The media could not be loaded. I noticed a lot of the bad things people were saying in the reviews had been fixed. I was able to easily move it into tight spaces and it turned right and left! It cleaned my floor better than any other vacuum I’ve had. You do have to empty it every 1 or 2 uses so far. I’m guessing that will be less the more and more you use it. I have no problems getting it to stand on its own. The bottom of it you can detach and take it to the stairs. It makes it a lot easier than just carrying the whole vacuum and it just stands there for you. I love this vacuum. It was a great deal for such and amazing working cleaning machine!
We bought this after seeing multiple people say they had thick/ shag carpet and it worked well for them. Well that was not the case for us! The vacuum legitimately sucked in our carpet and would not move. So it was powerful but when you have thick/plush carpet, that doesn’t work. Therefore if you have very thick carpet, it likely won’t work for you either.

All I can say is I’ve owned 3 Dyson vacuums and I bought this one for a reason and I’m glad I did. It works extremely well and the lift and carry option is really nice. It does vacuum a narrower track but it vacuums better at a fraction of the price over Dyson. I only wish I would have given Shark a try years ago.

Not as good as the 501
If ergonomics are your thing, and devices frequently have you shouting, “Who designed this?!?”, this is not the Shark for you. It’s not bad at actually vacuuming, but after having used the Shark 501 for several years, I am disappointed in so many small aspects of the 365. Cord length is 5’ shorter (this one is 25’, the 501 is 30’.) The wand is about 3” shorter. I am 5’6” and just barely have to stoop to reach the edge of the carpet/floorboard- but with back problems I noticed this instantly. The wand release is down below, versus the 501 where all the buttons are right on top. The max fill line is way lower than the 501. That may just be a visibility thing, but I filled it to max after only 1/3 of the way through my normal vacuum routine. To remove the bucket you have to bend over and release two catches. I actually appreciate that this means the bucket is tighter, buuuut- back problems. The ring to adjust suction power has no little prong like the 501- this requires much more grip strength to maneuver. The suction on this thing is fantastic. Unfortunately that means even with the suction power ring all the way open, it’s sucking up my kitchen rug. I was hoping for a lighter vacuum, but in reality the suction on a long-pile carpet is so strong this requires a LOT of effort to move. I’m a middle-aged wimp, and I cannot even imagine my 75 year old mother attempting to vacuum a long carpet with this. I don’t think she’d be able to. Where on earth do you store the pet wand? This thing was the main reason I bought this version, as we had one on my old Dyson and I really liked it. But it doesn’t work nearly as well as the Dyson one. I think I’ll continue to simply awkwardly drag the whole vacuum down the steps instead of using the lift away feature + pet wand on the carpeted stairs. I dislike how the attachments are stored on the wand. The 501 has them clipped to the bucket. I suppose it’s easier to grab and click them onto the wand if they are right there, but it makes the wand feel clunky and too large, and I worry I’ll knock them off. The almost-dealbreaker for me is the lower hose. It sticks out from the side and is just tall enough to catch on the bottom of the cupboards. The dishwasher is slightly lower and actually pulled the hose out. The bed frame did the same thing. This was the biggest thing that had me shouting “did they even test this?!l Again- it’s not a bad vacuum! It pulled up slightly more than my old 501 did- probably because it’s brand new. I did not notice any smell (Amazon is prompting me to comment on that.) I noticed that it did not kickback all the cat litter or popcorn seeds my kids drop like my old vacuum, which was a major annoyance of mine. It is a good value- if you’ve never had a shark before I think you’ll be impressed! It seems plenty durable. It’s light, I guess- lightness doesn’t really matter when it’s suctioned itself to the carpet, though. I do like how flat it can go. I see myself using this for a year or two, but in the future I’ll pay more attention to those little design aspects before I buy.

Elimination of internal flexible hoses (that broke on our last Shark). Easy to maneuver. Cons: (compared to our earlier Shark circa 4 years old) Shorter power cord. More complicated ‘lift away’ feature and dirt bin removal mechanism. Neutral: Fewer attachments included. Less stable (wants to tip over backwards). Harder to remove beater bar brush for cleaning out dog hair. Heavier than our earlier model. All in all, a compromise compared to our earlier model that failed due to a flex hose break that is impossible to access. Would I still buy? I’d like to have checked this out in a store to compare features to other Shark models, so maybe.

