Powerful 3-Stage Cleaning System of Roomba j6+ with 10x suction power

Product Breakdown: The Promises and Pitfalls

The Roomba J6+ has been well-received by many customers for its convenience and performance. Several users have expressed satisfaction with the device’s ease of setup and operation. As one user put it, “Easy to set up and works great!” and another confirmed that the self-emptying feature is a significant plus, saying, “I didn’t realize how well the self-emptying feature would work!” The quiet operation, especially compared to older models, is another point of praise. A user mentioned, “Love how much more quiet it is than the 980.” This makes it easier to run the Roomba without disturbing daily activities, like watching TV. Users are impressed with the technological advancements, noting that the Roomba remembered the layout of their home even after an upgrade, which showcases the smart mapping capabilities of the device. The ability to handle pet fur has been a game-changer for some, with one user exclaiming, “This purchase was a life changer for my family,” as it kept up with their lab’s daily shedding. Another user described it as “Fantastic,” highlighting the device’s ability to navigate and clean different rooms according to a set schedule. Moreover, the vacuum’s capability to avoid obstacles and notify the user of temporary obstructions has been appreciated. Users enjoy receiving notifications and pictures of their pets blocking the path, as it adds a level of interaction and ensures that the Roomba can navigate effectively around the house.
Despite the positive feedback, some users have reported drawbacks with the Roomba J6+. One of the most common complaints is about the noise level, as one user described, “feels like the suction is not strong enough and this thing is loud. very very loud.” Additionally, issues with customer service have been highlighted by users, including difficulty connecting to Wi-Fi and inadequate assistance from support, with one customer saying, “They never got back to me despite my reaching out repeatedly.” The device’s performance consistency has also been questioned by some. One user found the vacuum to be “Inconsistent” in its cleaning and emptying patterns. The rollers seem to be sensitive to pet hair, which could pose a problem for households with pets, as it may require frequent cleaning or roller replacement. For some, the Roomba J6+ doesn’t clean corners effectively or pick up larger particles like cereal, which was noted as a limitation by a user. Navigation issues have been another point of contention. A few users have experienced problems with the Roomba’s mapping capabilities, where it either missed rooms or struggled to navigate out of an empty room, leading to a comment that it “Can’t even navigate its way out of an empty room.” Additionally, the product seems to struggle with long pet hair, as one user found that it would leave “little rolls of dog hair” behind, indicating that it may not be suitable for all types of pet fur.
In conclusion, while the Roomba J6+ appears to be a technological marvel for many, with smart mapping, quiet operation, and self-emptying features that users love, there are notable concerns about its noise level, customer service, consistency in performance, and navigation. These issues might need to be weighed against the convenience and ease of use that the Roomba J6+ otherwise offers.

People find the following negative one quite helpful. Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2023 by Linda M. Mcintosh, titled “Inconsistent”
The first day the vacuum was loud and had lots of suction. The next day it was noticeably quieter. I watched several videos on how to clean and troubleshoot. iRobot suggested I call Amazon to return or replace it. She said it would save me the trouble of sending it back for warranty work. ??? It does work but I can go behind it and swipe the floor and there is still a little dirt. It spends a lot of time under the bed and couches and not a lot in the open areas. It is inconsistent in emptying the bid. Yesterday it sent pictures of objects it wanted to know it it was a temporary obstacle or not. I’ve had it 10 days and that is the first time it’s done that. Funny to see pictures of your animals blocking its path.

    NOT worth the money.

I havent’ had this item for a year yet and I am not sure if I was sold a used unit but it doesn’t work more times than it works. This isn’t my first review or contact with he seller which just continues to ignore my messages. I purchased it during a Prime big deal days it would suppose to be 1/2 price and I ended up paying full price. The machines loses connection daily so I can never use the app. DO NOT buy from this seller or this product.

Lola was easy to connect to the wi-fi, she is very functional, cleans and pick up speed is great. It was a great value for the money and is very sensitive to items like my crazy puppy 🐶 that will try chasing and jumping in front of it! Poor Lola!👍😂

Not very smart– requires assistance every time

I have owned 3 other Roombas over the years and this is my least favorite, yet it’s sold as the smartest. It frequently gets caught on things, like cat toys that could easily be avoided, or if I forget to pick up a shirt on the ground. It has been the least efficient one I have owned because it is constantly needing assistance even when there is nothing on the floor for it to get caught on– sometimes it doesn’t empty properly, other times it can redock properly. It really was a disappointment this last year or so, and I find myself missing the older versions. I might just go back to them!

