After issues with the initial setup I was going to return it. Gave it another try glad I did. Work really well the setup take a little bite of time to get going but once it does your good. I do have an occasional and sort time issue when it losses Bluetooth connection with phone will reconnect quickly and your back a running. I would recommend that if you are going to get watch a few videos online to help with setup and be patient.

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra with a GMC 2016 Sierra Stereo components installed, my Android Auto was working great with my Samsung S10e phone, with no wireless, I then upgraded to a Samsung S23 FE, and using the Android Auto with the only way to connect with the cable, I would get frequent disconnects, which made using Android Auto worthless, I had another cheap wireless connector, and I could not get that one to work, I then saw a drop in price on the Motorola MA1 wireless adapter, I figured I would give it a try, because I had read some good reviews on it, and it was ranked high on most best adapters, I was not disappointed, since I already had my phone set up to use connected with a usb cable, I just plugged the Motorola MA1 adapter and connected my phone to it and it worked great! Will this fix your connection issues? I can’t say if it will, but it fixed mine, I am ver happy with my purchase.

This is a great little device and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It was easy to install, my phone connected automatically each time I got in the car. The sound quality is great and my phone stayed connected, unlike when I used a cable connection for android auto. This gets 3 stars simply because I’ve had this for a year and it no longer works. My brother also bought the same adapter and his also stopped working after a year of use. If you want to buy a new adapter every year, this is the one for you! I would expect more use out of a device like this, so it was a little disappointing that it stopped working only 1 year into use.

Enabled wireless Android Auto on our 2022 Hyundai Tucson!
This product did exactly what we wanted. It converted our Hyundai Tucson plug-in Hybrid from wired (sometimes intermittent) Android Auto to solid and simple wireless Android Auto and media. It was easy to set up; plug in your phone and get Android Auto up and running on the car, then pull it out and plug in the Motorola. Pair to the Motorola on Bluetooth and you are done. Your phone needs Android 11 or higher; our 2 year old phones had Android 14. It connects automatically to my wife’s phone. It is small and tucks away in the front cubby – all good 👍.

For six months it worked flawlessly and now I just get a little red light of death. It was super convenient when it did work. Works Great on a 2016 Hyundai
Works as expected. It connects to my wife’s phone first if we’re both in the car. If she turns off her Bluetooth, mine connects, but only if I restart the engine. Other than that minor issue it works reliably all the time. We’ve used it on long trips and around town. It never fails to connect. We purchased because my wife’s phones, old and new, would not reliably connect using the cable, I never had a problem. Both phones are Pixel 7’s. I recommend this device because it removes the cable hassles. It’s like automatic.

Great in my GR86, but randomly disconnects
I’m on my second one because the first one froze at one point and then never came back. This one has the same problem on concrete overpasses where it cuts in and out and usually drops the connection which is frustrating. I’d love to know what causes this! Other than that, it works well. Pretty quick startup and transparent operation. It also tucks away nicely. I don’t think they’re making any updates to the device, so we’re basically left with the bugs forever.

Consistently Connects and Simple
I previously purchased the first adapter to come to market to allow a wireless connection for Android Auto. This was the AAWireless product and it served me well. I have owned it for a few years now. It generally receives the most favorable reviews of all the available adaptors, and this is due in part to its overall quality and the ability to do detailed configuration via the companion app. This is important in that some cars are more finicky with Android Auto than others and for those vehicles the app allows for adjustments to be made. However, for me, my phone often would not connect and I would have to toggle Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on a off to get it to connect. This can be common when you leave your residence and the phone has to switch from you home Wi-Fi to the car Wi-Fi. However, for me, this happened a lot when I was away from home and not switching from one Wi-Fi signal to another. After a few years, I got tired of trying to make configuration adjustments in the app and got tired of toggling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on a off to get it to connect. On a whim, I decided to try the Motorola adapter. I noted that it is sold as the only USB adapter accessory using “Google-licensed bridge technology” to enable a wireless Android Auto connection. I thought maybe it would be more stable and connect consistently. I also noted that it does not have a companion app and as such, if it did not work, I would be back to my AAWireless product. Turns buying the Motorola was a good decision. It connects every time without fail. No more toggling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on a off. I connects quickly. If there is a lag, it is when my phone needs to drop the connection to the home Wi-Fi and then connect to this adapter. That happens within about 30 seconds or less and most of the time, it is less. When I am away from home, it connects shortly after starting my vehicle within about 15 seconds. I think which manufacturer makes the best adapter is debatable. The AAWireless product worked well and I am not making this review to suggest it is not an excellent product. However, for me, this one is just simpler (no configuration needed for my vehicle) and it consistently connects and does so quickly. Simple, no drama, and it just works! That makes it the right choice for me and my 2018 Ford F150.

