For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

I’ve had this vacuum for a year now and I am very disappointed. I chose this brand because I’ve had a bissell before and decided to get the pet type as I have a dog and cat who shed. this vacuum has given me nothing but trouble since buying it. At times it smells burnt. Other times the belt on the inside will displace itself which then requires the bottom of the vacuum to be completely removed. I vacuum both the living room and bedroom 2-3 times and never have the container completely full before throwing out the dirt/hair. Now I’m not sure if I should buy bissell or try another brand. Honestly, I think I’ll try Eureka this time around because this vacuum has become nothing but a hassle when all I need it to is its job.

Finally, a vacuum I could fall in love with!!
This unit is lightweight, the swivel is marvelous for getting places that other vacuums can’t reach, it never kicks stuff up like my last vacuum (I had to chase the dirt around the room), and gets all the pet hair, without having to chase the hair around after the vacuum. Thank you, Bissell!

Pretty mind blown…
I usually don’t write reviews but I feel the need to do so, in this case. Prior to this purchase, I was using a Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFins Cordless StickVacuum for which I paid almost $400 in August 2022. Now, the suction in the handheld option for that vacuum is amazing, however, using it on carpet is just awful. Despite all the positive reviews for Shark and this vacuum in particular, it has just not worked out but it was after the return option so I’m stuck with it. I looked into other options and came across this vacuum. We do have several pets in the home and so we get dust and dander, along with the pet hair. I just got it delivered, immediately opened it up and put it together to use. The amount of mess that this vacuum was able to get up in just one sweep amazes me. The suction is incredible but also, the brush roll works amazingly. I was able to get up so much that I haven’t because of the other vacuum just not doing it’s worth. I am so happy with this purchase so far and I truly hope it works ever better in the rest of the house. It’s also amazing on the hardwood and tile floors. It is so easy to use, has that “get up and go” momentum on the suction and is very easy to clean. Highly recommend for a carpeted, pet-friendly home.

Wish I woulda went with a sealed vacuum. A true HEPA filtered, internally-sealed vacuum with bags might be the only way to truly not have any exhaust dust fly around. Also, the problem most other people have is true with me as well. Very frustrating to have to unscrew the 8 or 9 screws to get to the brush roll and belt-which gets clogged consistently 🙁

This is THE pet vacuum
I purchased an older model of this vacuum over 4 years ago and it has been the best pet vacuum ever. I finally purchased a new one because my filters were so dirty and I didn’t know how to clean them, but the suction and attachments were still working perfect after 4 years of DAILY use. I have a husky and this has been a miracle. This photo is after just 10 min of use. Don’t be afraid of the size of cord, it’s worth how efficient it is. This is a lasting product!

Cleans better than a Shark
I’m not prone to writing reviews but in this case I felt compelled to share how great this vacuum cleans. I have 3 shark vacuums, a stick vacuum, a shark navigator and a robot vacuum and this Bissell picks up more dirt than any of the others. In fact I gave my Shark navigator to my Granddaughter and no longer have it and I only use the stick for quick pick ups (I have a cat that kicks his litter out of the box) and only use the robot vacuum rarely. This was a 5 star purchase for sure, does a fantastic job on carpets and bare floors and it’s easy to clean the tank and filters. The turboeraser attachment is fantastic for furniture. It’s just a great vacuum and I highly recommend it.

Works Great For Pet Hair!
It showed up on time and works as expected. My wife’s only complaint is the hose. In use, the hose is a bit short which, when stretched, causes the vacuum to fall. It’s easy to use, easy to empty, works great, attachments work as expected. The Vacuum is very light, thus the issue with the hose. Ultimately, that’s the reason for four stars rather than five, and that’s a fixable issue by adding an extension hose.

The spinner thing never stops spinning-even once the hose is taken out to vacuum other parts such as blinds, baseboards, etc. the hose is also hella short and really inconvenient. But it does work great at vacuuming carpets and hardwood

Works well, not super polished
Downgraded from a Shark after it finally disintegrated after 10 years. This Bissell is a nice, powerful vacuum but it’s missing a couple features that would make it great. – Brush roller is always running. It should turn off automatically when vacuum is upright. There should also be a button to turn it off so it can be run over more delicate rugs. – Hose disconnect should be a button for easy detachment.

Adequate but not awesome
Replaced our 10+ year old Bissell Powerclean Multicyclonic that developed a short. Nice things about this new one include great suction, swivel steering, easy to disassemble and clean, and very light for an upright. Dislikes include: * Hose – it’s rather short & doesn’t expand much or well; as a result the vacuum easily tips over when using attachments. It also connects off the back and gets in the way of wrapping the electrical cord. * Attachments – are short and thus don’t make up for the short hose (our previous model had an extension on the connector rod) * The upright roller keeps going even after disconnecting to use hose with an attachment. Maybe it’s OK, but it’s kind of distracting.

Not reliable
This vacuum works great for a few weeks – I cleaned it out every time it filled up and this last time I went to go use it, it completely stopped working and doesn’t suck anything up. Great price but not reliable. The first one broke upon the first day and the replacement broke after a few weeks.

WOW I had no idea how dirty my area rugs were even after using my old vacuum. The new Bissell so far so good…it is heavier than my last vacuum. This product is amazing. I was not expecting this cheap of a vacuum cleaner will work, so good it poured up dirt that was on top of dirt. I recommend is vacuum cleaner very worth it and I have short carpet so I do not know how it works on shaggy carpet.

Durable and suction
I have had this unit for over 2 years. It works great. I clean the sponge filters montly. After using 3 to 5 times a week everything is functional, durable. The sunctuon still strong. I was going to pur have a new one as I like to replace every few years.. THE Bissell 2998 is on sell for $136. It’s an no-brainer to upgrade…. however the 2252 is traffic !!!!

Superior Suction for Cleaning
Years ago, a friend recommended I buy an expensive Kerby vacuum since she had one and raved about it. So, I purchased one and had one issue after another. So, I gave the Kerby away to some friends and sought out this Bissell. I am getting older and need to have a lighter but powerful vacuum with very good suction power. I am amazed this Bissell is fairly light, has a very good suction ability and has a few cleaning attachments making it easy to operate and clean out the suction tank. The only issue I have found is the suction tank has an inside attachment making it more difficult to remove the debris so I must put my hand up in the tank to pull down my dog’s hair to clear out the tank. The filter is easy to remove and clean and I rarely need to clean out the floor brush. I believe the cost was reasonable and the shipping was great. I highly recommend this Bissell vacuum for anyone.