Worked great but self emptying stopped working after 8 months

I love Roomba vaccins and have bought 4 of them. They all have pros and cons but the latest I bought has the self emptying feature which stopped emptying after only 8 months of use. Other issue was it sounded like a jet engine at emptying. I’ve done all troubleshooting suggested, and nothing has worked. I’m waiting for support to call me back and if able to, will update this review. I feel like I threw away $460. Don’t bother with the self emptying addition. Not worth the trouble.

    iRobot broke after 3 months

The robot seemed to work OK for the first couple of months. It was really convenient, and kept the hardwood floors and carpet reasonably clean. After that it started to stop jobs half way through. At first it would stop and go back to dock, but eventually just died in the middle of the floor. Customer service was difficult, so now its a pile of junk. Would not recommend.

QUIT AFTER 10 HOURS OF USAGE.

I bought this on on Amazon Prime day in the fall of 2023. I didn’t set it up until after all the Christmas decor was put away. It has 10 hours of usage and quit. I replace the filter and it still doesn’t work. I am now supposed to buy another part. I am sad that I didn’t use the money spent on this vacuum to get a better vacuum cleaner that I can vacuum with myself. I read reviews when purchasing items. This is my very first review. Please save your money. Don’t buy this vacuum cleaner,.

    Not overwhelmed

I have never been able to program this i-Robot to successfully clean. It works its little motor out, but goes here and there many times, over and over again. In the meantime it continues to go to the base to “empty” what has to be a rather clean dirt container. I’ve tried to re-program – my mapping looks good, but the little devil just doesn’t understand. I’m not happy with my purchase and although the I-Robot would be an excellent solution for me, I do better with a vacuum cleaner.

    Not impressed

It did NOT work for dog hair. We have 2 Aussies and the hair would just get stuck in between the rollers. It also took 3 orders before I got one that worked! The first one had no charging/empty tower. The second one the spring had come off a wheel. It just did not pick up as good as my old Wyze.

    Consumables galore

I like how it tracks rooms and cleans a lot better than my previous Roomba. I can only give it three stars because it seems like every couple of weeks, some consumable needs to be ordered to keep this thing running properly, and my previous but much dumber one ran for three years with little to no replacement parts.

    Expected Better😩

Had high expectations but know realize maybr they were too high. I can get the job done way faster. The robot stops multiple times in a normal cleaning route. Constantly having to reset…. You must be close by in order to actually have it do its job. fabulous concept…. Maybe a few few years down the road it will be able to overcome all the glitches.

    Positives and Negatives

Positives: Greatly enjoy the self cleaning and active monitoring of what parts need to be serviced. Love that it automatically recharges and gets back under way. Negatives: clumsy navigation that attempts to run over all sorts of objects and items that our previous roombas would have bumped into once and avoided; unimpressed with the touted “identify and avoid” feature. I can only guess that this newer roomba must be using cheaper tech because its NOT better at avoiding than predecessor models we’ve owned. The app is clunky and in some respects not easy or intuitive; needs to be updated. Thank goodness we bought it for “half price” as it would not feel like a good value, otherwise.

    Horrible suction

I have three dogs so I have low expectations when it comes to robot vacuums but this one literally picks up nothing…the suction is terrible, it is INSANELY loud, the only thing I like about this model is the camera that helps it avoid messes but I liked my Shark robot vac 10x more. Can’t believe I dropped that much money on this thing. The earlier simpler models work so much better. This thing hardly cleans, constantly needs to return to its home base even though it’s fully-powered, and is always goin offline so I can’t even make it run. Terrible product, would never purchase again.

    Robot Failed Repeatedly

I bought this robot less than a year ago. Since then the Battery on the unit has failed twice, the Robot itself has failed once. Working with the iRobot support, they were a bit difficult to work with and slow to respond. They did send me two new batteries and eventually swapped out the entire robot. However, the new Robot also had issues. I am currently working to get a second replacment. They make you jump thru alot of troubleshooting steps first including taking the robot apart to take pictures and videos to prove it has failed. Overall when it works, it works well, but the amount of issues/time/emails I have had to go thru to keep the device functioning would make me urge you to look at a competitor.

Takes more time to fix issues than a vacuum

Ok, so I admit, I loved both of mine the first 3-4 weeks but then everything is clogged…empty the bin…clean the sensors…change the bag or replace the filter…that’s all it says all the time. I get 1/2 to 1 cleaning after spending 20 minutes cleaning the piece of crap. It would take me just as much time and do a better and faster job on my old vacuum. Oh btw – once all this starts, your Roomba just sits on the dock complaining and waits for you to fix it. Now my Roomba covers 2×3 area where they walk off the docks and turnaround to go back on to sleep for 24 more hours. When they do run after taking it apart and cleaning my VACUUM they won’t get a full cycle in before they shutdown. Waste of time, money and energy.

I had a lower model roomba for 2 years and had less issues with it in 2 years than this one in 7 months. It is always having connection issues, doesn’t dock properly, and currently it’s not following the map and going to the room i selected it to clean. When it automatically cleans out the full dirty bin from the vacuum its extremely loud and makes my entire house smell Horrible. I wish i never got this new j6.
