If you’re looking to invest in a quality wet-dry vacuum, consider the Bissell CrossWave alongside similar contenders. For a detailed comparison between the Bissell CrossWave and alternatives like the Tineco Floor One, check out this comparison for insights into performance and features.

Cleans very well (tufted and polyester) , light and easy to handle, enough supplies to do the job right out of the box, small footprint for storage. Note the solution container is smaller, which contributes to the light weight. Beats renting the heavy machines used by folks with major fecal or urine contamination in their carpets and returned to the rental station for the next customer…
The only thing I don’t like about this product is that it requires pre-sweeping if you have a mild mess on the floor. In my case, I have one cat and a 5-year-old daughter who leave crumbs here and there on the hardwood floor. The cat sometimes flings litter out of the box and sheds more during summer. If I don’t pre-sweep, all of this gets sucked in and cleaned off the floor. However, when it’s time to do a deep clean, there’s a flood of water, chemicals, and dirt because everything you’ve sucked in clogs the tubing where the clean water circulates, affecting the flow the machine needs to auto-clean. This will also happen if you have a “hairy” area rug. DO NOT vacuum/clean it without first ensuring the hair is gone, or it will be a pain to clean the parts afterward. It’s a good product if you do the Pre-Cleaning. 😊

Just as good as Bisell brand
Worked as good as the ones that came with the vacuum

Works Great
Thank you! We bought this as a replacement for our old one and it works so much better.
melissa Skowronski –
Great for FRESH spills
Messy to empty, I still get my hands dirty. Doesn’t clean as well as my old Hoover did with the brushes. Cleans floor faster than mopping, and great for spills(fresh).

Great purchase my wife loves it
The tank size is good it works great, love the power and suction power. The noise level is less than a normal vacuum and the weight is light.

Do not recommend
Does not vacuum really well. Debris is left on the floor. No good suction. Using the shampoo mode leaves too much water on the floor doesn’t suck up the water from the shampooing on hardwood and same goes for rugs. Too expensive for it to not do it’s job. Do not recommend. Highly disappointed since Bissell has always been my favorite brand.

Just Don’t
I felt compelled to let everyone know to think long and hard before purchasing this product. It requires a ton of maintenance: filters, cleaning between uses, the chemical to clean your floors, the chemical to clean the cleaner. I’ve had mine almost a year. Tossed it in the garbage tonight. Right out of the box, it doesn’t do much but pick up very, very small debris – sand or other fine dirt. Works terribly for anything else. The “mopping” feature works worse. More or less, it turns the fine dirt on your floors to muddy water and just smears it around – so many passes. I have hardwood floors throughout my entire house. It’s even worse on anything carpet. I really wanted this to work the way it’s advertised, but it’s just so, so bad. I never thought I would be happy to go back to a regular vacuum and hand mop. Hopefully you have better luck with it than I did. I kept that thing immaculately maintained – such a chore. It really felt great to throw it in the dumpster!

Love this Wet Dry Vacuum
I first watched a video online how to use it and also how to clean it. You need to remove the dirty water and clean it out each time. It is extremely easy to use and also very easy to remove parts to clean. I feel like my floor will be much cleaner since you can vacuum and mop at the same time. I do not care for carpets, so this vacuum makes sense for my use. Although it does vacuum and clean area rugs. Nice long cord and not super loud. I just LOVE IT!!

Don’t waste your money
I bought this vacuum 6 months ago. It now will not pick up anything and just spreads around dust.

NOT FOR DOG HAIRS!
Very disappointed with this vacuum I ended up returning it. It’s not meant for dogs that shed a lot like mine. The hairs just get stuck under it and on the sides or it doesn’t pick it up at all. The moping part of this vaccum is absolutely horrible, leaves spots all over the floors and the floors honestly just get more dirty. This might be good for people that don’t have any pets but people that have pets do not buy this please!!!

Not a good fit for our needs
This has ultimately become more work than it’s worth to use. Considering maintenance that has to be performed after every use, it’s just not working for our household. Multiple passes for a subpar mopping, plus the inability to really clean well along edges, unless approached perpendicularly, is just inconvenient. Ultimately the after-use maintenance alone negates the convenience this device was supposed to provide. Very minor complaint in the end but it’s enough that I’d rather just pull out the broom and mop and have it done properly, all in the same amount of time … if not less, and with a lot less noise.

