The media could not be loaded. I noticed a lot of the bad things people were saying in the reviews had been fixed. I was able to easily move it into tight spaces and it turned right and left! It cleaned my floor better than any other vacuum I’ve had. You do have to empty it every 1 or 2 uses so far. I’m guessing that will be less the more and more you use it. I have no problems getting it to stand on its own. The bottom of it you can detach and take it to the stairs. It makes it a lot easier than just carrying the whole vacuum and it just stands there for you. I love this vacuum. It was a great deal for such and amazing working cleaning machine!
We bought this after seeing multiple people say they had thick/ shag carpet and it worked well for them. Well that was not the case for us! The vacuum legitimately sucked in our carpet and would not move. So it was powerful but when you have thick/plush carpet, that doesn’t work. Therefore if you have very thick carpet, it likely won’t work for you either.

Don’t buy
It is very difficult to push vacuum on carpet. The brushes are too stiff and may damage my good wool carpet. If I hadn’t put the box in the garbage I would return it. It will stay in the closet.

Very impressed on how powerful this vacuum is for its weight and size. I vacuumed a rug that I had just used a Dyson stick vacuum on and the amount of dirt/dust this thing lifted was amazing (and gross). It also reached the edges of the carpet by the wall really well which is a huge plus. Easy to assemble, and maneuver. Highly recommend.

Um, is it supposed to be this hard to push?
I just rec’d ours, assembled it (super easy to snap together!), and couldn’t wait to try it! But is it just me? This vacuum is really hard to push! I adjusted the suction collar as instructed in the accompanying pamphlet. Double-checked everything. Still very stiff to push. This new vacuum replaced a previous Shark we had and were always pleased with…but yeah, big difference in ease of pushing! Not really happy about it. I like a good work-out, but this is a bit ridiculous Am I overlooking something????

Fantastic for the price with one minor drawback
Really great bang for your buck vacuum and it picks up A LOT of dust and dirt. The only drawback is that it very easily traps chunks of hair and dust in the collection tank. The chunks of hair dust and debris get pinned between the sides of the tank and the center pillar. I can usually shake them out in the trash without too much trouble but I’ve had to get in there with a chopstick a couple of times which is a little annoying.

If the way this vacuum operates is across the board- purchase this vacuum! I don’t even know if I’ve ever even written a product review before- that’s how inspiring this vacuum is. I have an elderly dog and just replaced the bedroom carpet so want to try to keep in the best condition possible. I could not believe the amount of dust, dirt and dog hair that this vacuum pulled up (truly a disgusting amount.) The suction was so strong in the areas where I am replacing carpet it almost pulled the carpet up. I should have taken a photo and uploaded. What I also love is that the bottom part is smaller than my other vacuum so I am picking it up less so it’s easier to maneuver. I cannot believe what a game changer this vacuum is- literally the air quality in my house is better after vacuuming that is how much dirt and pet hair my prior vacuum was not pulling in.

When receiving this item. The box for the vacuum was not seal in any way. When opening the box there was plastic that was just thrown in there all the pieces were just placed in the bottom and not wrapped in the plastic. Then when pulling out the dirt collector it was covered in dog hair and dust. Obviously used prior and just sent to me.

Fantastic Product!
So happy with this purchase. I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews but SO glad I went for it. I have 2 free roam bunnies and a dog, so the dander, hair, and dust is a real issue. This vacuum has amazing suck! The 1st time I used it I had to empty the basket after the first rug….and I’m a heavy cleaner (made me wonder how long my old vacuum had been broken before I realized). The cord is long, the mobile basket is super helpful in cleaning areas I couldn’t before, and the long handle helps me reach behind the couch and other crevices that gather dust.

Really like Shark products, just NOT this one
First the positive. It has good suction. Otherwise, it is bulky (does not get under things). The cord constantly gets in the way. Super hard to push over the carpet even when adjusting the tension to do so. I used it twice to see if I was crazy in my frustration, but I was NOT. I LOVE Shark products, just not this one.

It won’t move on carpet!!
Regardless of the rollbar setting (on, or off for bare floors), it takes tremendous force to move it on normal carpet. Right out of the box, so no clogs. I can see the rollbar spinning, so I know it works. Suction at minimal setting per instructions and cleaned out the cup. There is no height adjustment, which is a poor design. Sending it back and won’t buy this brand again.

