The stars speak of…
Opinions about this product were divided in such a proportion among the buyers.
The media could not be loaded. I noticed a lot of the bad things people were saying in the reviews had been fixed. I was able to easily move it into tight spaces and it turned right and left! It cleaned my floor better than any other vacuum I’ve had. You do have to empty it every 1 or 2 uses so far. I’m guessing that will be less the more and more you use it. I have no problems getting it to stand on its own. The bottom of it you can detach and take it to the stairs. It makes it a lot easier than just carrying the whole vacuum and it just stands there for you. I love this vacuum. It was a great deal for such and amazing working cleaning machine!
We bought this after seeing multiple people say they had thick/ shag carpet and it worked well for them. Well that was not the case for us! The vacuum legitimately sucked in our carpet and would not move. So it was powerful but when you have thick/plush carpet, that doesn’t work. Therefore if you have very thick carpet, it likely won’t work for you either.

It’s CRAP!
I don’t know who is eating this so highly. If you’re a girl with long hair you will be cleaning this after EVERY cleaning. Even on the highest setting on an area rug I’m struggling to push it forward. I’m waiting for this motor to either burn out or it catches fire. Terrible
stella –
It is VERY hard to push
First of all let me start out by saying that I am a perfectionist. My kids will tell you, my husband will tell you and pretty much anyone who knows me will tell you that I when I pay good money for some thing I want it to work well. That with my hope with the shark navigator lift away. I have owned one of these in the past and I don’t remember much about it other than I wasn’t crazy about it Way back then and promised myself I would never buy another one and I didn’t for a long time up until now . I thought with all the Positive reviews and all of the new technology in recent years that the shark would live up to the reviews that it has here on Amazon. I was wrong or at least I think I was wrong. I literally just received the vacuum today. It’s also important to note that I have hardwood floors all throughout the downstairs of my 4500 square-foot home. All of the hardwood is covered with area rugs that are dark colors mainly because we built our house in 2005 and dark colors were in at that time. So, when we adopted two all White Rescue dogs, one of each one of which is very large and very hairy and sheds constantly, I never knew I would be vacuuming two and sometimes three times a day just to get rid of the hair. With that being said I needed a decent vacuum that could pick up pet hair easily and that is how this vacuum advertises itself. I now have three vacuums but most of the ones I bought in the past were disposable. If get a full year out of them that is a lot. I’m not talking about cheap 75 or $85.00 vacuums. I am talking about vacuums that are $175.00 or more. I noticed some that might not think that $ 200 is an expensive vacuum and I guess it isn’t compared to the vacuums like Dyson and the other $1000 plus vacuums but to me $200 is still a decent amount of money and for that price I should get a decent vacuum. My past three vacuums have all been Bissells. I bought my first one about three years ago and was very happy with it so when it konked out I continued to buy that brand. . I still think it’s a good vacuum for the price but they honestly don’t last more than a year at the most and I’m getting tired of doing nothing but buying vacuums every six months so I thought I would try The shark and give it another shot, especially after all of the good reviews it got on Amazon. I jus5 received it today. My husband took it out of the box and put it together in less than 5 minutes. I immediately tried to vacuum up the tons of white long-haired wired fur for that sticks into my area rugs from one of my rescues. In all honesty this brand new vacuum did not work much better than my one year-old Bissell vacuum, which was extremely annoying to me , but the thing that really irked me after opening it ( I did not know this before I bought it and probably would not have bought if had known) is that it doesn’t have a retractable cord. I can’t begin to tell you what a pain in the neck it is t wind up a cord especially one on a $200 vacuum. All of my Bissell’s have had retractable cords. I can’t understand why that is such a problem for shark because I’ve checked out pretty much all their brands and all of them have windable cords at least all the brands that have cords. . Anyway enough about the cord now let me talk to you about the vacuum itself. I think any brand new vacuum is gonna be great at picking up dog hair, after all it’s brand new. This one worked well but it was extremely hard to push on my area rugs. Also, at the end of the rugs where all the dog hair seems to gather, I had to push the vacuum at least three or four times to get up ALL the hair that accumulated there . It was very frustrating especially with how heavy this thing is to push!,, it’s not a Light back in by any means. When I read the reviews on Amazon, one reviewer said that the vacuum glides through their house !!! All I could think of is that they don’t have any rugs they’re vacuums and it’s gliding on hardwood because it definitely does not glide on area rugs !!! In fact I ended up with a backache after I just vacuumed only my kitchen and sunroom. The Bissel was also a hard to push vacuum with but again it’s a less expensive vacuum and It did the job so I never really complained about it. I’m still going to hold onto this vacuum because I do like the idea of being able to lift away the canister and vacuum the stairs which was definitely a pain with the Bissell. To try to lug it up the stairs and back down again when I was done. And I have a lot of stairs!! I will try to update my review After I’ve used the Shark everal more times I will let you know what I think but for now I am not overly impressed . it’s just my opinion . I guess it’s because I have a lot of continual dog hair that impedes itself in my rugs So it is probably a lot more for someone like me to vacuum than someone who doesn’t have any dogs or dogs that do not shed. Oh, yes there is one more thing I do you want to mention .The head on the vacuum is much smaller than the head of the vacuum on my Bissell But I don’t think that’s a bad thing because it does actually get more places that my Bissell could not reach but again as far as ease-of-use it is definitely not easy to use.

