    Works as expected

This OBD2 reader was a nice upgrade from my previous unit. The user interface is nice, and I like the realtime data logging. Only reason I took a star off was this OBD2 reader is not compatible with JScan which Id like to use with my Jeep, so Ill probably be buying a new OBD2 reader again soon. Other than that its been great.

This has been great with my 2006 Frontier and 2015 Honda Pilot

I bought this to replace a BAFX model, and I’m very impressed. The range of diagnostics is far greater than the BAFX. I love how the app stays current. Definitely worth every penny.

A good product for most anyone to have

It is easy to use with the software which you can download to your phone. It is a good purchase for a DIYer, probably even a pro, or just the average person. It suitable for the average person so you can see what the codes are when the check engine light comes on and see the suggested fixes. Also, one could use the codes for further research on the web to get an idea of what the amount of work and cost may be before taking it to a dealer or mechanic to be informed so that you will not get ripped off.

    Works great and compact

Works great and compact, just what I wanted/need. Love this thing and is very accurate. Compared it to my dads super expensive scan tool, and same codes pop up on both. He was skeptical it would work bc it was a kit less expensive than his, his is over $1,000, but nope, same codes show up on both. Yea I know his can do a lot more than mine can, but I’m fine with that, just need the codes and can figure it out from there.

    Constantly disconnects/reconnects

Bought to use on our 2018 VW atlas and 2013 Passat TDI. The Bluetooth connection is extremely poor and rarely stays connected long enough to get a complete scan done. Also, says it has enhanced data for VW but there are very few things it will read beyond basic diagnostic codes. Should have just bought a VAGCOM license or an actual code reader from Harbor Freight.

    AWESOME FOR USED CAR SALES‼️

If you ever bought a used car thinking it was a smooth runner then come to find out there’s a problem with a sensor, the transmission, engine or any technical issues. Well this little device is the answer to that problem. Went to a used car lot, and asked if I could scan the car for any codes. And they were completely cool with it! with the exception I don’t reset anything..which I promised🤞😂found pretty much no serious issues with the car other than a couple sensors and the washer fluid needing to be refilled. And so I drove off with my new C300 as I threw this awesome device in the glove and yes I will most definitely be using this for any future purchases or maintenance. Nevertheless HIGHLY RECOMMENDED🔥

    Doesn’t scan most faults

The BlueDriver doesn’t scan most faults in my 2013 Chevy Impala. It doesn’t scan the tire management system or the Air Conditioning system, which are both problematic for this make and model (and several similar cars like the Malibu and Buicks). You might be better off with a $50-75 traditional OBD2 option which does these things. I had to buy another one of those and this $100 BlueDriver was a waste.

    Easy setup, instant results

Purchased this for a warning light on 2018 Toyota Camry, after dealer wanted 170.00 to scan codes. Simple and quick installation of app(which is quite comprehensive), then plug and play. Almost instant results indicating failing engine coolant pump. No automotive knowledge required unless performing repairs yourself. This is a great diagnostic tool.

    Unreliable at best

I have had this since 2023….almost a year. NEVER has it had a reliable connection. It is time consuming to set up and usually doesn’t work the 1st try. I am not a professional mechanic but I have a good mechanical background including using many different brands of obd2 scanners. I am 56 and have repaired my own vehicles all my life. I bought it for the convenience of having it always hooked up and ready to go. It is not convenient and rarely if ever working without having to go back through the setup procedure. I would not recommend this to anyone for any price. It is simply to much trouble. If someone gave it to me knowing what I know now I would throw it in the trash.

Although a novice to the world of mechanics. This is a must have for DIY’s and mechanic enthusiasts. It saves you time and help you pinpoint your problems fast. Offers suggestions and will even redirect you to the automotive section at Amazon. It reads codes, clears the codes after repairs have been made. It will also include past repair information and allow you to report your current repair status. Once again, this is a must have for those interested in DIY and automotive enthusiasts!

    Quick scans, accurate too

It’s not a factory capable scanner, but it’s a great option to take with you on a road trip when that crazy “Check engine” lights pops on in the middle of nowhere! A quick scan and a internet search usually will let you know if it’s safe to continue.

This is the one you want

I’ve used this scanner on multiple vehicles to date and I only have great things to say about it. the convenience of it being Bluetooth is a plus. I’ve used it on fords, gmcs, chevys, and multiple diesels including super dutys and duramaxes. I love the convenience of it showing a code but also having links to parts to buy that may be bad. also the fact that it stores all reports that you pull is one of the best parts especially if you need to look back at the report for some reason. in this case you have the option to just open the app and look at the past reports and see every code that was pulled at that time without having to be plugged back into the vehicle to pull the codes again.