Not a fan
Seriously I thought this was going to be a slam dunk purchase. At the end of the day I’m more content sweeping my floors and using my shark steam mop. This item is ok for spot cleaning on a carpet but overall; don’t waste your money.
Cabinfever –
Doesn’t clean as well as I’d like
A little cumbersome. I was hoping it would save me time but it creates more cleaning time due to the fact that I have to clean all the parts on this unit after every use. 🤦♀️

Loss of suction is the fatal flaw…
I have used this machine maybe 10-15 times. The suction has diminished significantly to the point where there is little to no water in the dump tank. Super frustrating considering the cost of the product. I’ve cleaned all the brushes and examined for blockage. It seems to have just stopped suctioning on its own. The brush spins just fine as well. I’ve gotten new brush rollers to see if that helped… It did not. I only use this on hardwood floors. No carpets. I went back to my bona spray mop for 20 bucks. 😩😞

Great vacuum, terrible mop.
Vacuum works perfect for my apartment, but I didn’t pay for just a vacuum. I paid for a mop. Mopping portion does nothing but spread the cleaning product around without actually cleaning. Photo attached is after going over the same area twice, both in hard floor mode and carpet mode (manual says to use carpet mode if you have “excessively dirty or muddy” floors. No big messes were being cleaned). A wet paper towel picked up more dirt than it did.

Fantastic product
I love this product! I cleaned my whole main level yesterday 800 sq ft ish. I moved all the furniture and did the big area rug in our livingroom several passes. I also dumped milk and rice crispies on the floor as a test and it sucked it up no problem. Look at all this sludge it picked up. DISGUSTING, but also I am very impressed with this product. I love that it plugs in, so you don’t have to worry about a battery giving out in the middle of your job. Also, this was one large size tank of water.

Don’t buy
Was not impressed did not work like it should for the cost! Left strikes all over my floor did not clean well!

BELIEVE the negative reviews or regret the purchase…
This purchase was a huge waste of money. It does not clean hard surface floors well at all. I can make multiple passes over my wood floor, and strips of the areas I made the passes over remain utterly dry and untouched by the rolling mops. I am beyond disappointed in this product and the company who put it on the market. I wish I would have believed the one and two star reviews and saved my money.

Vacuum cleaner is very bad
It was the worst vacuum cleaner , after 3 months that I buy it didn’t work it doesn’t vacuum nothing, I call so many time the company , they everytime told that this week the technician will come and chek for the problem , but they never comes😤,

Great product all around!
This is my 2nd purchase of the same wetvac (my daughter took the first one after falling in love with just one use). It’s easy to setup and navigate, but more importantly, it’s effective! My large tile floors get cleaned with ease. I think I’ll keep this 2nd one to myself.

Love it Already!
When I tell you I vacuumed 2 days ago! I can’t believe how clean my floors look I can tell the difference between the crosswave and my spin mop(which I love) my floor looks so much cleaner. My goal is to use it every 2-3 days and see how the wear and tear goes. I will update to 5 starts once I know i didn’t waste my money I’ve always live bissell so I expected to love this item too and I do! I have all linoneum “wood” flooring for reference. Only thing I don’t like but I understand why I have to is having to take it apart to clean and let parts air dry but I’ll definitely will make sure I don’t use it without doing so!

Immediate return
Dumped the bottle of cleaning solution on the floor before I had even turned it on. Terrible quality. DO NOT BUY.
kerin morgan –
difficult to use and clean
Unfortunately this is difficult to use. It easily transfers from dry to wet even when you do not want to. Once wet- it is always leaving streaks. When it comes to cleaning it makes the floor sticky and not as able to concentrate on spot removal. When it comes to cleaning the machine to use again- all pieces must be rinsed- dried- there are 7 of them. For a senior – this was just too much.

Make the job fun
Love this item. Just what I needed with two dogs

Bissel
If I could rate it lower I would. Floors were wet very loud, left streaks did not seem to have the quality that I was looking for.