Heavy
Plus side, it works well. It is very heavy, awkward to maneuver. Dust/fibers sometimes get stuck in bagless area. Cord placement isn’t very good either. Have to be really careful you keep it out of the way. I use a lighter vacuum for certain areas.
Jen –
Crap vacuum
This is the worst vacuum I’ve ever owned. It worked ok for a month and it’s been garbage ever since. It cannot keep up with 3 dogs. If I could give zero stars I would!!
Nancy –
Super suction and easy clean!
My first experience with Shark, wish I’d done this long time ago. Didn’t get a before & after but definitely see difference from previous vacuum. And the upholstery is amazing, have 2 hairy dogs, great suction.
A. Burgess –
Suck it up!
It was a gift but she loves it!
Danielle Long –
Didn’t last long.
I bought this Vacuum in April of 2024. Less than a year and the vacuum pooped out. I do have two double coat, long haired dogs but I always squeegee brush my floors before I vacuum so it doesn’t get the brunt of all the hair these little monsters create. Not worth the money.
Nicolas Beghin –
Very bad quality
Very bad quality, heavy, cheaply made. You really should not buy this
HEATHER –
Great lab hair picker upper
Love this vacuum for a home with only two carpeted rooms. Suction is great, good for money over others. The canister off is awesome for furniture. And best is all washable which many are not. Best part is that picking up lab hair doesn’t smell like lab hair
Katrina –
Good cleaning but cheap quality
The suction is great and I generally like this vacuum. However I’m getting really frustrated by how the HEPA filter falls out any time you bump the vacuum against anything. It literally like explodes open in the middle of vacuuming and is a little tricky to get back in which wastes a lot of time when I’m just trying to do a quick vacuum. I’ve tried taping it down, but the tape pulls on the little tab that (in theory) keeps the filter in place and so it pops off even more easily. I’m thinking about screwing it in. Why is the HEPA filter so easy to remove?? Literally just a light bump will dislodge it. And it’s right in the front of the vacuum where you are gonna bump it. Also the attachments are nice but they all fall off too during vacuuming which is a bit annoying. The vacuum tends to easily fall over when I take the handle off to vacuum with. I guess the vacuum is relatively cheap, so at least the price reflects the cheap quality
David Ladines –
Quality at an economical price
Quiet and effective

Strong suction. Too strong
Super suction. Like a Dyson, will actually pull carpet up, so it’s extremely hard to push, even with rotators. This is our second after first broke after 10 years, but this seems louder and harder to maneuver. Hand vac works well and is easy to push. Bad design has cord in wrong side for pushing vac without tripping over cord or falling over. Much better than tip heavy aricj bags which don’t stand on their own.
Temperance Helman –
Best vaccum for price
This is a great vaccum. I have two cats who shed a lot, and it’s so strong it picks up all the hair, the dirt and dander, the cat litter- anything I’ve needed it for it’s picked up very well. It’s easy to take apart and the attachments work just as well. It’s probably worth more money than I paid for, genuinely.
Sammie Zoghby –
Hard to move on carpet- suction too strong
The vacuum works great and picks up every single speck on the ground. My only issue is it’s hard to use on carpet, the suction power is so strong I can barely move it back and forth. I’m curious if others have had this issue
Origin Designs Ron Heikes –
This vacuum really sucks…in a good way…but
Sent my last Shark Upright out to pasture due to it’s lack of suction. Per other reviewers observations I have to concur that pushing this unit around on low pile carpet is a complete workout. Like mowing a crabgrass lawn with a hand mower. I’m 6′-2″ barely overweight, play sports regularly, do yoga etc and I was amazed at the amount of resistance when vacuuming a low pile carpet. It did a excellent job but expect a workout. My old Shark had (2) self contained holders for additional accessories but this Nav360 Lift Away provides only (1) holder and it’s up at the top of the handle therefore should you to have the long wand crevice tool there is no where to store it. On the older shark said tool could be stored down near the base of the unit and it held (2) accessories. Therefore any extra accessories will have to find another home other than the shark itself which is always annoying. Other than that if your familiar with other Shark Liftaways it’s basically the same but with more suction. Hit the gym before vacuuming the carpet else just consider your carpet vacuuming as it having been a trip to the gym. Ok…maybe a bit overboard on the analogy but just very surprised there was this much resistance when vacuuming.