Replacement Sweeper
Our daughter bought my ife a Shark vacuum years ago and it was a great sweeper. Well, with age the cord had some worn insulation spots, and the floor power nozzle would no longer stay up when lifting it. It got to the point where the sweeper would stand on its own. So I bought this one after reading a number of the reviews, thinking that this one was similar to our old one. But the first thing she noticed was that it didn’t have a light on the floor nozzle which made it easier to see things that you might miss with the naked eye, and you can’t take the dust canister off to sweep under low furniture like a bed. On the old one, there were two settings for carpeting. For this one, you have to turn an adapter to allow more air into the wand part of the vacuum otherwise the drag is hard trying to sweep the carpeting. While the sweeper does a decent job of cleaning, it lacks the things our old one had, which lowers our rating and opinion of it.

I will say it is a little too heavy to be considered a portable vacuum but not too heavy for a regular vacuum. Easy to clean filters and empty the bin. Will be vacuuming again with it.

Leaves Deep Tracks
It certainly sucks up the dust and dirt, but its brushes and wheels leave deep tracks when going against my carpet’s grain. Built-in adjustment mechanism doesn’t do much. You’ll need to scrape your carpet with a snow shovel-like tool to smooth it out.

This is my Favorite vacuum. I used to use a bissell and it was a good vacuum, however I used my old one then went over it with this one and WOW!! The suction is strong and I know that my carpets are A LOT cleaner. This vacuum picked up twice if not more of what my other one did!!

It’s been 10 years today… This shark vacuum is still going strong
I decided to go ahead and write a review today because it’s been 10 years since I bought my shark vacuum cleaner and it is still going strong. This Vacuum cleaner works well on carpeted floors and the vacuum attachment with the pads are excellent for wood floors and other hard floor surfaces. After sanding down multiple rooms with wood floors and using the Shop-Vac, this vacuum cleaner continued to pick up the small particulate dust from completely refinishing my floors . The included filters are easy to clean, although I would suggest having a few extra on hand so that you can use your vacuum cleaner while the filters are drying. This vacuum cleaner is very well built. At one point my basement flooded and the vacuum sat in the water for several hours and still worked afterwards. The flood happened 3 years ago and the vacuum cleaner is still going strong. I love all the attachments that come with it, including a crevice tool, dusting tool and a small stair beater bar which is great for stairs, couches, and vacuuming out the car. The cord is decently long which makes cleaning easier. The crevice tool ol is extra long which is nice for reaching high and hard to get areas. The receptacle is extra large and you do not have to empty it often but when necessary it’s super easy to empty out! Buy this vacuum cleaner! You will not be disappointed and it will last you a good long time.

It is kind of on the heavy side but duable. The suction is amazing so that I am finding it hard to push on my very low pile area rug. I have basically turned the dial off for the suction and still kind of hard to push, but because it really is very powerful as far as suction goes, I will keep it. My vacuum worked wonderfully for ONE day. Four days after getting the vacuum, it stopped working. I had used it once. In the midst of me cleaning the second time, it wouldn’t turn back on. Don’t waste your money
First of all it is not easy to maneuver around it’s very hard to push, I literally break a sweat every time I vacuum. Second it doesn’t have good pickup. I am not confident my carpets are clean once I’m done vacuuming plus it takes me forever to vacuum a small apartment because it’s hard to push and I have to go over areas multiple times. I thought with it being a Shark product it would be good, but it was a waste of money.

Bulky, Heavy, and Disappointing-waste of money
This vacuum is incredibly heavy and bulky, making it a hassle to use. The mop attachment is so large that it can’t clean corners properly, which makes it useless for a home setting. It might work well in a large open space, but definitely not in a typical house. It also doesn’t work on area rugs, which is a huge letdown. Unfortunately, I used it and now can’t return it, but this has been a huge disappointment and a complete waste of money. Using it feels like a workout because of how heavy it is! Not recommended.

Cleans Exceptionally Well
This is the third Shark Navigator we have owned over the years and by far provides the best suction. It is amazing how much dust and dirt gets lifted from our carpets. We do miss having a lamp on the unit but can get by without it. The cord doesn’t seem to be as long as our last Shark vacuum, but again, this is something we can live with.

It really sucks!
This sucks like my Kirby but much more affordable. If you are interested in a vacuum that sucks this is the vacuum for you. This is a sucking good vacuum.