Lightweight, ease of use, great performance.
The older I get, the harder scrubbing floors is. This Bissell makes cleaning my floors easy. It is lightweight, has great suction power, scrubs and and dries the floors. One of my favorite features is the pet hair (or my hair) catcher allowing me to throw the hair in the trash instead of clogging my drains.
hank –
Disappointed. Just didn’t clean my kitchen floor
I was disappointed. This just did not get my kitchen floor very clean. I returned it.
kimberley –
Look at other options
I’m very disappointed in this machine, especially since I paid so much for it. It blows stuff when you are vacuuming and doesn’t evenly go over the floor when mopping. Really disappointed

My new favorite mop
I have no carpet in my house and wanted something that would make my life easier with kids and dogs and this is it! So long are the days of vacuuming and then mopping the whole house taking up an entire day. This has been a game changer for our house. The fact that it self cleans is amazing too. It picks up dirt and dog hair and mops as well. I know it’s working by the color of the water when I am finished. The fact that is plugs in is also great as you don’t have to wait for a battery to charge to finish cleaning your house. The water tank is a decent size and I can get multiple rooms done before having to change the water. I can get my house done in half the time with this product and would highly recommend it to others.
Amanda Greene –
Not that great
I expected better from this vacuum. Hardly any liquid comes out of it, and when it does come out, it’s just in two lines. It seems like I am just pretending to mop rather than actually doing anything to clean the floor. It’s also more work than I would like to clean it up each time you use it.
Toni R. Wise –
Good product for the price
I really want a full on spin floor cleaner, but this seems to be the next best thing for a much more reasonable price. I love the self cleaning feature
Victoria Adams –
It’s easy to use.
I love it all but the roller it doesn’t seem like it clears that good you have to keep going over areas two or three times.
Garrett Biernat –
Didn’t seem to suck up any water
Just left puddles everywhere on my Luxury Vinyl Plank. It didn’t seem to work well would not recommend. I’ll just get a steamer for cheaper
Lea –
Don’t waste your money
I had a Hoover Floor Mate years back and while machines like these are not perfect, it was far better than this Bissell. I also owned a Roomba and it did a good job but very pricey. The Bissell is the worst electric mopping machine I have ever owned, there is nothing good to say about it. I have only used it 4 times but I am ready to trash it.
Irrigation Master –
Crosswave PetPro Bissell.
I do not recommend this! Hi noise level, doesn’t do a good job cleaning floors, it’s either too wet or not wet enough, hard to get the happy medium. Spreads a lot of dirt around the floor, and the container that collects the dirt and dirty water never collected a substantial amount. So where is all the dirt and water going? Ugh, so frustrated.
sid –
Stick the normal crosswave
Used a normal crosswave and loved it. Thought this would be slightly better. Not even usable. Streaky, missed spots with the cleaning solution. Doesn’t clean up the solution that it did get down. I even ran them side by side with mustard on my floor like a Billy Mays commercial. Called bissel, they said it was either my fault or Amazon’s fault. The standard crosswave is a solid unit but I hate to buy one now after the customer service was so discouraging.
Shopaholic –
Disappointing to say the least
So disappointed. Yes, I got it cheaper as it was used. But it was NOT like new. The soap that came with I wasn’t for this machine, half gone, and frozen on arrival. Doesn’t put out the water like my previous one, which lasted 2 years before it leaked. Some of the packaging has been destroyed, and I can’t get it back in the box to return. Not happy with this purchase.

Cleans Great on Floor and Area Rugs
I purchased my BISSELL Crosswave Pet Pro in October 2024. This was after my Tineco motor died (was past the 2 year warranty) wasn’t worth getting fixed. Only thing I liked about the Tineco was it was cordless. It didn’t clean very well. I always went over floor area again with a swifter wet jet. That being said I love my Bissell. Cleans great for both area rugs and hard floors. The pet pro has the strainer at the bottom of the dirty water tank, which is great for getting all the hair out easily. The machine self-cleaning is good. I clean after each use. Only drawback is it wasn’t cordless but tradeoff is the tremendous difference in cleaning. I have not experienced any leaking except when I didn’t put the cap on the clean water tank correctly. I recommend the Bissell crosswave. I hope it lasts for years.

