I got this very specificly because it has the multiple rca connections and I am upgrading from an pioneer mvh-x36bt, I thought…. I installed this unit and was disappointed the more I listened to it. I previously installed and entire alpine speaker upgrade and have multiple amps and subs arrayed. This unit just made them sound horrible for mid range, it’s flat and I’ve tried everything. The subs rca are over powered I feel; knocking bass harder at low/mid volumes. Over all it’s not a bad radio I would recommened it but it wouldn’t be my first pick it’s more “flashy” than performing. Looks like I’ll be switching back to my MVH-x36bt, pioneer did that unit perfect in every way except including a rear channel rca.

Since Amazon removed questions and answers I bought 6 units to try. No manufacturer supply any infor,, just pictures. Anyway, Pro, Finally a unit that can change font colors. Sounds good Cons, Fonts, screen and scrolling is a joke. Verys 70s alarm clock like. The menu is more of a joke. the manual is a joke,, what is MIX TRAX and make it stop.. after a 10-15 second the screen begins scrolling, changing colors and and garbage.. Just stop,, no one cares about this junk. It sort of advertises all the features of the phone and i can not make it stop. My android connects, imported contacts but still can not make or receive a call. There is no fast way to find anything in your contacts via the radio. No mic, no search. just the volume knob can not see files/albums on a USB drive. you just have to click up and down forward and back. Volume knob is slick and if you turn it to fast it does not register. ex turn slow CW and volume goes up ~15, Turn it the same distance CC faster and it goes down 5. there are a multitude of other incredible cumbersome features but not worth wasting anymore time on it.. Good luck if you choose this unit,

The newer stereos seem to be without control over treble, mid, and bass. The only control you have with this unit is you can add bass. If you download the app there’s a few presets available. The app seems cumbersome, sometimes it connects and sometimes I have to restart the unit and app. So if you like getting in your car and messing with the app for a few minutes before you take off, you’re good.

Excellent for my Mazda 3 Sedán 2007
This pioneer double din radio is excellent for my Mazda 3 2007. I already suffered with other chinese radios. I would recomend this all the way. It is extremelly efficcient, modern and I love the app, you can change colors, audio, totally use everything from your phone (Iphone or Android) by connecting via bluetooth. The radio feels strong. The package was delivered on time, perfect conditions with no complains at all. Thanks again!

As others have said, the display is very dim. The key lights are seemingly too bright though. The radio itself functions pretty nicely and the Bluetooth connection isn’t quick, but it does hold the connection. The included mic works very well with not a lot of distortion mounted just above the rear view mirror. Wish the screen was a little brighter for my son’s car, but he seems way happier over the stick crap radio.

It died after 8 months
I loved this little stereo! It was easy to install, it worked. It worked consistently, the sound was great and I even got used to the app. It looked great & was functional in the ways I needed. Can you tell I’m heartbroken? Sadly, after 7 months it stopped connecting to my phone. I have tried everything. It just doesn’t work anymore. The radio does work, so I could use radio if I wanted. Unfortunately, I’m in a media desert and I don’t listen to country or gospel so I don’t use the radio. When I bought this, I read a handful of reviews that said it stopped working around 6 months. I can’t say I wasn’t warned, but I expected better. Much sad.

Not the actual “Pioneer” you may remember
This thing should be embarrassed to be called Pioneer. It is the same or worse as any $39 double din HU. Plasticky, not really double din but the “mini” size chassis. The display is not “hard to see in the sunlight” as many reviews say, it is basically too dim in any light to even really be used. The wiring harness is undersized, loosely connected wires, comically short lengths. It exudes cheapness in every aspect.

Exactly what my 05 Silverado needed. Sound improvement actually surprised me. Note : the aftermarket harness doesn’t support the radios power wire so you will have to tap into your AC unit for power. Very easy to do.

So far this radio, is great, for the price and kind of quality it has, its perfect. Might not be the top of the line but I’d say its close. I had a very easy installation, it fits perfectly in my 2004 silverado. I had bought new speakers before and they still sounded like garbage until I bought this and its like I got new speakers. Crazy stuff Only 4 stars because I’ve had it now for 5 hours.
