I was a little nervous to try to jumpstart my car on my own, but I was tired of calling roadside assistance every time I left my car unused for a few too many days. I have a little Ford C-Max Hybrid so I was worried jumpstarting it might harm the electric battery somehow. I’ve used it a few times now and I works really well. One annoying thing though is that auto-safety never deactivates when I connect my car, so I have to manual override it, which makes me scared every time haha. Other was it works as expected. I always have it in my car ready just in case. It doesn’t take up much space, and hold its charge for a really long time. The instructions are clear and the jumpstart is very fast.

If my car sits too long, something is draining the battery. I’ve had it looked at by two mechanics and they didn’t know why. I did have a new battery installed by the first mechanic. Used three times, then tried the next day after because of continuing car issues and the damned thing has self-discharged a single cell in the pack to 2.2v; this is a junk product apparently that isn’t capable of keeping its cells balanced properly. 2.2v, 3.7, 4.2v? Who designed this junk circuit?

Turned out there was a major glitch with electronics and the car had to be towed BUT I was so impressed at portability and use of this device we ended up buying one soon after. Don’t waste your time! These things are COMPLETE GARBAGE! I’ll start by saying I’ve ordered 2 of these now. The first one came, I charged it up, put it in the truck ready for use. That time came 2 weeks later, pulled it out (fully charged, never been used) this piece of garbage couldn’t EVEN turn over the engine of a car with a dead battery. Disconnect Ted it, turned it off, tried again, nothing. Now the battery on this unit was COMPLETELY DEAD. After two attempts to Jumpstart a vehicle within 5 minutes. Okay, things happen in the world, it’s possible to get a bad unit. Contacted Amazon for a replacement. They sent one right out, just got it a couple of days ago, unboxed it, put it on the charger to get it all set to go. 12 hours later, lowest red bar is still slow flashing like it is charging, but battery shows zero charged. I’m DONE. These units are obviously trash that cannot be relied upon in an emergency. Glad I found out now instead of dead of winter, stranded somewhere. Bought this less then a year ago and used it maybe 6 times. Now it won’t charge and makes a crackling sound when it’s plugged in. Only red light flashes. Unit is kept in perfect condition in original packaging and still failed. No warranty from manufacturer or Amazon. This sucks.