Not good with hair excellent with dust or dirt
I’ve always purchased bissell vacuum cleaners but always felt like dust escaped through less secure filters. So when the last one quit I bought a shark there are both good and bad things. It does NOT get hair like it should. The roller bar is not belt driven so it takes a lot more effort to get up hair. You have to manually push the vacuum to get the bar to roll. Like a lot. But the good is that it is way better with the small particles. If you have long hair or multiple pets, I’d stick with a belt driven beater bar.
rdavis –
Just ok
This vacuum has great suction, but the belt binds up when you use it on heavy nap carpet.
DFritz –
Terrible!! No way a real Shark
Returned! Safe yourself the trouble and go to the store for a good shark. I thought when said Shark Store I was ordering from the shark company. Nope! My return said seller was Price Whack. I’m to the point I’m never buying name brand stuff on Amazon. This is the second time I ordered name brand and returned. Thus vacuum was horrible. I owned a shark and loved it however it recently died. Apparently this model is older if it’s a real Shark. It didn’t glide on the carpet, squealed when It was turned off, Heavy, and the list goes on. Terrible product!!! Went to lowes and got a real Shark. It’s perfect. Amazon needs to monitor sellers more. I think most of these comments are robotic. No way people would like this vacuum.
Julia M Thomton –
Easy to put together, easy to use
I love my new shark. It’s easy to use, and easy to use the accessories. It was $10 cheaper than Walmart. I bought a white vacuum and love the sleek, clean look! *****
Michael Staton –
Does not pick up all dirt
I have to go back and stop the floors with a broom after using this. Extremely disappointment. It was expensive and it doesn’t do the job.
Amazon Customer –
Dust cup hard to empty
Great suction but have to manually reach in to fully empty dust cup. Not happy at all about that!!
Jim –
Suction too strong
The suction is too strong. Can’t even move the vacuum on rugs even when adjusting the controls. The vacuum was returned.

The Best Vacuum – Worth Every Penny!
I finally found a good vacuum for my carpet, and I couldn’t be happier! I was hesitant at first because of the price, but after dealing with crappy vacuums for too long, I decided to invest in quality. I also read all the great reviews over here and decided to try it. I’m thankful for the honesty of the reviewers you’re the best. Pros: ✔ Powerful suction – deep cleans carpets effortlessly ✔ Lightweight & easy to maneuver ✔ Lift-away feature makes cleaning stairs & furniture easier ✔ Worth every penny – a real investment! Don’t waste your money on any other brand vacuums—this one is built to last and will save you time and effort! Highly recommend!
Lance lee –
So far very happy
This shark lift away deluxe vacuum really sucks. And sucking is good in the vacuum world. I’m happy with my purchase.
laura davenport –
Shark has the Best in vacuums!
This has been one of my prized purchases. It is lightweight versatile, and so easy to clean all parts even even the crevices are easy to clean.
Bruce Benefield –
Barely adequate and badly designed
Like other reviewers, I give this vacuum credit for decent suction. However it’s a vacuum cleaner, its job is to suck. The rest of this vacuum is so poorly designed it’s a pain to use doing a job I already dislike. First the attachment point for the accessories is on the handle where the cord constantly knocks them off as you maneuver. Since the 2 attachment nozzles are friction fitted this happens constantly. There is good powerful suction such that it jams up on thinner throw rugs. To dial down the suction you have to twist a collar beneath the handle, awkwardly placed and without a tab to indicate it’s open. You continue vacuuming and realize it’s not picking up…oops left the suction release open. Emptying the canister requires unlatching 2 side clips made of plastic that I would bet will break in the next year. Finally, because of the canister placement the vacuum will only go about 8 inches under a raised bed, not really practical with an area that breeds dust bunnies. The good points? It sucks fairly well, the canister is tight and doesn’t leak dust, the canister is detachable for mobile use and it’s cheap, or rather attractively priced. This is my third Shark in the last ten years and I think the products have got worse. It will probably be my last
Atwell Country –
Easy to use
Light weight and easy to maneuver. Great suction.
JC43 –
Fantastic
Best vacuum cleaner I have ever had.
