specifications were unclear, but reviewers indicated the remote start capability was included. When unit received the 12v battery bay was empty and no remote fob included. Apparently this variant is pull-start only. Not sure yet if they can add kit with capability or if I need to return the entire unit – but working directly with Westinghouse to address.

Smooth, quiet and delivers without issue
The good feature of this generator is the remote start. Super quiet and easy to use. Very powerful, it can handle the AC in the RV, fridge and several other appliances at the same time. I mostly use it with gas, but love the flexibility of the duo fuel. Easy to change the oil as well. It has been a year and I use it pretty frequently, I have never had any issues with it starting or overloading. Very lightweight compared to other generators and it is easy to move it around.

This is a nice generator, I first bought its big brother and still runs great, the only thing that I don’t like is the fuel cap, plastic mouth and hard to line up unlike its big brother which is metal. If I was the manufacturer I would think about making it metal. Overall great product.

Only worked once
Purchased 6 weeks ago and only worked once and now won’t start. Reached out to Westinghouse and filed a case ( called 2 times) and we are still waiting for a tech to respond. We’ve followed all the suggested trouble shooting from the manufacturer but no luck. Nice unit. It’s quiet, especially in the ECO mode. My 24′ RV A/C doesn’t stress the generator at all, using 1.6 kw. It came with the exact amount of oil, so it was put the oil in, connect the battery wires, connect a propane tank to the supplied regulator and it started right up!

Just got it. Started up the first time with no trouble. My only complaint (so far?) is that the user manual seems to have been written mostly by a lawyer who was maybe briefly in the same room with the equipment: lots and lots of warnings and not organized in manner useful the user (e.g. first how to unpack, then things to do the first time, then initial startup, then maintenance and troubleshooting).

Runs great so far so far, no problem with shippingnor setup. I did a six hour break-in on propane no problems. Oil change to synthetic blend, then ran for another hour with issue. I know the inverters are known to be considerably more quiet than a traditional open frame, but I was still surprised how quiet it was loaded.

Learning my Generator
My husband and I purchased this for camping. So far we are learning our generator and figuring things out. It is very extensive but the more we learn the more comfortable we are becoming. Worked like a Champ! Super Quiet! Love Dual Fuel Option.
Bought this for our camper; planned to use it if we needed to run the air conditioner. First weekend out and our battery had a short in it so we relied on the generator for all of our power needs. We used it on propane about 20 feet from the camper and barely heard it inside the camper and were able to stand next to it and have a normal conversation. On the heavy side for me to lift by myself but with 2 of us it was no problem.

Good features at a reasonable price
Got the dual fuel with electric/remote start. Tried to start it from the get go on propane but it wouldn’t start so I started it with a little gas and ran it for 30 seconds and tried the propane again and it started right up the second time on propane. I’ve only used it about 6 hours for the break in period. I ran it a couple hours on gas and it ran a bit rough with a small load of 300 watts but ran smooth at higher load draws. When using propane it ran smooth with any level of load, light or heavier. The gas I used was not old but I tried using some engineered gas from a can at 92 octane and no ethanol but it still ran rough on the gas at light loads. I called Westinghouse tech assistance and got a call taker who took my info and said someone would call back. That was over two weeks ago so I called back and the lady told me it’s taking a long time for service to get back to people. So, as it turns out, as I ran the generator longer during the last hour or so it started to smooth out so maybe it just needed some hours of break in but still doesn’t explain why it ran perfectly smooth on propane. Regardless, I’m giving 4 stars for features, quick shipping and deducting one star for warranty response. Time will tell if it’s a reliable machine.

Great Generator
We purchased this generator after borrowing the parents. It’s fantastic for running everything in the camper especially the AC. I’ve never camped with AC now I don’t ever want to be without it! Amazing at 1st
I received the generator on April 30, 2024. I immediately hooked up propane and started using it. It worked amazing at 1st, but after about 3 months, I started having starting issues. I didn’t have problems until I tried using Gasoline, and now it doesn’t like to start at all. Occasionally, I have to let it set for days before it will start. The warranty department says it’s probably the carburetor and that is only covered for 3 months. I use this daily to charge solar power stations that are not getting enough sun, it might be okay for emergency use, but not for regular use off-grid.

Lightweight, high quality inverter generator!
I purchased this generator on July 5th, 2024, and have already used it on multiple trips. My main plan with this generator was to power my 13,500 BTU A/C on my RV. As long as there are no other loads when starting the A/C, the generator works great! Once running, I am able to power other appliances with ease. I was surprised by how quiet it is. Inverter failed after 2 days
After using the generator for two days, the overload light came on, and the generator stopped working. I will contact Westinghouse and revisit my review when I get it repaired and replaced and how the failure will be handled. So far, I am disappointed—the first two days running were great.

Manageable size and easy to operate

2choice of fuel and an inverter for simple plug in ..saves the day !
The gasoline fuel choice is available on my unit but I already have a BBQ propane tank. So I used that. After a battery charge , eco mode on ‘off’. start up was a cinch …trick to always put a load ( ie. hairdryer plugged in 10 minutes ) then switch to eco mode. Unit recommends 5 hour break- in period. .. it’s even timed for you ! As unit runs a tiny bit of electricity keeps battery charged. Included manual is easy to follow. We couldn’t get an essential screw out , called Help number on a Saturday afternoon..wonderfully helpful service person arranged to send out what is needed and also explained if storm should arrive before screw that generator still safe to use. Great value for a safety back up when power is out. Inverter model is the simple way to the power…allows you to just plug in appliances… being careful to rotate power gobblers like anything that gets hot or needs to stay cold. …I’llvput refrigerator on several hours then rotate to make micro meal then fans…. back to refrig. etc. A neighbor had a small room AC for sleeping they rotated. So when screw arrives I’ll change to a 5 star … this is terrific backup for our house … PS I need to keep it out of the camper or I may need to order another!

This generator is stated to be 52 dB at the lowest RPM. At best it is 58 db. The generator is good but the stated noise Db is not accurate.

First time user so I was a little nervous
I decided on a Westinghouse inverter generator as the very first generator I’ve ever used. I had no idea how much power I should have…so bought a little more than I might need just in case. This brand seemed to have easy-to-follow directions and easy to find knobs and buttons. What helped me pick this model was it had a handle with wheels, dual fuel types, push button start and a remote start option. It’s a little heavier than I wanted but that sacrifice for more power seems worth it so far. I’m not going to lie, it took a bit of reading the manual and watching a video to feel comfortable with everything at the beginning…but so far so good.

Love the option of fuels
Here in Houston power is sketchy and this generator is a little peace of mind knowing we will have access to our basic needs in an event of outage. Nicely packed and very sturdy. Will update after use.

It looks nice. I was especially interested in seeing that it can use gas or propane to power it. That it has remote electric start and that fact that it is quiet and has 18 hours of run time.

Arrive quickly, product as described, fairly easy to set up.
There was oil in the motor from manufacture, so it doesn’t take the whole amount. Watch carefully when filling oil so don’t overfill. Otherwise, fairly easy to set up.