Best decision for Short Drives
The product did exactly what it says it’ll do and the connection speed is quick. Quality of life factor is great! Jump in the car and go with my music and map always available. Worth Noting! If I plan to plug my phone in and use the wireless with the wired, it trips up my phone big time and struggles to connect for a few minutes or just not at all. I did find if I let the wireless fully connect and then plug my phone in it works fine. My phone is getting a little older and the battery doesn’t quite last as long. I noticed wireless Android Auto does put a small drain on the battery. Since most of my car rides are 15-30 minutes it’s not a big deal, but if I was driving out of town or heavy traffic I would for sure plug my phone in over using the wireless feature.

Doesn’t last, 2 devices only lasted a year
I originally bought 2 a year ago and they worked great one for each of about cars. Then exactly 1 month after warranty expired my wife’s stopped connecting. So I thought it was a fluke and got her another one. Then a week later my adapter did the same thing. I will not purchase this again. 2 in a row died almost exactly the same time. Make with cheap electronics, definitely doesn’t live up to the Motorola quality I’m used to.

Spotty reception and slow responses
I bought this and connected two different phones. Setup was not difficult and fits well in my car. But not only does it randomly kill the connection completely (which got me into trouble when using it for directions) but also, when I change the track it can take upto 4-5 seconds which makes navigating through songs very confusing! Tldr – Not happy with the reliability – it’s not a stabile connection and the delay is very annoying!

I have a 2016 Chevy Malibu with the LCD screen and did not think this would work due to how old the vehicle is. Android auto is factory installed so if you have a similar vehicle do not hesitate in buying this. Some sites say it won’t work unless vehicle is like a 2021 and above. I’ve bought a couple of these and I’ve had no issues with them. But as the heat comes in, I noticed that it connects then disconnects even after being left unplugged all day. Wish there was some type of warning stating that this would happen or If it would be covered.

Realized yesterday when it quit working what a pain it was to remove phone from pocket and plug into phone. Got on Amazon to order new one, was pleasantly surprised the price was much lower than what I paid the first time (89 first time) I really loved this product and will be very happy if this one lasts as long. Strongly recommend. Update: Received new M1A after very long 3 day wait. Lol New one connected quickly and easily. Worked alright for 8 months
Android auto would start about 80% of the time with out issue (sometimes I just needed to restart the Bluetooth on my phone) until a few months ago. Either my car software needs updating, something changed with a phone update, or the Florida heat melted the product. Now it works maybe 20% of the time, and will sometimes cut out with a “Bluetooth error”. I’ve ended up unplugging it since it’s frustrating.

Great until it’s not
I bought two of these for two different cars. One stopped working after a year. It got a red light (a color which isn’t in the manual) and now it doesn’t connect to the car or gets detected by the phone. The other one still works fine. Once in a while, if you’re listening to music. The music stops for 2 seconds or less and then it resumes. Other than that. It’s great. I’ll like to buy another one but I don’t like the idea of replacing it every year.

All good until it just stopped working, seems like it disconnected and now it can’t connect back, can’t find it, there is no support from the seller and not much information to go around in the web. I would not buy it again; it wasn’t cheap, and I would take a replacement, it looks like there are many more cheaper options.
