard AGM. This battery is smaller and it only for engine auto start/stop. This one is 410 CCA. Test show crank at above 410, charge 100% and health 100%

This OBD11 reader is not what I would call easy to use as it has many functions. Using the basic function, yes it is easy. I can’t judge accuracy yet, I’ve not found any errors thus far. It does not turn off all CEL It has not detected one in my wife’s Jeep, so is it accuracy or me not understanding the function. I have or had two other OBDII readers, the better I could not find and the lessor is, well less than desired. I have no complaints and stores well in the sip case. For the money, it seems to be of good value.

Being able to view sensor input in real time finally helped me narrow down on a bad MAF sensor that was occurring intermittently for the past few months. Purchased this OBII tester. Works great, but limited to what you can test. If you just need basic troubleshooting and testing it good for that application. Read the manufacturer web sight on the the model for what you’ll needing it for. I upgraded to the next Foxwell model.
