Very solidly made but poorly designed. A noisy fan turns on with power even when not needed. Very inefficient in power conversion, especially ruinous for small loads but bad enough at its middle load peak efficiency (83%).

no reverse polarity protection, not user servicable
got this to use for a project, and had to hack the connector off for my application. and i accidently connected it reverse polarity. that’s all my fault. of course it popped. i opened it up to see if there was anything i could repair. it is not meant to be serviced. there is no way to take it apart completely without a soldering iron. there’s what looks like a 5A fuse in there, which i think i blew, but it too is soldered to the board. this device is not robust to reverse polarity and was never intended to be serviced. it’s just easier / better for me to find another one that is not quite as poorly made.

Purchased in August but didn’t start using until October and was using it once a day for 20 minutes to cook some steel cut oats, worked for approximately 3 months and stopped working doesn’t turn on anymore checked the plug and fuse plug is good. Assuming something internal burned out. Don’t waste money on this inverter.

Good for road trippers like me who need to use my car as a power station and charge my various gadgets. Until I get a nice battery/power station, this little unit will suffice. This things is good for charging my drone, gaming laptop, cameras, phones, and lights. Great little thing. People recommend to keep this thing flat and horizontal, and to not block the fan in the rear. Do not plug large appliances into this thing. You will blow a fuse.

unreliable, AND does not provide sufficient power
The media could not be loaded. advertised 300W is not able to charge electric scooter (110W) and maintain (not charge) laptop operation. You can say the product is not as described. One reason could be that most cars’ cigarette socket is only rated to provide 180W power, so whether or not this device is 300W continuous/700W peak is moot, since this is beyond the fuse capacity of the vehicle, any vehicle. Furthermore, 5 weeks into using, the fan has started to rattle. Because of the fan noise, I recomment against buying, as it might fail you the moment you most need it.

I purchased the BESTEK 300W 12VDC -> 110VAC Inverter to power a prototype solar-powered water pump system that I designed and built. The battery I’m using is a small 12V/20Ah LiFePO4. It’s charged with a solar panel and solar charge controller. I had a few questions for the manufacturer about the DC input range of the inverter. They were very responsive and helpful. The prototype solution is working flawlessly. I highly recommend this BESTEK 300W Inverter – and will be purchasing more in the coming months.

I recently took a new job and with that job came the need to be more mobile, but the vehicle I was given to drive is a 2013 F350 with very low miles and aside from power windows, it leaves little to be desired. There is no bluetooth, no charging ports, and storage is almost non existent. I bought this hoping to mount it somewhere on the dash so that I had a way to charge devices on the go and it serves that purpose. It doesn’t have any mounting points, so be advised if this is a deal breaker for you. It would’ve been a nice feature given the good quality, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me.

This little power inverter does what it says it’s gonna do. It’ll power a couple laptops or similar devices on a long car ride. Dual usb ports are nice to have. Small firm factor is a plus. It’s a lower capacity inverter so it won’t power anything much bigger. Good for what it is and good for the money.
