For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Used it after my cleaning ladies came and it still filled up in a few minutes. It matches my bissell stick vac colors and design. I like that this one is plug-in so it has more power, doesn’t need charge and has greater capacity so it maintains suction. It is a great value because it works better than expensive vacuums at a fraction of the cost. It is the best vacuum I have used or bought.

I bought this after reading the reviews and thought it would be amazing. It is easy to maneuver and does a great job cleaning my carpets. Have had no issues till now. The brush stopped spinning. So I thought since I have animals it just needed to be cleaned out which I did. Then realized the belt was loose so I purchased new belts. Put it back together and now it still is giving me problems. Not sure what else to do. I used this vacuum every other day. Now I am looking for a new one. Do it suggest buying this if you have hairy pets because it will not last

GAME CHANGER!
I vacuum twice or three times a week to combat my long hair shedding ontop of 2 cats and their shedding… my cordless Dyson was just not able to handle the job. BUT THIS THING….. I have only vacuumed my living room rug and the second picture is what all it has picked up. Don’t buy a $500 Dyson and buy this reasonably priced vacuum! It works 1000 times better!

Better made then most
This is our 2nd Bissel. Compared to the 1st one, it’s not as well made and doesn’t seem as sturdy. But it’s put together well and has a lot of suction. Haven’t used it much so time will tell if it’ll hold up as well as the Bissell this one is replacing. That one lasted about 15 years. Would still be going if it wasn’t made with plastic in important places like hinges and other areas that get a lot of use. The truth is, they’re all made this way. But it’s why I only gave it 4 stars. The cord is plenty long enough and the on tool storage is convenient. As is the fact for the price, that it comes with more than just the core is tool! That all said, I do like it and I do recommend it.

Belt broke on 1st use

Defective design damaged brand new carpet
Note that I’ve been a Bissell customer for decades and always been happy with their products until now. We replaced the carpet right at a month ago, and our existing vacuums could not adjust to this deep pile. We purchased this vacuum specifically because it had a height adjustment. It initially worked great. It was able to vacuum the deep pile carpet we had just installed with no problem. The problem arose when my wife attempted to use the tools to clean the ceiling fan. Even when upright and the tools in use, the roller brush continues to turn. In the couple of minutes it took to clean the ceiling fan, it frayed a section of the brand new carpet. I contacted Bissell customer service and their response was that this was a known issue and that they would sell me an optional tray specifically designed to prevent this. No mention at all of repairing my carpet. Really!!! You know this is a problem and instead of simply adding a switch to the machine to turn off the roller brush when the handle is upright and locked, you expect me to buy an optional accessory. Every vacuum I’ve owned in the past 20 years automatically turns off the roller brush when the handle is upright specifically to prevent this kind of thing. Returning this and purchasing a better designed vacuum.

When the belt goes out, and it will, you will have to remove 20,000 screws to replace it. And then, the belt will be the wrong belt, or maybe something is just broken, who knows. You bought the vacuum about 6 months ago. Buy something else!!!

We love it. Very light weight and easy to use. Wonderful suction. We had just vacuumed the day before with our upright. When this arrived we tried it out. Filled the canister up all the way with lots more dirt and dust. The biggest complaint in previous reviews was the placement of the cord on the bottom left made it hard to use. I found this to be true but just moved the cord to the other side and up to the handle where there is a little hook that holds it conveniently out of the way.

An overall great vacuum! Lightweight and easy to carry up and downstairs. Nothing get stuck in the brushes and if something does, it’s very easy to get it out. Also a very easy vacuum to clean and empty. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I have a German shepherd and this gets all the fur. Perfect for dogs that are shedders!

Shedding Cat Buy This!
My cat sheds something awful starting around August and continues for about three months. It’s a nightmare to keep up with. I have long hair, which also contributes to hair everywhere. I love this vacuum cleaner with pet attachments. I can actually vacuum my cat’s fur. She’s not afraid of the vacuum so it all works out. She hates being groomed and that hasn’t changed. But this vacuum does the job. I bought the least expensive one and it’s awesome! Buy this if you have fur babies.

Great on Carpet/Horrible on Area Rugs
We purchased this a few months ago and it does very well on installed carpet but that’s about it. Area rugs even on the highest setting, it pulls the rugs off the floor and jams up the machine every time. We are past our return window so we have to purchase a separate vacuum for the area rugs and wood floor. There is no setting to turn the roller brush off even on wood. The suction is good on carpet for dog hair and does well in that category but if you have any other type of surface, would not recommend this as your daily vac.

