Cleans very well (tufted and polyester) , light and easy to handle, enough supplies to do the job right out of the box, small footprint for storage. Note the solution container is smaller, which contributes to the light weight. Beats renting the heavy machines used by folks with major fecal or urine contamination in their carpets and returned to the rental station for the next customer…
The only thing I don’t like about this product is that it requires pre-sweeping if you have a mild mess on the floor. In my case, I have one cat and a 5-year-old daughter who leave crumbs here and there on the hardwood floor. The cat sometimes flings litter out of the box and sheds more during summer. If I don’t pre-sweep, all of this gets sucked in and cleaned off the floor. However, when it’s time to do a deep clean, there’s a flood of water, chemicals, and dirt because everything you’ve sucked in clogs the tubing where the clean water circulates, affecting the flow the machine needs to auto-clean. This will also happen if you have a “hairy” area rug. DO NOT vacuum/clean it without first ensuring the hair is gone, or it will be a pain to clean the parts afterward. It’s a good product if you do the Pre-Cleaning. 😊

Wish I would have purchased one sooner
Cuts my cleaning time in half! Works as described perfectly! Floors look stunning each time. Easy to clean the machine after use too. I do recommend cleaning the machine after use in order to keep it working effectively longer! Will be purchasing one for a mother’s birthday!

I hate this machine from the bottom of my of my soul
It does not clean floor, the brush is completely useless. It does not pick up dirty water. If you go over same surface three or more times, you will get dirty water. Wanted to repurchase Hoover floor mate, wasn’t available. Do not waster money. Garbage.

Horrible Design
Off the box and brush was not working. Handle and body came in two separate parts required assembly. Once handle it’s attached you can’t disassemble back as part of poor design. Was looking to return the product back to Amazon and sadly I could not fit the product back and Amazon didn’t want to take the product back without box.

Makes sweeping and moping a breeze!
Well worth the money! The solution is a bit expense to purchase compared to generic floor cleaners, but this vac/mop is so efficient it doesn’t matter. The only down side is that it does not clean the edges against walls, but honestly, it makes such light work of the bulk of the workload, you can overlook it’s shortcomings.
Rachel Friddle- Johnson –
Not worth it.
Not worth the money if you have a lot of inside pets. Vacuum is ok, but the floor cleaning feature leaks/spits dirty water out after cleaning an area. You really need to disassemble the device and wash the inside out to keep it clean and operational. Too much maintenance and doesn’t do a great job.

No Fabreze!
I have been desperate to find a really good, inexpensive vacuum/floor cleaner for our place in San Felipe in Mexico. We have two recues who shed quite a bit and due to our proximity to the beach, we have nonstop dust and sand. Voila! Found it. I have been a Bissell fan for years so it was a no brainer to try the Crosswave Pet Pro. So far so good. However, I was so disappointed to find the solution that was sent was a Fabreze product. Is there any market they haven’t touched? Their stuff is ubiquitous. Even on the trails when hiking in Arizona. The ingredients do nothing to deal with odors but rather mask whatever is offensive and the stuff kills brain cells. Enough already. No more Fabreze. I don’t think it would have stopped me from buying the Crosswave but if I had known…I may have skipped a bit. When discovered the solutions went right where they belong, into the trash. Let’s revisit our addiction to Fabreze please.

Disappointed, back to mopping
Owned for six months, used five or six times. Pros: – The brush picked up some ancient ground-in dirt on a textured ceramic tile floor. I am grateful for that. – The floor is dry very quickly after vacuuming. Cons: – After a few uses, I have started to get an awful squeal, and it’s not picking up like it did at first. If you’ve ever driven a car with an ignition key, then you know never to turn the key while the car is running. That’s the noise this vacuum is making now. I assume it’s a bad belt, and think I will disassemble it soon. But I’ll be honest, plain old mopping was less hassle. – After using it, you must remove five parts — bin, float, filter, roller brush, and brush cover — and let them air dry somewhere for 24 hours. For me, it means a crowded bathroom counter. – Assumed that the brush would be powerful enough to get light shoe marks off a linoleum floor. It’s not. I get the same amount of cleanliness with a mop. – The built in sprayer is insufficient on a dry floor. I “pre wet” the floor with a watering can before vacuuming. – Very, very loud when in good operating condition.

