Never worked on any of my cars, not super powerful
I have owned this thing over 2 years, and it has never once actually started any of my cars. I have gotten a couple revolutions, but that’s about it. I have given this thing plenty of chances. Read and reread the instructions to make sure I am not missing anything. Made sure it was fully charged. Tried multiple times on multiple vehicles, thankfully I also keep a pair of jumper cables. To be fair it is typically in the cold, but definitely wouldn’t rely on it. The only car this thing ever started was a strangers honda civic. When using it, the battery depletes pretty quickly. Waited the 30 seconds for it to charge the vehicle battery as per the instructions, and giving it anything more than 2 cranks seems unfeasible, it is usually pretty dead by that point. For spending over $100 on it, not super pleased. At least it makes a decent battery bank for my phone….

I drive a mid 2000’s sedan in a region with a very cold climate for much of the year. I also work from home, so I frequently go multiple days without driving my car. This has bitten me in the behind on more than one occasion, as on some of the colder days after leaving it for a while, I’ve found my car unable to start without a jump. There has never been an instance so far where I have been unable to start my car with the NOCO! I liked it so much that I bought my mom one for Christmas the year after I got mine, and I’m buying my brother one this Christmas!

Failed when I needed it!
I have a 2020 Honda Ridgeline not a big truck medium size. So My battery dies fortunately in front of my garage and not out in the middle of nowhere. So I pull out the jumper out of my trunk using it for the first time and thinking all right this is why I paid $99 for this freaking thing. Hook it up tried to turn on the car nothing happened. Waited 30 seconds like it says in the instructions it couldn’t jump it. Try it again not exceed five times in 15 minutes nothing could not turn the engine on. What a piece of crap this product is! Fortunately a neighbor came by and I jumped my truck. Don’t ever trust this thing I was lucky I was right in front of my garage and not out in the middle of nowhere which I often do when I go fishing. Would not recommend this thing whatsoever what a piece of garbage!

This is an amazing product. I left the dome light on in my car all night and all through the day. My car battery was completely dead. I couldn’t get the car to make a sound. No lights, NOTHING! I connected the Noko Boost Plus to my car battery and all of a sudden the panic button went off on my car, and the lights started flashing, and my car CAME TO LIFE. This tiny little Noko Boost Plus really packs a punch! Now my car is running and I didn’t have to get somebody else to connect their car with mine with jumper cables. I am so grateful!

Saved my behind
My car used to have a parasitic draw and would leave me stranded. This thing has time and time again saved me in a pinch. Just keep it charged, read the instructions, and let it do its thing. My battery was so dead, that it didn’t recognize that it was connected to the darn thing. Thanks to the override button, the car suddenly kicked to life and started right up without issue. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS This is coming from an auto-technician who has used a plethora of portable car jump starters. It’s easy enough to figure out, but just read the darn instructions. Doing the walk of shame to dig them out of the trash to find out how to use the override was not fun.

I was able to charge my vehicle with this devise right out the box. But my vehicle died again and the next time it drained the charger. When I went to charge the charger I see the USB-C cable is incompatible with anything in my house and no adapter was provided. So now I have to buy something else so I can plug it into a wall outlet to charge it. The charger cable in the product picture on here is not the cable I received.

I drive a Toyota Yaris and a few months ago it would not turn on whatsoever. After getting it jumped I drove home and the next day went to AutoZone to see what is going on. Turns out my started and alternator were going out. I didn’t have the money to buy parts right away so I got this on discount. My car would not turn on 5+ times but this jumper saved the day each time. Finally I was able to fix both and my car is buyer than ever but having this was a life safer. I don’t have friends or family to call so knowing I was good was a peace of mind. If you’re thinking about getting this just do it! It comes with a bright flashlight with different modes and a usb charging side. Going to buy another one for our 2nd car.

in 1 year of use 2 out of 3 times didn’t start my car, battery drains fast i have a 5 year old chinese Jump starter that works better than this crap and i don’t have to charge it every month like this because if you don’t chage it this would die and you won’t be able to charge it. i have other 2 that died and they where never used, I wanted to have one on each of my cars one still works and the other 2 that i never used won’t charge. Allso i have i noco genous that can’t even revibe my dead battery, My 20 year old battery charger beats this crap.

Twice I left my ignition turned on in my car while in the driveway FOR HOURS!! Battery dead both times but this little gizmo worked both times!! I even had to use the BOOST ability both times because it was so low! Worked both times,recommend it. Keep it under my seat and check it occasionally to make sure its charged.

