This generator is underrated and outperforms anything out there. It takes care of all my work needs and I don’t have to worry if it’s going to handle the load. The fit and finish are great and its easy to transport. I recommend this to anyone looking for an easy-to-use generator.
specifications were unclear, but reviewers indicated the remote start capability was included. When unit received the 12v battery bay was empty and no remote fob included. Apparently this variant is pull-start only. Not sure yet if they can add kit with capability or if I need to return the entire unit – but working directly with Westinghouse to address.

This generator is wonderful. It’s got a remote start key. It’s push button start, but has a pull start for back up. It runs off propane or gas. It’s one of the quietest gas gens I have heard. It started off the push button the first time I started it. It has a handle to carry it from the top. It also has a pull out handle to drag it on two wheels. The value for what u get is excellent. It was super easy to get going. I would recommend this generator to anyone needed something portable & easy to use!

Super quiet and easy to move around
After Hurricane Helene hit we needed a generator that could run most of our appliances but yet quiet enough to run at night. Our neighbor had a Honda that was super quiet and after getting this we found this Westinghouse generator was even quieter. An added bonus was the remote start! It runs off gas or propane and starts up like a champ. Easy to move around with the added handle when you’re by yourself. We are super happy with this unit!

Generator runs and performs great! Shortly after placing my order( about 5 min) I realized I needed a bigger generator but could not cancel my order. I contacted Amazon to try and resolve the issue but my order couldn’t be cancelled for some reason. A bit surprised, but….
Product appears to be as expected. Too early to make a rating but need to register for warranty. Initial impressions: heavy, handle not easy to use (must pickup handle end of this heavy machine in order to extend ladder), only two wheels so one end must be raised before moving). Not for anyone not able to lift 40 pounds or more, (I.e., one end of the generator). 4 lockable wheels would make for a better design)

Clarification and initial review
I haven’t had a chance to use this other than testing it out, and honestly hope that remains the case. I did some testing on this with an 1800 W hair dryer and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. I was coming from a very old 4000 W generator that was very loud. This is very easy to move around and more compact. Very pleased with the purchase so far. I do want to know that I was confused about what I was getting. I ordered the iGen5000DFc. I want dual fuel in the 5000 W. The pictures were correct but the item description was not. The price lined up with other website websites so I decided to order. Luckily it was what I expected and was the proper model number. I did report this to Amazon so hopefully they will resolve.

Quiet, easy to operate
This generator is quiet, easy to move, easy to operate. It has a handle like luggage with wheels. Fuel can be gasoline or propane. I purchase it because of power outage from hurricane and am certain it will be perfect if we have another outage. Also, it is very portable so could be used at other times such as camping. WESTINGHOUSE IGEN4500DF is an amazing generator.
Received this generator a few days ago and love it so far! It is very well packaged and the instructions are very complete. The wheels and handle make this as easy to move as a suitcase. The quick set up guide and user manual are excellent and easy to follow. After adding the supplied engine oil I hooked up my propane tank and it started with just a few pulls of the recoil starter. It runs smooth and quiet. This will be a great addition to my camper. Let the camping season begin!

First the instruction manual is spot on. The manual is easy to read and understand. They include a battery and oil with your shipment, no running to the store to purchase other items. It’s easy to start, connect the battery, add oil to the crank case, add fuel propane or gasoline, and press the start button. It has a retractable handle and wheels that makes it easy to relocate. When running it’s very quiet and the fuel economy is very good. It’s a great buy for the money!!

Bought this shortly after my neighbor got his. We were all so impressed, now several people in my neighborhood own one. Likes: – Extremely quiet – quieter than my other neighbors Honda that only makes about 1/2 the power. – Plenty of output for most home uses. – Well packaged … comes with everything you need, including tools – Extremely well written owners manual (they weren’t kidding about checking the oil when filling it up for the first time either. It starts to get full at about 0.5 qts … not with entire bottle that comes with it. You can probably imagine how I figured that out) – Is fairly easy to roll around, especially with the built-in handle. – Shipping was extremely fast … particularly with over 1MM people out of power. Hurricane Helene knocked our local power out on a Friday, and my neighbor ordered one from Amazon that day. His was delivered Tuesday! Dislikes … I’m reaching a bit here: – For some folks, the unit may be fairly heavy (I believe it is about 60 kg / 120 lbs or so – check the specs on the listing) If you want one that is easy to pick up and move up stairs, you may want to get a lighter / less powerful model … or get a longer extension cord. I think the weight of this is reasonable for how much power it produces, and is no problem at all for me to roll around on a relatively flat surface – like a paved driveway. I could pick it up if I needed to, like when I got it out of the box, but I’ll try to avoid that in the future. Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase. Once I saw this thing in action, I had to have one.

Didn’t start out of the box
Was delivered and all looked well Added oil and followed all steps in the quick start guide. It would not start. Tried gas and propane. Was afraid to do to much as not to void the warranty. Called customer support and was told to try a few basic steps to no avail. A case number was established and was told in 5 days that a return contact would be made. After 5 days and doing all the troubleshooting steps in the original email l found a disconnected blue wire connection under the gas tank. I reconnected it and everything ran fine. Still no word from service.

Liked the fact that you can use gas or propane to fuel the generator. The iGen400DFcv has wheels and a handle so that it’s fairly portable. Good price. Easy-to-understand instruction manual. Will certainly be used next time we lose power (hurricane season).

Great generator
This has a 30amp plug for our RV. I did some testing on its limits and was happy to see I could run the A/C, microwave, and electric water heater at the same time without tripping it out. The best feature is the switch that cuts fuel to the carb. If I’m going to store it for a while I can cut the fuel and run it dry to keep old fuel from gunking up everything

Engine seized up after 3rd use
I bought this for camping but have not gone since purchasing. I loved it at first. First two uses it started up great, no issues. I tried starting it after approx 5 months of storage and engine seized up. Im really disappointed. I hope i can troubleshoot it somehow. Will update as I figure out what’s going on.

Easy of Use
Its heavy but it wheels really nicely and started up fast the first time. I also really like the digital display on the front panel. One downside is that it’s easy to over fill the oil pan, so be careful and go slow.
