Disappointing
This should be enough power to start my Ford Transit Van (RV), and my Honda Odyssey. When my Honda battery went out, I used this to start the engine. It worked, but the next morning when I was ready to drive to get a new battery, this device would not start my Honda even though I made sure it was fully charged. It also needs to have a hard case for storage.

I purchased this one because the other brand I had before wasn’t available. This one uses a lot of its “juice” pretty quickly. And each time I needed to push the boost button. The other brand I had didn’t require it. Don’t get me wrong, it works but 1) it has to be on full charge and 2) may not work a second time if it doesn’t jump the first time.

Useful product but design improvements needed.
Excellent product that’s very handy & works as advertised! However the clamp protector plastic is pathetic. Broke off the first time I used it. Also makes it hard to use in cramped spaces. It doesn’t affect the functionality too much but is a major turnoff. Nobody likes to have a poorly designed element.

This little jump starter is a life saver. When I returned home from California to 4-degree weather in Chicago, I was shocked my Volvo would not start. I ordered this little beauty on Amazon, received it the same day and was AMAZED how well it worked. The cord for this item did not fit in the charger. My dad ordered a new cord as it was his Christmas gift from me. That cord didn’t fit either. After notifying the company they determined that the charger must be faulty.

This is super easy to carry around and use and has never failed to jump start my car. I often go out of town. My car battery has many more years of life left in it, but it is getting old, and it showed the aging sign last year when it couldn’t start my car after I was out for 2 weeks. That’s when I bought this. I had charged it once and have used it to jump start my car 4-5 times since then and it still has 3 bars of battery left. I have put it in my glove box (it’s that small) and can leave my car still in winter for a week or two without any worries.

It Didn’t Jump Start My 2007 Honda Accord
I hate to write bad reviews but unfortunately, I had to return the jumpstart kit and order another one from Stanley. Did not jump start a dead battery in a 2007 Honda Accord that had been sitting up. I used my neighbor’s Stanley Professional Power Station, that comes with air compressor, and it started it right up. I ordered the Stanley from AutoZone. I wouldn’t recommend and I can’t trust it in an emergency. I need something that works on dead batteries.

Good for one quick use per day
I will say it did start my 2014 Camaro that had been sitting in my garage for 3 years so 5 stars there. However my son turned the car off to put air in the tires before driving it around, so we needed to jump it again about 30 minutes later. The charger was completely dead after the one charge and now it’s not charging back up. It doesn’t hold charge and takes 10+ hours to charge back up.

The unit seems solid, the inclusion of a drawstring bag is nice, but the thick booklet written in 53 different languages is just warnings and indemnifications. NO ACTUAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE ARE INCLUDED IN ANY LANGUAGE. I have no idea why they thought this was the way to go. Hoping for the best if I ever have to use it, I guess but that is a baffling and frustrating decision on the manufacturer’s part. The best you get is the product marketing materials on the Amazon product detail page. But I now know how to say “Death or serious injury may occur” in Magyar. So I’ve got that going for me. Which is nice.

Noco Gb40 booster
I bought this item on a recommendation from a friend his GB40 came with a standard USB cable & 12volt car charger. When I received my New GB 40 it did not have the standard USB cable & 12 volt car charger. I contacted Noco and they told me they stopped providing New GB 40’s with a standard USB cable & car 12v adaptor and the cable it now comes with can’t be used to charge the GB 40 booster & my cell phone because there is No USB end on it, so now I have to purchase a wall adaptor to charge the GB 40 & new cable to charge my cell phone with the GB 40 so if you buy one of these Noco booster’s be warned you will have to purchase additional items on your own to charge the GB 40 and to charge a cell phone.

You get a book of warnings a 1/2 inch thick, written in a hundred languages, but no instructions. You get a charging cable, but no wall charger adapter. This might be a good product, but it sure ticks you off they cut corners with these details

Amazing product!
I had our old Toyota Honda sitting in our driveway for the last year, have not started it up at all, and the battery was completely dead, no signs of life. I initially tried using jumper cables and another car, no luck… not a single light turned on. I decided to try the NOCO and sure enough after plugging it in and letting it work, the lights on the console turned on full blast, and all of the interior lights were completely on as well. I tested the ignition and it was ready to start. All it needed was a little gas and sure enough it instantly started after the first attempt. I was blown away at how amazing this small little box worked on such a big car. Will definitely keep it in my car if it ever happens again!

Well built, but doesn’t work for me
Unfortunately the NOCO GB40 didn’t work for me with my 2023 Lexus RX350h. The GB40’s reach between clamps is too short. The RX350h requires the black clamp connected to a metal spot on the left side of the engine, while the red clamp attaches in the fuse box on the right side. Trying to use a nearby screw can be dangerous because most of the reachable bolts are attached to or close to the ECU, and jumping using one of those can fry the ECU (and that’s expensive). I emailed NOCO support and was told that they don’t make longer cables and don’t recommend trying to extend the cable using another jumper cable. So back it went. I ended up with a Schumacher that has longer cables, and it works great, allowing me to attach to the two “official” places documented by Lexus.

Old Unit Sent
When I received this unit I charged it for 5 hours on two different plugs and it wouldn’t charge past 25%. Contacted customer support and told me it can take up to 12 hours to fully charge. Charged it for another 13 hours and nothing. Used another cable instead of the supplied one and no luck either. Got in touch with customer service again and they asked for the serial number on it. Gave them the serial number and responded back that the one I had is over 8 years old. They offered a discount for a new one so I will be returning the one from amazon back and going directly through NOCO website. I will say their customer service rep responded quickly to my issues each time.

I purchased this jumper kit after my truck died. I asked someone if they would help jump my truck. He had this charger and it fired right up. Another friend has one and had left it his truck during very cold temperatures, he thought it might need a charge, in fact it was still fully charged. Today at work I tried to jump a snow mobile with out luck, not from the charger, the snow mobiles starter was frozen. I’m buyingh this for each of my family. It will jump gas or diesel power vehicles. Highly recommend for every drivers. 12 volt & 1,000 amps. 10 stars all the way!

Great investment
My car battery started going bad recently, so I decided to purchase this incase it died at an inconvenient time before I had time to get it replaced. This thing works amazing and it’s compact in size, comes with a storage bag, and can also be used as an emergency charger and flashlight. The light can also flash and blink which could be used at night if broken down in the side of the road. I could see how that would come in handy if having to change a flat tire at night. Overall great product!