Read the other 1-star reviews – they say it all. Here’s myshort version: I had a shark lift away for years and really liked it. I believe I got it at another at a store. So I when it died, I bought another shark. but the new one is awful 1. It falls over CONSTANTly. 2. The dust cup is ridiculous – it has to be emptied top and bottom. 3. No light 4. No baseboard suction 5. Accessories storage attachment – are they kidding? they fall off constantly! I found a small bag that would work to store them and the spare dust filters, but then the carpet function died, and now I have the spare parts, but no working vacuum. It will only do hard floors now. It cost like $180 and I’ve only had it for four months. But I hate the thing so bad, I’m gonna try to contact the company and ask for at least a partial refund. Good luck to me. If they do the right thing and send me a new vacuum I’m going to give it to my son for his rooms upstairs ordered.

Great for wood floors
I needed a vacuum that could turn off the beater bar for hard floors. This does a great job and is quite lightweight to push around. The cord is pretty long as well–it’s not auto-retractable, but it’s not that hard to wrap back up (would love an auto-retractable, though). It is not great on some of my rugs. It isn’t adjustable height for the floor, so it gets stuck on one of my rugs that isn’t even that high. On the other hand, it does great on a similar rug. So I can’t quite figure out why, but if I turn off the brush roll, I can push it over the rug. I had another one like this model for many years, and I primarily used it to vacuum the car. All in all, it’s a good vacuum for the hard floors, which is what I really needed.

I was very disappointed in the product. It is hard to handle, the air coming out of the vacuum cleaner will blow right into your face. The on/off button would be better up higher, easier to reach. Dust flies everywhere when emptying the container.

This shark is only good for flat pile or bare floors. Nowhere does it specify that. Not on the box or manual. I called shark customer service and was informed that I needed a stronger vacuum for med to thick pile carpet.

hard to use on plush carpet
I bought this due to having health issues and my old vacum was too heavy. This one is light weight and has lots of suction, but it is very hard to push. It would be great on hardwood floors, but has no level control on the carpet so it’s at one level whether it’s plush carpet or low. I can hardly push it across my plush carpet. Would return it, but my husband feels we shouldn’t since we tried to use it.

NOT The same “LIFT AWAY” won’t go under furniture!
ith our last 2 models of “Shark Navigator Lift Away” the canister lifted off and the power brush could go under the furniture. This new model only lifts off for use with hand tools. Also, the cord is set up for use left handed people (no offense to left handed people) but the cord is awys crossed in front of you to use it.We didn’t realive thay had changed to model this much. I didn’t realize they changed the name or I would have paid more for the correct model.

Worth it
So to answer some complaints from others– the cord is on the right, you have to be careful. Big deal . The vacuum power is terrific, just what I wanted. The suction adjuster works well enough to enable movement, but this is powerful. I used it right after my Old Hoover, and got a container full of dirt. The attachments work really well. The power cord was a little shorter, so I had to re-plug more. I love this vacuum. It’s head is smaller which is perfect for all the nooks around the furniture. Don’t be afraid, this thing is worth it.

Hate This Vacuum So Much
I have never been as disappointed in a vacuum as I am with this one. Having read so many favorable reviews I was eager to try this one out, but nothing about it has lived up to the hype. I have several deep pile large area rugs that other vacuums have handled easily. There is no setting on this one that works without multiple episodes of the red light coming on to indicate that the roller brush is no longer turning. It is also heavier than I expected based on the reviews. Another feature that I have come to hate is that the lower hose detaches at least once every time I use the vacuum. While it does fit easily under cabinet ledges, it somehow catches on them and pulls out the tube so that debris is then airborne – defeating the purpose of the vacuuming. The attachments do not stay in place on the caddy and so I also cannot get through a session without having to pick those up and put them back in place. The vacuum is also extremely loud. I honestly have never hated a vacuum as much as I do this one and it just gets more frustrating with every use as this is not a cheap item.

Purchased item described as ‘used like new’; parts missing upon arrival
The vacuum itself is excellent. I appreciate the opportunity to purchased used items from Amazon to keep perfectly operable items out of the waste stream. When I purchase items listed as ‘used like new’ I do not expect a brand new item, but I do expect a complete item. This vacuum arrived without the cleaning attachments. Unfortunately, Amazon customer service is not able to address this issue. I am pleased with the vacuum and will keep it; but I am disappointed with the misrepresentation of the item at time of purchase.