awful product
I wonder what kind of absolute imbecile designed this product because the gear for the roller brush jams with hair easily. That’s already a hassle but, OK, fine. It works for my needs so I will go through the trouble of fixing it at home. Surprise, surprise, they made that next to impossible. To clean that gear you have to take the whole vacuum apart. Despite having a toolkit with about 30 different options for screws and two lengths, I wasn’t able to get the last two screws out, so I can’t open the cover, meaning I can’t get access to the gear clogged with hair, and I can’t use my vacuum. Glad I only paid $140 for this piece of junk. I would never recommend this product to anyone. It has never worked for more than 10 minutes straight without clogging on hair (it’s two women in his house, not a crazy amount!). I have been happy because I can get two jobs done at once even with the time I waste unclogging it 4-5 times per cleaning session. It’s also so noisy you can’t hold a conversation at all. Heaven forbid if you ever forget to empty the water bin – it will smell like the devil’s nether regions the next time you vacuum no matter how well you clean the dirty water bucket and filters. I hate this product. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I wouldn’t take it if it was free. Do not recommend.

it works well
I have a long haired dog and get tired of having to vacuum then mop so I decided to purchase this. I love that fact that I was able to do my whole downstairs over 2700 sq ft without having to fill the water tank and it picked up all the hair. It is a process to clean, but pick your poison I love this thing.

SO MUCH MAINTENANCE
I don’t often leave reviews, but this one had to be left. The vacuum is great but plan on deeply cleaning it absolutely every time you use it. Obviously it’s a vacuum… It gets dirty, but this vacuum requires you to clean it every time if you do not, you will regret it. You also need to change the roller every time if not every other time. They are $16 for three of them. That along with the formula that you need for it Just makes this product not worth it. Wish I had spent a little more money and purchased something with less maintenance and upkeep required. I don’t mind cleaning the vacuum, but the extent that you need to clean this after already having cleaned is pretty ridiculous. Picture provided of my vacuum in the kitchen sink. Had to Completely clean out center chamber and the top of the head by the roller because it started making muddy streaks after my second use. Also provided a picture of the rollers. This was after my second use and needed to be replaced because they were leaving muddy streaks.

Easy to clean
I have a light colored floor that gets lits of easy to spill stains. Drops of coffee, mud from shoes, dog footprints, water drops that turn to mud drops. I was looking for something that would pick up crumbs, pet hair, and also mop up these stains. This does the trick and doesn’t take longer than vacuuming a hard surface. I haven’t used this in carpet because i have a regular vacuum. It is true that it leaves a 1.5 inch cap around edges when using the side of the vacuum but that isn’t a big deal to me because I’m mostly worried about the general area of the rooms. This is much better than the other ones that use washable pads which i lose too easily.

Meh
I bought this to replace my Tineco and I just don’t love it. It doesn’t automatically spray out water like the Tineco so you have to manually hold a trigger to get it to spray. I’m not sure if mine is defective but it only sprays water out from the right side so the left half of the cleaning head is always dry. It takes way longer to clean the same area than it took with the Tineco because you have to go over every spot twice. Once to get it wet and once to suck the water back up. I initially thought it did a way better job of picking up the water than my previous machine but then I realized that it is actually barely putting out any water, no matter how many times I squeeze the spraying trigger. I got rid of my Tineco because it stopped sucking up the water. It was my second machine from them that quit so I figured it might be the battery motors don’t have enough power. This machine has a cord and while I do appreciate that the cord is super long, I still hate switching from a cordless machine back to corded. I do like the cleaning head on this machine better on this machine. The Tineco one just feels like a carpet while this one has some actual cleaning bristles on it. Overall, I just don’t love the machine as a whole. It takes so long and at the end of the clean, it just does an okay job.

Works but could be better.
It is easy to clean after use, has good suction but I wish the roller did a better job. Seems like I have to go back and forth slowly over the area to get it all wet, overall it’s okay just takes longer than expected to do a good job overall

This product has changed my life!
Cleans ALL messes, solids and liquids, at the same time! Does not separate hair and solids from liquid making it difficult to dispose changes direction and angle with a simple movement of the wrist. Does not clean all the way to the wall, about an inch of space left to clean by hand. Leaks when turned off.

3 dogs 2 cats 5 kids
As a 2 parent working family with 5 kids 2 dogs and 2 cats we don’t get much time for floors. To be honest mopping was once in a blue moon. I’ve had the battery powered mop before but it always died before I could finish so this time I wanted plug in. Game changer. I can mop the entire house without breaking a sweat. And the sprayer now is next to the roller so it doesnt leave a bunch of water behind which is important for wood floors. I can now mop daily without dreading it.