Ginny –
Cheaply made and loud
I like that its lightweight, but it seems top-heavy. It is louder than I would like. It doesn’t have a headlight which I had on my other vacuum. You get what you pay for.
Nina Whittleton –
Great vacuum for the price.
Great suction and easy to empty the cup and clean!
D. Aversa –
Would NOT recommend
Suction of the vacuum is not good. When I use it to vacuum up cat litter it spit it back out and then creates a bigger mess. You will end up having to use the vacuum hoes with the tools to do most of your vacuuming. Would not recommend.
Amazon Customer –
Life Changing😁
I love my vacuum! I had a great sweeper, name brand, always did a great job except when we got a dog with white fur. I was beside myself. My rugs and hardwood were coated with fur. I had resorted to a hand held tool to rake the carpet with. Ugh! Then I got this Shark and it lifts up the fur! It’s lightweight and super easy to maneuver. So a sweeper for pet hair is not a gimmick!!
Sim2213 –
Poor quality
It makes screeching sound while vacuuming, does not pick or vacuum properly , have to keep on going over again and again, vary poor quality
Brian –
Dude this thing sucks so hard but in the best way
This thing sucked so much dirt out of my carpet and I had just vacuumed with my old Electrolux a week before I got this!! It’s so easy to use, my house smells better!
violeta –
Not worth it at all
Terrible! I can’t even vacuum my thin rugs without vacuum getting stuck. Also it’s very heavy to push! I was NOT expecting that. I’m so disappointed! Reviews made me get it and I got it only to be surprised how bad it is! I threw out the box and now stuck with this.
Glenn H. Cole –
Works great
Was a housewarming gift. She LOVES it. Gets her pet hair up easily. She’s very very happy with it.
Jessica F. –
Brought to replace an older shark.
So far, it’s great, as usual. I love the quality of all the shark products I’ve brought, this one is no different. It’s the size of a standard vacuum cleaner, it has decent cord length, and it has great suction, I have no complaints.
Rohith K. –
Impressive
This vacuum cleaner is exceptionally impressive. While slightly heavier than some models, its superior cleaning performance, leaving no dust residue, fully justifies its cost for consumers seeking a durable, long-lasting appliance.
S –
Arrived in timely manner, no damage, works great!
would buy from this seller again
Foehammer70 –
Great Suction Mediocre Ergonomics
This vacuum has great suction on floors and even better on carpets. The curved handle is ridiculous and makes getting into tight spaces almost impossible. The hose is much too small and every time I need to get down, say to vacuum under furniture or credenzas, the vacuum comes tumbling down on top of me or smashes to the ground. Definitely NOT a great design for the end user, but if it’s suction you’re looking for it has that in spades.
Brooker –
Great suctions
Great purchase. Was tired of buying 40 dollar vacuums that lasted 3 months. Worth the price. Does the job!
Martin Baker –
Worst vacuum I have ever bought.
This is by far the absolute worst purchase of my life. Do not buy this vacuum.
GUADALUPE LOPEZ –
Regret Purchase
I usually am happy with Shark, but this vacuum is downright disappointing. This machine deserves ZERO STARS. The cord is not as long as my old Shark’s. I”m constantly unplugging and plugging into another outlet as I move along the rooms. It doesn’t pick up everything. I fins bits of trash that it missed. And what is this no lighting on the machine? For $170, I expected a lot more. The return window has passed, so I am now stuck with a low-performing, over-priced machine. >:(

Roller brush
The roller brush suddenly stops working so not able to pick anything up.. was good before that
Keith A. Smith –
Vacuum
Totally love this vacuum. It has a great suction power. You can vacuum steps by holding the canister.
J. A. Brau –
Too powerful
The suction is too powerful, even with the suction relief dial turned all the way open. Way too hard to move on area rug and any carpeted room. Will have to return it.
Kcinc –
Used. Scratched up
Appeared new in Ad, showed up in second hand box , used and scratch ed up. Stay away from this one. Stalling on response and return. No refund yet
Sidon –
Powerful
I love this vacuum, its powerful.
Yanez –
Great vacuum power
Pro’s: *Sucking power. *Tools work great. *Vacuum power adjuster. Con’s: *Non existence of “ANY” length of hose. *When using brush tools vacuum continues to fall over because of non-exististing hose length. *Vacuum main head is very narrow/small. Only two places to hold three vacuum tools.
Carmella M. –
HATE IT
It’s a shame I used it or I would be returning it! Pro and there’s only one- the brush turns off Cons- the vacuum is heavy, hard to maneuver, feels very stiff, the suction is too much for me to vacuum area rugs, and it has a small cleaning path. Really dislike this vacuum!
