good until it dies a slow death
the MAX 360 saved me from a few laser traps during its first 3 years. then the display slowly got dimmer over a period of six months. eventually all illumination (buttons and directional LEDs went out. I was able to use with just audio since I was familiar with the sounds. fully died after 5 years of service. I have a Escort Passport Max2 that still works fine after 8 years. I feel like the 360 was rushed to market after the valentine patent expired. At least my device was. I regret buying it as soon as it came out. I’ve never had a modern product die like this. It was like watching a planned obsolescence death in real time. Makes me hesitant to purchase another Escort.

four different Cops on both Auto and highway mode the escort never triggered anything. This is supposed to be ready right out of the box I’m in Texas I don’t k own if that matters but don’t recommend it. In the second picture I’m following close behind a cop trying all the settings.

Dash Cam is terrible
If you are looking for a radar detector, the Escort is good. However, in my opinion the M2 dash cam is terrible. 1) Trying to assemble and mount it with old, not nimble fingers is difficult. 2) The memory card filled up after three days of running errands. I was hoping to use it on a cross country trip. 3) It is loud and I cannot find out how to adjust the volume even after reading the manual multiple times. Watch out for the warning that the memory card is full-every couple of minutes. 4) For that matter, why do I need to hear every time a new recording loop is started? 5) I thought I might be able to clear memory card using the phone app. No luck, had to connect the dash cam to my PC. That requires un-mounting then remounting on the windshield.

This radar works well… but registration is impossible and online support has not been able to fix and now I was driving the vehicle and looked over and the radar was dead. Will not power back up and I have only been using this for less than 60 days. Amazon sending a new cord as a known issue… not very confident at this point.

I had so much expectation because other reviews and internet searched results says this is a better brand. Of course it has be for the bucks you pay. right ?. Before I completely switching my old cheap Uniden with Escort , I wanted to do a comparison so I tested both of them while driving. it shocked me totally by experiencing what a waste of money for this escort max 360 is. my old cheap one pick up cops right in front of me, but Escort acted like there was no cops. that was shocking. then I kept testing these two one at a time. my finding is Dont buy this. This trigger for KA band when Cops are closer. by the time this picks up the frequency, you will have a higher probability you will be late to react. Then I bought Uniden R8, while having this Escort. I must say I love Uniden R8. it picks up everything from very far. performance is amazing. I would invest money on something realistic for the bucks I pay. I give 3 stars here, because Escort works but it won’t give you Wow experience.

It’s stop detecting after 6 months
I’ve had this product for 8 months now, worked great for 6 months then all of a sudden it has stopped detecting radar and when it does it’s not even accurate anymore. It will “detect” it but the radar is coming from the front of me and it says it’s coming from behind. Overall I expected something better if I’m paying almost $600 for a product. I recommend not getting this product.

I’m 6 days out of the 30 day warranty and having to call ESCORT to try and figure out why the SOUND is not working. They tell me I need to ship it back so they can fix it. I paid almost 600 bucks and this was the 1st week I used it. Not happy

The Escort MAX 360 MKII radar detector is physically larger and heavier than the Escort iX it’s replacing. It’s difficult to tell if the range is indeed 50% greater than the older detector. I will say that a sturdy mount is necessary. I have a mechanical mount attached to the rear-view mirror and it visibly wiggles a lot compared to the lighter and smaller Escort iX.

I feel like this radar is spot on and will even show the distance to where law enforcement is checking speed. The install is so easy and the mounting is very strong. The only downfall is the price. I would suggest purchasing a double cigarette lighter device so you still have another one handy. Highly recommended so much that I bought one for myself recently.

I have had this radar since July 2022. The screen is already starting to not work with some of the lettering being not as bright. (Think of fast food signs when lettering isn’t as bright as others or just goes completely out) The radar has started giving me a lot of false alarms when I am not near any cops. This alarm will continue to keep alerting until I unplug the radar and plug it back in. Once I plug it back in the alarm goes away even though I am in the same area it was going crazy on before unplugging. I called Escort customer service and the only options they give is a $150 or $200 repair option! They tell me they do believe there is something wrong my unit and this is the only way to fix it. So, I spent $560 on a radar in July 2022 and now it requires a $150 repair, ha! Please dont waste your time on this product and company. I should have stuck with valentine.

Don’t waste your money go with a cheaper model from passport. The reins on the stock it gives you the wrong direction of the radar and has several other things. I’m not crazy about. Unfortunately I didn’t learn this until after the return Period.

I finally decided to make the plunge from my cheap Detector and spend $500 and get this device when I tell you that this thing just gives false readings it’s crazy for the price I paid. it’s always claiming that there’s a KA band reading but it’s a Toyota Honda in front of me and it’s just going off for a long time until I pass the car for what I paid. Very disappointed.

Es mejor Waze y no hay que pagar. Las señales auditivas que emite son muy malas, no se entiende lo que dice y más si en vehículo está en movimiento. Además el costo es demasiado alto para lo que detecta, he visto en funcionamiento detectores mucho más económicos y hacen mejor la función. No lo recomiendo

Lasted less than 2 months, Buy Uniden
Less than 2 months in the GPS failed. Called and set up an RMA but they make you pay for the shipping. Wrote a review on Escort’s website and it was deleted. Just buy a Uniden, when this one worked it was so slow to respond to radar.

Always a good product
Have had many, this is the best. I don’t mount on the windshild just use a sticky pad in dash corner. Some of my old ones overheat if car is parked, seems to happen when they get years old. Others I’ve had the top metal buttons rattle. H this new one is perfect.

I’ve owned a couple of Escort Radar detectors and the one I as using died on me so I decided to try this one because it is a bit cheaper than the latest models. Ran the FW updates on the Mac detector tools app. I actually like the size and the mount worked nicely in my SUV. The State police have been patrolling the city over the last few months and I was near them several times but never heard an alert. It’s possible they weren’t running their radar but seriously doubtful. The older model always went off when they were near. Also the BT would not connect after the first couple of drives. I just can’t trust it. Returned it to buy one of the newer models.

Falls off the mounting hardware continuously
The media could not be loaded. It seems to detect radar just fine. But as you drive and the car vibrates, the detector falls off of the mounting hardware and hits the dashboard. You can’t easily re-mount it without stopping the car and pulling over. On a recent 6-hour road trip, the detector fell off about 8 or more times. It spends more time on the dashboard than it does on the window mount. That being said, it still seems to detect radar even though it’s lying on the dashboard.
