I bought this mostly because my kids leave the keys on in my tractor and I wanted to be repaired. I used it once about two days after I received it and it worked as expected. I recharged it and put it in its bag. A few weeks later I took it out to help my neighbor start his truck and it was dead, tried charging it but it will not charge it simple stays at the first red light and will not charge. I figured it wasn’t a big deal I’d reach out to the manufacturer and they will not respond to me. This company does not back their product and for that I will not support them and I will voice their issues to anyone who is looking for a jumper pack.

I didn’t know if I’d get to ever review this thing—but I couldn’t believe it but my son’s car battery died, ( and I believe it needs an alternator). However, I wanted to see if it would work on his car w/ me not even having charged the charger yet. I took it out of the box and guessed at how it worked and it FOR SURE started his car right up. We all cheered because it worked and we hadn’t even charged this thing yet. Also has a very good flashlight, and extra charging ports for devices, built in to it. My only neg; cables could have been longer.

Big enough to jump start my big Prius V 12 volt battery!
I initially ordered the Noco GB40 but that did not have enough voltage to jumpstart my very dead 9 year old battery. I called AutoZone to check on a replacement battery and the sales guy recommended I get the Novo GB70. I ordered it at 10:30 pm last night and had it by 8:30 am this morning. I fully charged it and 2 hours later, my car started right away with this jumper. I was able to drive it to AutoZone and they installed a new battery. As a 75 year old single woman, this is a great tool to have in emergencies. The only thing that I see as a negative, is that the cables that connect to the battery terminals, are rather short and difficult to attach and hold the unit at the same time. Also, how they are placed on the unit is a bit odd. I did manage to connect it and position it so that I could read and access the control buttons.

I was skeptical so I asked around and people said they do work. So I bought one in case of a camping emergency. It has been years since I have had a dead battery. Well the week it arrived I had a call from a friend could I give him a jump. I said great a chance to test it. It worked perfectly. 2 days later my girlfriend’s car did not start. It worked again. I bought this in January of 2021 and have helped so many people with it. Fortunately, I’ve only ever had to use it on myself once. But the convenience of having it when someone needs a jump, as well as the safety mechanism to prevent damage makes it easily the best thing I’ve bought for my car. Everyone asks about it and I recommend it all the time. The perfect white elephant gift! Seriously, it’s been 3 years and works like a charm and still my favorite purchase. This has been working well so far. Only time will tell how it holds up after a few years. I have a BeatIt branded one that was cheaper and still works relatively well after 4 years, but it does not hold the charge as long as I’d like so I bought this to keep in my truck and will keep the Beatit unit in our smaller car. I am dinging this one a star due to not coming with a protective case, and the protective case you have to buy for it is far too large. The cheaper Beatit jump starter included an EVA case that is actually form fitting and smaller despite the NOCO unit itself being smaller.

Functional and Capable, but get the right USB cables for accessories
Robust design and very capable. Was surprised the power and accessory connections are USB-Micro and USB-A. Majority of devices have converted to USB-C (Even Apple) so you will need to dig out some old cables or order new ones for the kit. Would prefer a rigid case like a different brand we own versus everything flopping in a bag.

We give it 4.5 stars. We have used it about 8-10 times. Only had to charge the unit only 3 times so far. You can get a good 4 or 5 starts before you need to recharge the unit. Have used it when the car battery is slightly low enough (less than 11 volts) as well as mostly drained less than 4 volts. It works every time. However, if your car battery is drained (example: less than 4 volts) the starter will not recognize the battery and you must press the override button in order to start the car. We are happy with our purchase. Reason it did not get 5 stars; the battery clamps are difficult for a female (wife/daughter) to open them with one hand, she has to use both hands in order to squeeze the clamp onto the battery posts.

My battery was completely drained. I fully charged this pack and then connected it and bam. Truck started right up no issues. Fairly straight forward to use and very compacted and easy to store in my truck. Would recommend to have one of these.

Didn’t jump start my car
I followed the instructions, but it didn’t work to jump start my car. I waited the 30 seconds to try it and it didn’t work. I then left it charging for 5 minutes and it still didn’t work. I then disconnected it, then connected a booster car and that did the trick. This product didn’t work at all for me.

My 1997 F-150 developed an electrical short after I paid for a botch camera installation; now the short empties my battery, and the charger failed to jump the battery repeatedly. I’ve jumped successfully using another vehicle and jump cables.

It worked when the Napa jump-starter failed
I have a 1000 amp Napa Jump-Starter that I bought several months ago, “just in case”. I hadn’t yet used it, but plugged it in every month to keep it charged. My Jeep battery was dead a few days ago. I pressed the battery button on the Napa jump-starter and it only lit up one red despite the fact that I had “charged” it mid-September. I looked at the manual and it said to charge for 24-36 hours, so I charged it for nearly 48 hours. In the meantime I ordered this Noco lithium jump-starter as a back-up. After charging the Napa jump-starter, it still only lit up one red light, but I attempted to jump my Jeep anyway to make sure. Nothing happened. 🙁 I then hooked up the freshly charged Noco and my Jeep started right up!! My Napa jump-starter is still under warranty, so I’ll be returning that one. Noco Boost Plus for ease of use and peace of mind!!! Thank you!!

Too long to explain every detail but used it shortly after purchase, and it wouldn’t recharge, so I sent the unit to be replaced. Same thing with second unit – got one use out of it and wouldn’t recharge. Didn’t bother sending it back and would not trust this in an emergency.

I love this little guy. Be warned though. IT WILL NOT CHARGE YOUR BATTERY IF IT’S FULLY DEAD. I couldn’t get it to charge at all with a fully dead battery. Other than that I’ve not even fixed my alternator because this thing is so reliable. I’ve used it hundreds of times since last October when I bought it. I have a 4 cylinder Hyundai and I rarely charge it. It can handle probably 30 jumps with very minimal cranking. It will drain it if you have to crank multiple times for more than a few second.

I bought the GB 40 on Aug 26, 2022. It will not hold a charge. I used it 4 times over the 2 years. Two weeks ago I charged it and used it once. Today it needed to be fully recharged. The unit did not operate for 20 starts over the two years as advertised. Each time I take a trip I fully charge it but this time a week later it was “empty” when I was in a remote area.

I bought the 1k model for $100. Looks high quality and it should work great as a back up for my motorcycle and Jeep adventures. I used it once to test it on an old battery and it worked well. Time will tell if it is worth the extra cost but I like the quality of the unit. It comes with everything needed to use straight out of the box.

Micro USB is a joke in 2024
Coworker lent me their NOCO Boost when my car was dead in the office parking lot. I was using jumper cables, but for whatever reason I wasn’t getting enough power from a donor vehicle. The NOCO worked instantly at half charge with no fuss, and it was completely intuitive to use. I bought it immediately. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the description and discovered that this is an older model with a Micro USB port. USB C has been available for a decade at this point; spend the extra $20 and get the model that can charge itself and your devices at up to 60W and doesn’t have a connector that will break and fail after only a couple years. Even cheap Chinese electronics come with USB-C chargers.
