Used maybe 3-4 times since purchasing in 2019. Worked perfectly. Checked charge maybe every 3-4 months.. charge stable or re-charged as needed. Now 2024, doesn’t hold a charge. Not sure 3-4 times of use was worth $100. Felt safe having this. Thinking of trying another model.

what’s in the box?
so i can’t say if this thing is any good. Because there in no way to use it out of the box. The picture and description on amazon show a car charger (which would be worthless for a device to charge dead batteries) and a 42 inch 2.1 usb cord. You get neither. You get a C to C short cord with not hub or port. I have about 20 cubes for USB but none for USB-C its hould be disclosed that you will need an additional part. Update the listing. The only thing worse was amazon support which told me to hold for 3 minutes 12 times until I hung up. So pissed about the customer no service that I cancelled Prime

The description and picture is incorrect
The description and picture are incorrect. The GB40 ships without the car cigarette lighter charging adapter and comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable rather than the one shown according to NOCO when I called them. The product has been upgraded but the listing has not. I contacted the manufacturer about why I received incorrect product and their response was that it had been upgraded and some third party sellers had not upgraded their information. This is listed on the NOCO amazon store so I assume NOCO has something to do with the listing and I brought that to their attention. They did not seem concerned at all that it was incorrect and I’m just out of luck with no car charging adapter. Unacceptable. Fix your listing NOCO, be professional. As of this review posting, it still hasn’t been corrected. I haven’t used it yet but I gave it one star for extreme indifference by the manufacturer. If I wasn’t in quick need of a jumper for a trip I’m taking I would have sent it back. Now I get to go buy a car adapter for this.

Do not buy comes without reccomended charger which they do not sell
This has great reviews. It is an incomplete product. It does not come with a charger. The instructions which has a font that it is not readable unless you take a picture and enlarge it, recommend the Noco 10W 12 V power adapter to charge it. It does not come with it and they do not sell it. I am sending it back. Companies have gotten real cheap at not adding an adapter that costs them 50 cents. If enough of us start sending products without adapters back. They will start putting them in because it is more expensive to receive a product back. Join me and send any product back that does not come with a charger. Thanks

Compact size, appears to be well-built and rugged. A thick book of instructions is included for more than a dozen languages, BUT NOT ENGLISH! Instructions (PDF) are available on-line at the Noco Website. It is not possible to charge the unit directly from a 110-volt wall outlet, just a very low power (i.e., slower) USB port. Doesn’t include a 110-volt AC outlet, which would be nice.

I love this product! It has jumped several cars for me as I am always at car shows and automotive events. It has saved my when I didn’t have a way to charge my phone, thanks to it’s USB outputs and when I didn’t have a flashlight! I have used it for 3 consecutive jumps without charging it (though I wouldn’t recommend as common practice) and charged multiple devices as well. Seriously worth the investment.

Very low quality charge plug connections
The charge connections on these battery’s is really a weak point when considering the quality of this product. I bough each family member one so they wouldn’t get stranded with a dead battery. All 4 of them eventually ended up not being able to be charged due to the connection contacts getting all jazzed up. Very disappointed.

Worth it
When it comes to something that I’m going to depend on to make sure my car starts and I can get to work, this was the best choice. Sure they make cheaper alternatives, but at what cost? Not something I was willing to roll the dice with. The quality is great, it’s easy to use, and most importantly it works when you need it to. Went out to a car this morning that wouldn’t start and with the help of this, had it running in less than two minutes. A lot of stress has been lifted knowing I won’t have to rely on anyone else if I had a dead battery. Well worth the money.

I bought this a long time ago, put it in my emergency road kit and forgot about it… Until my truck died. After being tossed around and forgotten so long, I didn’t even know if the pack would take a charge, but it did! Took almost 4 hours on a usb to wall cable. Worked perfectly the first time
So far I’ve only used this device once, to jump start my 2008 Honda Civic, but it worked perfectly the first time. I gave the device a full charge, as recommended, and used it without any issues. (Something of which buyers should be aware, though: The manual that comes with the device is simply a safety warning pamphlet, written in about two dozen different languages. You’ll have to scan a QR code to get to the online user manual. A slight annoyance, but nothing worth taking a star away.)

Aall I needed from this was for it to wor and it did. Sometimes you buy these but they don’t have enough voltage for your engine. If you do buy a jumper just double check to see how much voltage you need for your make and model. I think this one works for most models. I did end up needing to run my car for a bit longer after the jump, but this sames me a lot of time for those moments I accidentally leave my interior light on.

Got it the next day I needed it, lol worked good had a few light settings and three ? I think faster strobe settings on it other then the standard flashlight, USB ports ect i saw the step up from this one at my work, we have have it for our diesel equipment that likes to drain overnight decided to look up the brand and model im happy with mine so far seems well built has some weight to it too.

Great little jump starter
Wish I had bought 1 of these a long time ago. I love the size as it is easy to store in my vehicle. Then when needed it has all the power I need to start my full size sedan to my 1 ton cargo van. The battery life on it is also amazing as I get atleast 5-6 jumps on it before needing to recharge. The lights on it have also come in handy as they are bright and have several different modes.
