I didn’t even know these things existed until my husband, myself, and our few days old baby had found our selves in a situation. My husband truck battery gave out in the middle of us driving. We had to pull over and call for help. Our friend was 45 minutes away and no one was willing to stop and help us (understandable, today’s world is crazy). As a new mom and having a very young baby, as well as it being the middle of the summer in the south this was my worst nightmare. Someone saw us and pulled over to help. They pull out this thing and our truck started up immediately. He told us about this device and how it has came in handy hundreds of times. You charge the device like you’d charge your phone and then let it hang out in your car until you need to use it. I honestly didn’t believe this tiny device would be able to power anything up. But sure enough it has started my husbands truck several times and my car. Honestly this thing is a car must have. When Needed Most, Worked Like A Charm
We purchased the NOCO Boost Plus GB40 1000A UltraSafe Car Battery Jump Starter almost on a whim. We ordered it on a Monday, got it on Tuesday, and used it on Saturday. The interesting part is that it wasn’t even on our own car! That Saturday afternoon, we encountered a young man with a dead car battery and nearly dead (not NOCO Boost Plus) jump starter. After asking if we could help, my husband put the cables on the dead battery, turned on the NOCO Boost Plus Jump Starter, waited for it to cycle, and instructed the young man to try to start the car. It started immediately! It was serendipitous that we just happened to buy the Jump Starter and that it was needed almost immediately after purchase. One of our better spur-of-the-moment purchases!

I left the lights on in my daughter’s car and I am dumb. Glad we got there out of the way. Order this, charged overnight and did nothing to start the car, not even dash lights. Less than tryig to jump from my personal car. I bought 2, neither work and waste of $200. The battery in the car isn’t more than 4 days old. Yes it’s dead and will get on a charger when possible but this is not the solution.

I wasn’t sure I wanted to spend $100 on a jump starter that I may never need. But when it arrived and I started getting familiar with it, I was genuinely glad I’d spent the money. I just got my new Tacoma and spent four days in the woods with my wife. I hadn’t bought this unit yet and was super-conscious of how long the lights were on, how much juice we were using. Because we had gone out there alone and hadn’t seen any other travelers for hours. Getting stranded out of cell range for a considerable amount of time had me pretty anxious. I vowed to get this unit once we got back. Now that I have it and can see the quality of the wiring, the durability of the unit and the ease of use, I’m fully prepared to recommend this to everyone. I haven’t actually used it yet, but if the initial quality is any indicator, it is going to do the job just fine. What I also like that I wasn’t aware of is that it also has a USB output. So if my Jackery and back-up batteries for my gear run out, this unit can be used as a power source as well. I love any gear that has multiple uses. Overall, this is a great product.

Warranty is only 1 year
The good news is I have not required a jump start from this device since my purchase in 2022. The bad news is when I recently attempted to charge this device, the battery is defective. To my surprise, the warranty is only 12 months and I have a defective device that I actually never used. I cannot justify paying the NOCO premium price for a replacement if the life expectancy is only 12 months.

I’ve had this a year, and finally used it to give a guy driving a Mustang a jump. Very simple to use, much safer for your electrical system than jump cables between cars, takes up less space than jumper cables. The Mustang started right away. Barely drained the battery in this device. It is nice to have for yourself, but also to help other people in a pinch.

A MUST HAVE
I have to admit, I was terrified to use this when my battery died, but after watching a YouTube video, I charged up the charger, gathered up my courage and went out to the garage and popped the hood. My car is a 1985 Porsche 928S, with the battery in the back of the car. Fortunately, there are positive & negative posts in the front passenger side of the V-8 engine. I attached the clamps on the posts in the proper order, pushed the button and went around to start up the car. It fired up IMMEDIATELY! I disconnected the clamps and the car kept running fine. I am SOOOO thrilled to have this little charger which my mechanic recommended to me after waiting an hour and a half for roadside assistance to come out to jump the car last time. I now keep it in the car, which I don’t drive very often. (Which is why the battery needs a jump a few times a year.) Another feature that I am glad to have is it’s built-in flashlight – PLUS I can use it to charge my phone and laptop in the event of a power failure. Best $100 I’ve spent in a long time!!

I was at the gas station the other day(Kroger) so you know it was packed, a older man was telling a young woman that he would try to maneuver his truck to get jumper cables close to jump her off. I heard this and said hold up I have something I bought a while back that I have not had a chance to use so I pulled out my small convenient battery jumper and said let’s try this. The man said if that works I’m getting one and it did exactly what it was supposed to do cranked her car right up. Now my wife wants one for both vehicles. Amazing power in a portable unit
My car battery was dead and my cousin suggested I buy a slow charger. I started reading reviews and realized that I needed something to jump start my car asap. I chose the Noco boost and it is everything I could wish for. First of all, I received it about 4 hours after I ordered it. The instructions were good and the best part is it won’t turn on if you put the cables on the wrong terminals. I have never jumped a car before and this product made it easy. Being an older woman, I was concerned about finding a product that I could use. The handles of the cables are a little tough for me to open, but that is due to an old hand injury. Bonus, it has ports to charge electronic devices, too. Everyone who has seen it is super impressed that it is so small and work so well.

I am a 48-year-old female who’s never jumped a car in my entire life. I had to watch a video first to figure out where the clamps connect and verify I wouldn’t blow myself up in the process. Fast forward to my 2007 mini van dying in the driveway. Here was the pudding, but would there be proof? Let’s just say I did a happy dance within 2 minutes. Here’s how it went: 1. Charge battery pack to 100% and ensure it’s green light ready. 2. Open hood of vehicle and locate the battery. 3. For extra safety, connect clamps FIRST separate from the pack. Red to red, black to the other one. THEN insert/connect main clamp wire to the battery pack. 4. Turn on battery pack and let the charging lights chase each other for at least 30 seconds. (If you’ve connected anything wrong, it won’t work and a red warning light will come on indicating you did it incorrectly.) 5. Crank your vehicle and yell YESSSSSSS!!!!! 6. Do the happy dance before turning the pack off. Disconnect main wire, then clamps. 7. Google says let your vehicle run from 15 to 30 minutes to recharge the car battery. I’m super impressed with how fast, easy, and reliable this little thing works! And I’m very proud of myself.☺️

We did not expect that our car battery would die and one of the mechanic has one and recommended the brand. First we did the cable with another car and it did not help. Word of Caution
Good device but just so no one else makes the same mistake: it does not charge your battery. The heading “Portable Charger” mislead us to believe it was a charger for your car battery, which is what we were looking for. After 30 years, ours had a bit of an accident and needed to be replaced. This does not charge your battery, it just jump starts it. I guess “portable charger” referred to its ability to charge your phone? Just a warning. It’s not a bad thing to have, but if you’re looking for an overnight charging device this isn’t it.

ALLIGATOR CLIP LENGTH… SAFE MODE
I have (3) three of these & experienced (2) two issues. 1) The distance between the alligator clips can be too short to reach the positive terminal & an engine hanger or block. They will only reach the length between the battery terminals which works for the Jeep & my f-150 but NOT my wife’s Honda Pilot which the negative terminal is covered. 2) There is a safety feature that requires an override when the battery is dead… um, this is the most likely scenario which makes it challenging when a novice non-mechanical driver, eg wife & teen son tries to jump a car.
