It was a trick getting the holder set in place with my phone in the position I wanted it. That did work for many months, then the base broke from my six-year-old passenger trying to climb over it. It was not very durable, so I won’t buy another one.
The base does not rotate, so its hard to index in between the rubber flapped cup holders. Biggest drawback is the vibration. Hard to glance at and read . I like the size just, not the vibration moments in the arm. Price point is good

It worked great for a while but then started to loosen its grip. It kept getting loose until finally the plastic U bar broke. It’s basically one plastic piece holding on to another with a pivot knob holding it together. Way too expensive for the amount of time it lasted

Shaking is minimal
the structure is very sturdy and it doesn’t vibrate excessively while driving. Anyone who claims these things don’t shake, has never used one. This one is all right and I will rebuy it. It has good padding on the prongs that secure the base into the cup holder. For its price, I would recommend it.

This multiple adjustable cell phone holder is close to perfect. Fits in console cup holders and adjusts and tightens securely . The articulated arms allow positioning the phone for viewing. On rough roads the mount does shake but not on most roads. Also installed one in wife’s car. Our state is “hands free, do not touch cell phone while driving “ but both vehicles pair with cell phones. You could use phone in the mount.

It’s functional but the release button is awkwardly placed and needs to pinched in both sides so you need to do a yoga in maneuver just to get the phone out everytime. The release button should be in back so it can be pressed with one finger like other models.

It doesn’t pop out of my cup holder. It fits in my cup holder. It’s very easy to setup and (if I wanted to) remove. The phone is VERY secure when placed in the holder. It doesn’t rattle or shake (except VERY minimally, which is what you’d expect when you drive over bumps in the road, but just normal driving it holds the phone very steady). It’s not in the way of my gear shifter or any other controls. It puts my phone at the perfect height where I can see the directions that I need without needing to look down very far and yet the phone (and holder) do not block my view of the road at all. I truly cannot find anything to complain about it except that it does take up a cup holder so if I had another person in the car with a drink (which is rare, for me) it would be in the way, but (again) even that isn’t too much because it is SO easy to take out and put back in!

Useful item for rental cars …
Rather than learn the rental car GPS system (which can be aggravating and time-consuming – not a good thing for vacation!) – toting this along and plopping it in the rental car makes it so much easier to use your phone’s travel/road apps (to which you already are accustomed). In the past, the AC vent holder brackets seemed to do the trick – but now more often don’t. I wouldn’t cart this along for any rental trip – but i did take it to Scotland for a two week driving trip and it was really worth doing.