I got this because my vehicle and old battery suck. My old battery was constantly off gassing and corroding my terminals which would drain it completely. I had to clean the terminals 2x a year and was constantly dealing with a nearly dead battery. Initially I got the Noco trickle charger and had that connected to my battery 24/7. I was having to replace the terminals constantly from corrosion. Then after paying some guy in a tow truck to give me a jump I decided to go all out. I went and got a red top battery, the GB40, and the Noco GNC007 cable. The cable is permanently on the battery and allows me to just plug the GB40 in without using the alligator clamps to attach it. Not even two days after installing all that stuff I had a 100% dead battery because I left the interior lights on. I plugged in the GB40, pushed the ON button and started the vehicle. There was a split second hesitation and then it fired up. This was on a 4.7 liter V8. If it will start my old heap (2004 WJ) it will start anything smaller with ease. I had to use it on a 1.6 liter a couple months ago and no problem. I know there are many different types of jump packs but this is the one I went with and it works. It is now in a box in my vehicle and I’ll be buying a couple more for family.

I have NO idea what I’m doing with engines. I didn’t even know which model of these to buy. I went with GB-40. I bought this for two uses. First, my riding zero-turn mower’s battery died and I needed to jump start it or replace it. The battery is approximately $100. Second, I recently needed a jump start to my SUV. Fortunately, two very kind and awesome samaritans helped me get my vehicle up and running. We all know what a new car battery costs. I open up the package. I plug in the device to my USB-C computer’s hub. It already had a bit of a charge. I completed the charging, took like 2 hours. You know when it’s completely charged because the last green light is solid. Easy to tell when you need to charge it up. The USB-C cord could be a bit longer. I connect the cables to my mower’s battery. Press the Power button on the jumpstarter device. I go to turn on the mower and Wham! … the mower starts right up in about 2 seconds. I was like, NO WAY! That was sooo easy. The single use of this device has already paid for itself. I paid $99. Could probably be cheaper. Another suggestion would be to make the jumper cables about one (1) foot longer. The seat to my mower folds down, I can’t start the mower unless the seat is down. I.e., I needed to angle the cables awkwardly to connect them to the battery. Additional cable length would have made it easier to connect the battery to the jumper. Overall, 9.5 out of 10. One use of this device and it pays for itself. Yes, even if you have an emergency roadside, you are still waiting 1-2 hours, rather than simply lifting your hood, connecting the cables, pressing a single button, and turning the key to your vehicle. I can probably do all this is less than two (2) minutes. Two minutes vs. 2-hours waiting? You can understand the value of this. I’ll keep this in my vehicle. It’s small and not that heavy. It comes with a bag, but I’m probably never going to use it. I’d give back the bag to have a longer set of cables. Don’t think about it, just buy it.

Still unproven in the long haul
The booster is easy to use, and it started my car once when the battery ran down. Next time, not so well. I can’t say if the product was unable to overcome a zero-voltage battery, or the battery condition was so bad it would not allow any booster to work. I had to recharge the battery to start the car, and within a week the battery was replaced.

The booster came in an unsealed box and had been either returned or refurbished. It was also missing the carry case. All the other items were there and the booster seemed to charge properly. It may be a fine product but sending me an opened product is a kick in the shorts. I ordered a couple others for family members. Hopefully they have better luck with this company.

Great little jump starter
I woke up to a dead battery. I ordered this and Amazon delivered it before 2pm. It was mostly charged when I got it, but I charged it up to max before trying it out. The NOCO website has very helpful videos on how to use it and what the buttons do. This became very important. When I initially connected it to my car, the lights wouldn’t “Chase” as the video said they should. The car was still dead. Turns out it will only register/work automatically if the battery has at least 2 volts. If less than 2 volts, the lights don’t chase and you have to use the manual override button. I did that (press & hold for 3 sec), the lights started chasing and the car started right up. Huzzah! I’ll never leave home again without this thing. Highly recommended.

I had already bought one of these so thought I would get a second one. Come to find out that they are no longer shipping the proper cable – they are shipping a usb c / usb c cable and expect you to find some way to charge it – unless you have an adapter or an extra cube that is not is not Apple style, it may work – or you have to spend another $10 to get the adapter. What Cheapskates – would return but then I have to take my chances with another vendor and another problem. No more NOCOs for me.

I should have listened to the negative reviews on here. Fully charged, fresh from the charger. attempted to jump the battery – nothing except the safety alert message. Double checked the setup and everything was correct. Tried the manual override, nothing. Gave up, called the tow truck and my battery jumped immediately. Thanks for nothing except extra hassle!