Less than a year later… and motor burned up!
I have used my vacuum a handful of times (maybe once a month the most). I bought it last year in Christmas. It’s November 2024 and today as I was going to use it…. The motor started fuming and a horrible smell came from the motor. The trash area was empty but out of no where it just started fuming. I don’t recommend this product. It didn’t last at all! Also every time I used it- I had to check it because it wasn’t picking up correctly. I bought it because I have two dogs and I would pick up regular dirt from the carpet. This didn’t work as expected 🙁

Actually this is NEGATIVE STARS!! DO NOT BUY!!!!
I’ve only used this vacuum a few times since I got it in July, and nothing major. Just vacuuming my kids rugs and such. I made sure to adjust the settings at the bottom of the vacuum to the correct height. Suddenly, I smelled burning rubber and it stopped sucking things up. So I opened it up and found it is all melted where the belt is!! It burned a hole right through the inside structure of the vacuum as well, along with the part that spins as you can see in the photos. When I called Bissell since it’s still under warranty (after I sent them the photos) they suggested I bring it to a repair center 2 hours away!! So obviously they don’t plan on replacing the vacuum even though this happened with no fault of mine! So DON’T BUY THIS VACUUM!! I’ve always bought Shark but this was a birthday present. Bissell has TERRIBLE customer service and the guy was so rude to me! Go with a SHARK, they’ve always been great!

3 Month Review – I Still Don’t Like It
Likes: Cheap, collection tube empties great, has adequate suction, & on/off and handle control is foot action controlled. Dislikes: Cheap – It just feels cheaply made. The roller adjustment has never worked since day one; & because of this, the vacuum struggles to make its way forward no matter what the surface is. I an guessing the motor will eventually wear out sooner than later. It’s heavy = why so heavy if it is made so cheaply. The on/off lever is so close to the handle tilt lever. I an constantly turning it off when I want to tilt the handle. Bottom line: I regret this buy. I would never buy this if I had another swing at it.

I am so excited
It was time to replace a Miele Vac that I had had for 20 plus years. I have a Corgi (for those of you who don’t know, Corgi’s shed 2x a year – for 6 month each time) so that means lots of dog “glitter” on the rugs, floor and furniture. After reading reviews, I went with the Bissell. First time using, I was astounded not only by the amount of dog hair it picked up but by the amount of “dirt” that was hiding in my carpets. I have had it about a month and I am still impressed by the suction. I would highly recommend this vacuum – even if you don’t have dogs or cats. Another great feature, is how easy it is to clean out the dust collection chamber – no more expensive bags. If it had an automatic rewind feature for the cord it would be perfect.

Great at pet hair but bulky and hard to push
I want to love this vacuum but some of the cons just outweigh the pros. Pros: this vacuum is great at getting up pet hair and dirt. Dare I say better than our previous Shark vacuum. But… Cons: 1. The cord annoyingly will not stay in the wall. Constantly having to stop and ply it back in and I’m not even tugging the cord. 2. It’s hard to push around especially in certain settings. You’re going to get a workout using this vacuum and it slows down the cleaning process. 3. The hose is difficult (compared to other vacuums) to unattach and reattach. Maybe it will become easier over time but it can be a fight to get the hose unattached, So I do like this vacuum because of how well it sucks up hair. We have a high shedder and its works wonders. But I’m not sure I’d buy again because of the above listed cons.

What the headline says. They went to the trouble to create a corner attachment that doesn’t fit onto the vacuum itself. You must store either the corner tool or the Pet TurboEraser Tool on the vacuum. You cant do both. You will have to store it somewhere else. I think this will get lost over time. It seems weird for the price to have a piece that you have to store separately. You would think they could have figured out a way to store all the pieces on the vacuum. Oh well. Hope this helps.

Tips over easy
For the most part I love this vacuum. Moves great and has great suction. Where the frustration comes in is when you’re using the hose with an attachment. It knocks over EXTREMELY easy. While you’re using the hose you’re also having to keep a hand on the vacuum to keep from falling over.

OOKKKKKKKK GET THIS VACUUM! It has a zillion positive reviews for a reason! I did ONE pass over our carpet tonight after my last vacuum (it was a fancy oreck) stopped working. Where was all this dirt and fur hiding!!????? I am horrified. Definitely a MUST for pet owners. It cleaned my carpet so well, and then I adjusted the setting to do my hardwood floors and they’re so clean. ALSO it has suction across the entire thing so it gets crap up edge to edge. It gets ALL the corners. Dust bunnies stand no chance…. Or in my case, dust monsters. My goodness! So gross! Thanks Bissell for this amazing tool!!

don’t buy
the dust bin is easy to empty. That being said, I can think of no other reason to purchase this product. I bought it because I have two dogs. But honestly, this vacuum is so awkward to use. The only other vacuum that I have ever used and found almost as much of a struggle to use was my grandmother’s old Kirby vacuum. Only the Kirby did a better job. I only gave this 2 stars out of pity.

Does the job but…
It’s light in weight & does the job well, picking up easily on the sides, vacuuming forward or pulling it back. We have 2 dogs, however, & find their fur tends to get caught up in the filter. The hair will only come out by reaching up into the barrel and pulling it out. While it’s a good product for the money, we dont expect the vacuum to last overly long.
