We replaced a five-year-old shark that is identical to this one. I wouldn’t use this as your main vacuum as the suction is not quite like a corded vacuum. But we use this one for quick cleanups around the birdcage and the occasional spills. Shark discontinued, the headlight on the front of the unit which is said because a greatly helped you locate and ensure that you were getting up any debris on the floor. I bought it aftermarket light but it’s not the same.

Didn’t work after 1st usage.
It didn’t charge after 1st usage. It did not suck up off the hardwood floors. Returned after 4th attempt of making sure it was on the charger properly and it died after turning it on.

15 months then ☠️
Worked great until it didn’t. I purchased this vacuum in March of last year then all of a sudden it stopped picking up as if it had no suction. I opened it up, cleaned it out, checked for blockage, washed the filters, etc. and NOTHING. Get the warranty!

A hunk of junk
This worked well for a few months. But now it does does nothing but make noise. I have emptied it and cleaned it regularly but it just wont pick anything up. It has no suction at all and just pushes the crumbs and dust around on the floor.

Inferior quality control and product.
This was the second Shark Navigator that I ordered. Both vacuums had dead batteries upon arrival. First one was returned. After I called customer service when the second one was not good they told me not to return just throw it out which I did. Now I see a message about me returning the second vaccum. Somehow there is a miscommunication between Amazon and myself. I cannot return number two because I threw it out as I was told. By phone. Please straighten this out. Thank you. Marilyn Perretti

Wonderful light weight vacuum
We’ve used this vacuum for over 8 years. Probably replaced the batteries twice which is extremely easy to replace. Replaced one belt that’s also easy to replace. Parts available on Amazon. It’s excellent, lightweight and works well for pet hair.

Invest in Another Vacuum
This vacuum is so awful I actually checked to see if this was a legit seller. I bought one for my home, which is mostly hardwood floors, and it has not held up. Half of the time when I use it, I’m on the ground trying to clean out hair from the space between the suction tube and the dust cup. The dust cup will be empty, and all the mess will be stuck in the tube. The filter is placed in correctly, and the dust cup is also on correctly. I’m not sure if this is a problem with the suction or what. When I still thought this was a good vacuum, I had my employer get one for work. That one broke almost immediately within 3 months and makes the worst sound ever. It is almost like the chain for the teeth of the vacuum is broken , or something is stuck in there. We have literally tried to fix it for hours, and nothing fixes it. This is now 2 of these vacuums that have failed me. I’d rather invest in a $200 vacuum that works for more than 6 months next time.

I love that it’s a lightweight for small jobs. But when Sweeping my long hair from the floor… It got wrapped around the spinner thing and made a horrific noise. It doesn’t sweep as well as it should.

The vacuum works because I bought the battery that was not in luded in my purchase. There was no indication in the ad that I would have to buy a 25.99 battery to make it work. Other then that it is fine.

Broke within a month
Usually Shark is a solid brand to rely on. However, we were really enjoying our vacuum until it stopped working out of the blue. We used it to vacuum up dust and small debris so, we were surprised by how fast it quit on us. We went though the manually, googled how to fix it and if others had ran into the same issue. Looks like there are some known issues. We had only so much we could spend on a vacuum, and we wanted something compact and small – easy to use. If you have a larger budget I would recommend looking somewhere else.

Piece Of Crap
I purchased this vacuum in August 2023, and it no longer is charging! I been using cordless vacuums for years and in the past, the vacuums I have purchased have lasted at least 3 years before no longer charging. This one is less than a year old and already not charging. Will never buy a Shark again!

Spent last long
Bought this a less tha 2 years ago for back up vacuum. It does do well but doesn’t stay charged long enough to do the whole house. (800 square feet). Needed to purchase belts for it and they are not available. Ordered the ones on Amazon and they don’t fit. Went to the Shark web site and they don’t have them. Disappointed ☹️

I clean this, my dad has cleaned it and it still doesn’t work. It’s never worked. I still have to use a real broom or vacuum cleaner because all this does is redistribute dust instead of sucking it up.

Grams loves it after some modifying
It really sucks in a good way,and for that reason I’ve always liked this brand. Only complaint would be for short people. They need to make it adjustable height so we don’t have to modify it ourselves for short grandma’s.

Lasted four months
This vaccuum lasted about four months, with regular cleaning of the brush roll, filter, etc, before the motor burned up and did not operate correctly. It was a decent vacuum before then, but I would not recommend it if you want a vaccuum that will last at least half a year.

Broke in less than a year
Disappointed. We never even used it on carpet and the roller stopped working. So now it only sucks. Which is fine for the most part but functions less than what it should. I called customer service and they said it’s not covered under warranty. Not happy at all. We’ve always had Shark products and repurchasing in less than a year does not make me a happy loyal customer. Hopefully other people have better luck than us.

Charge Life is Very Short
I use this vacuum frequently and it kept dying fast so I actually timed it one day while I was using it and it only lasts 12 straight minutes on one charge. That’s it! I do not recommend this vacuum for normal usage.

Great medium duty vac!
I’ve had this vacuum model before and loved it. The previous one’s handle broke so you have to take care not to jerk it around too roughly but other than that, it picks up great on hard floors and pretty good on carpet. Easy to empty and clean. The battery lasts long enough for my two bedroom apartment and it can go almost flat to go under furniture. The charging base is convenient and unobtrusive. I recommend as the best value at this price point!

It’s a great vacuum but the battery life is awful I realized if you use it real quick to vacuum a spot on the carpet for a few seconds then the same thing later and the same thing a few more times really quick then each time put it on the charger I thought that solved the problem on when I’m almost finished when I vacuum the whole house only having one spot left then it will die that happened twice in the same spot when I first bought it so I started putting it on the charger after I would vacuum a spot or just one room using it for about 1:00 minute but a few minutes ago the battery died as I was vacuuming all floors and carpets as it hasn’t been used since it was finished charging 4 days ago I think that unless the carpet needs to be deeply vacuumed then maybe I should always use the floor mode but I was back and forth switching from carpet mode to floor mode in conclusion I was only vacuuming the whole house floors and carpets and even taking the time to turn it off while I put the curtains back in place and switching to floor mode when I get to the floors for less than 5 minutes and in the last room which was going to be finished in 60 seconds the battery died as it has not been used since it completed charging 4 days ago it’s confusing the last thing is when it’s done charging it’s only supposed to be one flashing light so at first it was now I can’t tell as I have to really look at it for a while to realize one side of the oval is slightly lighter than the other that’s because the blue light is so bright it reflects on the other half so you still can’t tell so you just know if it’s been over 7 hours it should be full battery I personally wouldn’t recommend this simply because of the battery and the light when it’s finished charging but it really is a good vacuum you can tell the carpet has just been vacuumed it’s a good vacuum but it the battery is life is terrible

Suction stopped less than 1 year after purchase
The vacuum worked well and was easy to clean. We used it about twice a week to combat pet hair on wooden floors and our bed duvet in an 800-square-foot apartment. One day, about eight months into owning this vacuum, we noticed the brushes spun normally, but the suction stopped, rendering it useless. Unfortunately, it’s going in the garbage now.