Would not buy again – Bad design and doesn’t last long
What a piece of junk! It was good at first – worked fine. But the design needs some more thought. It’s tip-heavy and tips over too easily. The hose is too short so if you don’t have the vacuum right next to you when hand vacuuming, it falls over. Also, the dirt cup is designed badly so things get caught in it on the various pieces of plastic and you have to remove them by hand or with a tool. And no brush attachment, which is the one I usually use most. After about 6 months, I hit the side of the vacuum on a corner (something I imagine many people do) and one of the plastic clips holding the dirt cup on just snapped off. They stick out too far. I have had the vacuum now for not even 3 years and the rotor brush has stopped working. I would never buy this thing again. It’s badly designed, bulky and hard to use, and not reliable.

It has a setting for wood floors so you can use it without the brush being engaged, strong suction, you can remove the canister from the base for ease of vacumning stairs, ceilings, etc. It has a top and bottom opening for emptying the debris in the canister, your hands will never touch that mess. Needed to replace existing vacuum. Didn’t want/need high end vacuum. This fits the bill. Works well, and reasonably priced. Note…does not have a front end lamp, which is not a issue for me. I have high density carpet, and little more effort to push, but not an issue. Would be nice if it gave you levels for carpet height, but doesn’t. Serves its purpose.

Can’t return AFTER Christmas?
First, annoying that it couldn’t be returned after Christmas since it was a gift, didn’t put it together till Jan 15…and absolutely HATE it 🙁 We have Sharks on every floor of our home, 3 plus a separate apartment and I typically LOVE Shark products. Second, the reasons I hate it. It is so awkward. It’s way heavier than other Sharks. Being heavy, but still cheap feeling? The buttons or latches are all on such weird places. The attachment pole I guess you call it is almost impossible to unlatch. It feels nothing like any of my other Sharks. It does suck good, BUT completely sucks up throw rugs even with the brush off. It’s way too top heavy when trying to use the attachments. It’s loud, bulky, and miserable to use. And I use to LOVE to vacuum. I’ll just have to go back to using all of my purple Sharks! If you have owned a Shark and are considering buying another to replace one, choose something else. This is the biggest disappointment with anything I think I have ever purchased.

If you plan to use this vacuum on wall to wall carpet, and you have a “pet proof” carpet pad under your carpet, PLEASE do yourself a favor and don’t buy this vacuum. Because of the non-permeable moisture barrier in the carpet pad, this vacuum with suck onto the carpet with such force that it takes a Herculean effort to move it. You will be drenched in sweat before you finish vacuuming. It has a suction release adjustment but it doesn’t help much. It needs a carpet height adjustment which it does not have. I used it once and back it goes.

A decent vacuum cleaner. Pros: easy to maneuver, easy to clean, picks up dog hair nicely, long cord, not heavy. Cons: difficult to clean under cabinets/furniture, need to go extra slow on carpet to ensure it actually picks up the dirt.

Impossible to access brush roller
Garbage product. Brush roller stopped working within one use. Need to buy special tools just to access brush roller and screws are purposely hidden so you just buy a new one. Hose is awkwardly shaped and short so not convenient to use.

I vacuumed my floors with my old vacuum yesterday knowing this would be here today. YESTERDAY. And this is what the shark pulled out! I am a neat freak and mom of 3. Let me tell you this vacuum gave me a cleaning b-ner.

I almost gave this 4 stars because my only complaint is that it is hard to push on the rug. The suction is so good it’s hard to move. But opening up the valve to reduce it helps. It’s a great vacuum for the proce

Horrible
This vacuum has a ton of suction and that’s about it. It is very difficult to move across carpet of all different thicknesses. I have used it, and now will try to return it. Do not buy, find something that has adjustable heights.

Loud and heavy
I’ve used Shark vacuums for years. I thought this would be the same quality, but I’m very disappointed. Maybe I should have done more research, but considering the price I thought it’d be better. 1. Kind of loud. Yes, it’s a vacuum, but sounds funny. 2. Suction quality wasn’t great 3. It feels awkward- in how it moves, the release of sections/dust bin 4. Doesn’t feel solid (for lack of a better way to describe it). Heavy, but plasticy. Hose flails around 5. Hard to push over some low area rugs that it should not have issue with If this were $100 cheaper, maybe. But it’s not and just doesn’t cut it.

Best vacuum!
I had a vacuum and I accidentally broke it. after much research, I bought the shark NV360. I vacuumed all my carpets and pulled out at least 4 pounds worth of dirt. This vacuum really sucks! I’d highly recommend this vacuum for long or shag carpet. It does the trick.