It’s the real deal folks!
I have a Cleaning Lady that comes when she feels like it. So I got tired of being held hostage to a dirty house. I tried the swifter dry and wet, which were just OK. I also had a Bissell robot crossway vac, which was OK, but it would get snagged on my Persian rugs. My house has tile and wood floors and Persian rugs over parts of them throughout. So I needed something that could clean all those surfaces. Since I had a positive experience with the robot. I thought I’d look into Bissell. The robot just stopped working after five years. I got a good deal on this product and bought it and have now been using it for three months. I am picky and I am clean to a fault. Let me just say, Wow. This machine cleans and leaves a shine on my floors better than my maid and she’s pretty darn good. That’s why I tolerate her showing up when she wants. I can’t recommend this vacuum enough. Before I bought it, I did my due diligence and read up on competitors product and read the reviews. Although I was a bit, turned off by some of the negative reviews after owning the machine and for using it for three months I really don’t see how anyone could have a reason to be critical of this machine. For whatever it’s worth, I recommend this vacuum. I hope that if you buy it, your experience is as positive as mine. Blessings.

Amazing time saving floor cleaner!
If you have pets and hard surface floors, you must have one of these! This machine vacuums and mops at the same time. The quality of the machine as well as the quality of cleaning it does is amazing! The old style mop and bucket in my opinion is disgusting. You’re just pushing dirty water all over your floor. This is constantly spraying Cleaning Solution on the roller as it’s scrubbing your floors and sucking the dirty water up into a separate reservoir. It’s basically like a carpet cleaner but for hard floors. The slower you move the crosswave across your floors, the more thorough it cleans. It Maneuvers very well, I wouldn’t say it is quiet but the noise level is not as loud as a vacuum. I highly recommend this product to anybody with hard floors.
Nicole Lindquist –
Breaks easily
After only a few uses, the cleaning solution application no longer worked – the light comes on but no liquid is dispensed. I used a spray bottle instead, and after a few more uses, the suction stopped working as well. I would recommend to find an alternative – don’t waste your money.

Based on first use: BUY it!
I vacuum first with a SEBO D4, which we have had for 20 years (best vacuum for a lifetime: yours and your childrens’ !!). Put the Bissel together (easy), filled up the tank with water and Bissel solution. The solution covered a lot of hardwood floor. Did a great job cleaning. A nice little scrub. Take your time for the triggered wet pass and return dry pass. Floors look great and feel grime free. Dirty water was definitely dirty. Poured down the toilet. Washed everything per instructions (also easy). Letting dry on the stand. Easier than getting on the floor to hand scrub and much better than a micro mop or spin mop. BUY.

Brush roll cover is cracked
Would work well if not cracked it leaked dirty water.
Kevin L –
Works okay but very underwhelming
I expected this give a nice clean but it just does okay. It only sprays in the middle and just kind of leaves streaks of wetness down the center but the outsides of the roller stays dry. I expected the entire roller to get wet and mop the floor but it doesn’t work that way. Disappointed in the product.
Office Admin –
meh
i clean my office part time and wanted something that would make mopping easier for me. my office space isnt very big. this was an ok alternative. i wasnt impressed. i still feel like the floors look dirty and now i am returning it because i cant overlook the stains anymore. when you leave the mop idle for a moment and go back to use it, it leaves a white mark (at least on my floors) from like the bottom of the mop? idk lol but i truly wasn’t a fan. also it tends to leave a tiny dirt puddle too. didnt appreciate that at all.
barbara bennett –
complicated
Way more machine than what I needed for a quick sweep up of the kitchen floor. Right now I have to replace the roller that I cleaned. I have a bad back and have to bend over to fight slipping the roller back in. Too late to return it as I threw away box.

Roza
I use this machine all over the house. Deep cleans carpet, hardwood, tiles, linoleum. Powerful yet moves with ease. Very easy to take apart to rinse. I give this 5 stars
Deborah Buma –
Best floor care product for my tile floors
I was looking for something to replace my hand mopping system, but wasn’t sure I’d be happy with the idea of using a machine. I tried swiffer and wet jets, but they weren’t working well for me. Pads always fell off the mop bases and . were expensive. Jet mops always leaked. This electric wet/dry mop meets all my expectations and then some. It cleans floors nicely, easily moving to between tile and hardwood surfaces. Using the drying mode removes the dirty residue without leaving streaks. Floors dry quickly and clearly. I even experimented on area rugs and was pleasantly surprised with the good results. The price was reasonable and delivers wonderful outcomes. Thanks for making such a great product that works great and saves me time and effort.