I freakin’ love this thing!
I have quite a large area of wood laminate. My floors are matte finish, non shiny. Using any kind of soapy cleaner leaves a film. I mop with hot water and a little bit of vinegar. I would always dreaded mopping because I’m a sweaty mess when done. I was skeptical to try this for fear it would leave streaks or leave too much water on the floor. Happy to say, that’s not the case. I just cleaned our floors with Christmas messes and glitter residue – worked like a charm. This floor cleaner was worth every penny. I’ve had it since August. It’s simple and easy to clean the machine after also. Love this thing!

Does a good job
I have only used this a couple times so far, but I’m impressed with its performance. Its easy to maneuver, and I like that it has two brush speeds. It does an excellent job cleaning both hard floors and carpet, and its nice to see a clean floor without mop marks. Very easy to clean after using, its well-designed overall. I am very pleased with it.

Everything you were trying to avoid
I have had this product for about 6 months hoping it would get better. The first couple uses worked like a dream. Then just completely sucked and not how it should. I have cleaned regularly, replaced filters, and brush to sadly come to the same conclusion. Leaves debris no matter how many times you go over the same area, the mopping is really just wetting your floors and doesn’t really clean, and hair wraps around the brush making you have to clean it from the brush and the actual vacuum cleaner where you insert the brush, lastly not sure what causes it(time of use, hair, ??) but it gets a burning smell. Completely disappointed.

1 star only because I can’t rate it a zero
Purchased in July 2024 and it quit in November after only 4 months of occasional use. Vacuum will turn on then shut-off after a few seconds. Unplug it for a minute then plug it back in and it does the same thing. Being an ASE certified Master Technician and shop owner for 20+ years, I felt confident in my ability to take it apart and see what the issue was. Turns out, water was intruding into the brush motor compartment which led to corrosion and seizure of the brush motor. Being that it’s only a few months old, I assumed it would be covered under warranty. It is not. After multiple phone calls to Bissell, I was finally able to get through to someone. And they hung up on me. A few calls later, I was able to get someone on the phone and explained my issue. She informed me that since I disassembled the vacuum, the extent of which only involved removing the brush motor cover, the vacuum is no longer covered under warranty. I’ve owned quite a few Bissell products over the years, this piece of junk will be my last.

Somewhat works
Mop Vacuum Review I was excited about the concept of a mop vacuum—it promised to cut my cleaning routine in half by simultaneously vacuuming and mopping. After using it for a couple of months, I can say the idea behind this product is excellent in theory. Still, it’s not well-suited for families with kids or households dealing with bigger messes regularly. On the plus side, the mop function does a decent job on light spills or day-to-day dust. I appreciated how the device picked up small bits of debris and left the floor with a quick, light shine. It’s also convenient to only need one machine to handle two cleaning tasks. However, the vacuum struggles once kids get involved—think of dropped cereal, sticky crumbs, and the occasional small toy. It often gets clogged if any slightly larger pieces of food or objects are on the floor. This means I must clear blockages constantly, which is time-consuming and messy. The biggest drawback, though, is the smell. The vacuum chamber traps all sorts of residue, and if you don’t empty and clean it out immediately after every use, it becomes unpleasant quickly. Unfortunately, this odor also transfers to the mop/vac head, so when you use it again, your floors might smell musty rather than fresh. This mop vacuum could be a handy time-saver for a smaller household or someone who deals with mostly dust and light dirt. But for busy families or anyone who regularly has to vacuum up food bits and heavier debris, you’ll likely be frustrated by clogs and an unbearably smelly chamber. It’s a great concept but not practical enough for messier cleaning jobs. I have requested a refund, yet have not received contact from the seller.

Decent for quick clean
I had hoped this could help shorten cleaning time but really I will still need a regular deep cleaning mop/vacuum on top of using this. It is great for daily clean and pickup, with three dogs inside on large acreage we get a lot of dirt inside. It works well for managing that and having clean floors. I was not impressed with the mopping it is very minimal and often the water doesn’t come out evenly. The self clean is interesting but mine is leaving quite a bit of dirt in the tray. I like that I can take everything out easily and rinse/wash to keep the machine clean. The cord is long which is helpful. If the price point on this was a bit less it would be a great value for the money. It really shouldn’t be more then $100 for the work it does.

It doesn’t sweep, just blows dirt!
It sprays out water to mop but doesn’t sweep good. You can watch it just blow things around!

Not worth the money with long hair dogs.
As you can see in the picture, only half of the width actually got wet and cleaned. If you have long haired dogs, i.e. German Shepherd this is not a one and done product.