    Won’t connect or update

The first time I used this it took me 30 mins to get it to connect to my IPhone and over an hour for it to run an update before I could use it. Today, I tried to use it again and 3 hours later the update still won’t update so it won’t let you bypass the update and actually use it. It is useless!! I have tried all of the troubleshooting things BlueDriver suggests, powered off phone, closed app, disconnect from blue tooth. Now after 3 hours and all that it won’t even connect to my IPhone Bluetooth at all. I have tried tablets and phones and none of them work. Well, they work the OBD won’t update, it just says 0% and turns and turns but never updates. I would skip this OBD scanner and buy a plug in one as this one is useless.

    Tiny but powerful

When ever my check engine light is on on my 2010 Jeep, I will pop the bluedriver in. Saves tons of hassle of going to dealership or a wired bulky ODB reader. The app is very useful for telling you the error code. It also tells you how often this error occur for your cars model/make. Google the code to see if it is a simply DIY or need to go to a mechanic. Even if you are going to a mechanic, you actually know what is going on so you won’t get scamed.

    Great OBDII Scanner w/Flaws!

I had to knock off one star, because if you own a RAM truck like I do, Stellantis locks everything down. And I mean everything. I was hoping that this unit could’ve done basic functions like ABS brake bleeding and some minor tests without me breaking out my $3,000 Autel. However, it is good for initial troubleshooting or loaning out to someone for grabbing diagnostics, freeze frames, or real time data without giving them my Autel Holy Grail of a scan tool. Other wise, only other odd problem is that it will occasionally drop connection. I found that it doesn’t matter what vehicle it’s hooked to. Just sometimes it loses connection. Good tool to have in your toolbox if you are a light duty mechanic.

Great unit and heard about this from YouTube

This product was mentioned in a YouTube video did two channels that I follow. What’s great about this is that there is no monthly subscription needed and updates are free! Also once scanned the unit knows the year, make and manufacture of your car. Any codes that comes up it’ll even give you the suggestion of what part failed and where to buy the new part!

Very good quality basic scan tool

If you’re looking for a low-cost, high quality scan tool that can read all codes from every module in your car. And need a scan tool to view live data with. Then this is a very good scan tool for those reasons. If you need a scan tool with bidirectional capabilities or special functions so you can relearn different components or modules, then this scan tool is not the one for that. It’s limits are codes reading and live data. But it was an improvement from a $200 scan tool I bought about 10 years before this one that only read powertrain codes. So definitely a nice improvement over with the Blue Driver. This scan tool is really nice if you want to look at data while you drive. I often keep this in my car and simply hold my phone up on a mount so I can view different pids while I drive. For instance if I’m taking a trip and i want to keep an eye on certain pids, it’s great for that. Plus it’s designed in Canada and they have great support. And they have a warranty. So if you’re looking for a scan tool that does the basics and data. Then this is a great, affordable, reliable choice. Plus the updates are free, if I’m not mistaken.

Must have for the at home mechanic

Saw this in a ChrisFix video years ago. After about 4 years of use it has done everything I have asked it to. The app is frequently updated enough and this does way more than your standard Walmart OBDII reader. Well worth the investment if you’re working on your own vehicles or helping out with others. Not only has it been right 99% of the time but it also provides parts and sometimes how to videos for what’s wrong. Obviously it’s no Autel but at a quarter of the price when it’s on sale it’s pretty close. Highly suggest for anyone that is wanting to start working on cars or someone that doesn’t want to get ripped off from the stealership. There has been a time or two that I have scanned the codes for someone and them be told it was way more than what was actually wrong.

This reader worked GREAT for me!

I originally picked this reader since it supported ABS diagnostics and got great reviews. I followed the instructions – I downloaded the app on my iPhone, turned the vehicle’s ignition to ON, and plugged in the reader. The app on my iPhone found the reader and within 5 seconds, it was connected and I was ready to go. My check engine light was on, so for my first reading I chose the Check Engine Light function to get the current and pending codes – the most simple diagnosing steps. Within another few seconds, the current, temporary and pending engine codes showed up on the app! Along with the codes it included a textual description of what each issue was (I had two issues). This reader worked GREAT for me!
