I followed the instructions, turning on the car and keeping it on because the battery is for starting only. Nothing worked. Later I found that it had blown both the cigarette and 12 v plugs. Returned the same day.

Died after a dozen uses
Bought this to be able to use laptop or heating pad in the car; teens get tight muscles sometimes and games are more than an hour away sometimes. Worked great the first dozen or so times and much quieter than my old cup holder unit. This one died while using the heating pad one day, maybe only the 15th use of the inverter about 6 months into owning it. Also fried the heating pad which was only two months old; they are both dead even though the heating pad was well under the range of power needed per both device labels/specs.