Like it but don’t love it
Ok now that I’ve used it several times.. I would recommend getting the upgraded version. I love my vacuum mop but now that we took out almost all of our carpet I have a lot more to mop and my vaccum mop only holds 14.5 ounces which means I have to dump the water more or else it leaves my floors streaky . The upgraded mop is more but it holds almost double the amount of waste preventing less streaks . Definitely get corded (I don’t trust the battery powered from experience)

Doesn’t Seem Efficient
I bought the crosswave pet. I have done a lot research into the many machines like this. I read dozens of reviews in all the different ratings categories (1 star, 2 star, etc) and tried many of the tips offered by past customers. I have used this several times and tested the cleanliness of the floors afterwards. I really wanted this to work and be the answer to most of my floor cleaning. I have all wood and laminate flooring and it takes hours to sweep and mop. The machine is easy to use and not too bad to clean. This vacuum and mop combo just didn’t seem to clean the floors. No matter how many times I went over the floor, the water was black or brown. I would wipe the floor with a white cloth after each cleaning and it always has dirt on it, not matter how many times I go over the floor. The tank capacity is great. I can go over a lot of surface area with one tank. The design seems great, but I don’t know that enough water is being filtered through to clean the floor nor the machine well. I am in the process of returning the machine. It just doesn’t work well. Also, the “tangle free roller” got hair tangled in it every single time I used it.

Roller stopped working in a quarter inch of water
1. I opened the unit to make sure the drive band (connecting the motor to the roller) was intact. It looked okay. 2. Took a photo. The motor appears to be shielded (but not completely enclosed) by a plastic cover. 3. I checked if a replacement motor was available from Bissel site. Nope! 4. At this point I was not sure about whether the motor OR its power supply was not working. 5. And since Bissel does not provide any of these replacement parts (or even document them) it was not worthwhile to dig into at. And into the trashcan the vacuum went! I used this vacuum for 4 years with very, very light use (literally once every couple of months for just one 20 square foot balcony). Even when it worked, I was disappointed at the tiny amount of water it can collect (stops working after about 2 cups). And it stopped working permanently in a quarter inch of water. DISAPPOINTED! There seem to be many better options on the market costing half the price of this machine.

Great on smooth surface.
We are up in ND and our floors get muddy, melted snow and road salt covered. This product has worked great with less effort than a “powered” mop and it vacuumed up the mess. I have not tried it on carpet or tile yet, just sealed wood. I will update on durability and other surfaces.

Better than expected, just wish it had two brushes
OK, I understand it’s not an industrial machine… it does work well… Wish it had dual brushes… But in using it here are some tips and tricks… If you feel that it does not put enough water down especially for heavily texture tile like mine. I actually will pour a half a cup of water on the floor scrub it a little bit with a brush. Let it sit for 10 minutes and then go back and suck it all up. My second tip is you have to find the sweet spot in the suction… Pushing it back-and-forth swiftly, does not cut it… If you have texture tile particularly, pull it backwards slowly until you feel this almost suction kick in and then go at a slow pace to get as much grime off as possible Truth be known this is a condo we bought, and I thought it was a color texture in the tile and it was actually dirt… So we are giving it a thorough deep cleaning this year before our seasonal snowbirds come in.

Easy peasy!
I LOVE this floor/rug cleaner. I don’t need to vacume before using it. I know it says rugs but I do use it on my area rugs (10X12)carpet. The reservoir is so easy to dump and clean. The rest of the machine is also easy to clean. Very light weight. Excellent for quick clean up in the kitchen or wherever you need it.

Don’t waste your money
I bought this machine in July 2024, based on one of my friends who’s had the pet pro version and loved it. I’ve wanted to love it especially since its not cheap but there are too many issues. Firstly, the clean tank valve cap has a leaking problem. I finally reached out to Bissell support and they replaced it for free letting me know they would only replace it for free one time. Not even two months later its leaking again, which wastes cleaner and floods the area where this tank connects. After my husband did a quick search he found out this is a common manufacturing problem with this specific machine, that Bissell has yet to fix and will not replace. As far as the design goes, the front of the machine is too thick. It does not clean corners well, or at all really so you would need to go back with a different mop or use your hands to clean those areas. After having had steam mops for years and not having to do that, its annoying that this all in one machine does not in fact get the job done. There is a self clean option but if you’re not actually taking apart the machine and cleaning it yourself you will be liable to mold build up. As a mom to five children and also having three dogs, the need to vacuum/mop is fairly regular. The fact that the filter has to completely dry out before you use the machine again is inconvenient. I honestly wish I’d just bought another steam mop.
