This generator is underrated and outperforms anything out there. It takes care of all my work needs and I don’t have to worry if it’s going to handle the load. The fit and finish are great and its easy to transport. I recommend this to anyone looking for an easy-to-use generator.
specifications were unclear, but reviewers indicated the remote start capability was included. When unit received the 12v battery bay was empty and no remote fob included. Apparently this variant is pull-start only. Not sure yet if they can add kit with capability or if I need to return the entire unit – but working directly with Westinghouse to address.

Using the 4000DFc generator to power my horse trailer’s living quarters. Runs the 13.5k ac fine and no issues so far running the rest of the trailer. Using it to run blowers and fans too. So far it has been great and a handy tool to have.

This came via UPS. My son helped me put fresh gasoline and oil in it. We pressed the start button and it started right up but after a minute it just shuts off. We have called support and are having a very hard time getting a technician on the phone.

Okay, But…..
I opened the box and went to start the generator, the choke was loose. The nut that holds it to the faceplate came off or was never attached. I was able to open it up and fix it as opposed to sending it back. I should have sent it back, but I didn’t. I needed it at the time. But after using it for a while, it seems to be nice and quiet and does what I needed it to do.

After some research and reviews I settled on the Westinghouse Igen5000Fcv to power my travel trailer. It was delivered within a few days. Everything comes in box. Poured in oil hooked it to LP 3 pulls running. Plug up trailer it powers everything 25% ac, 50% microwave, 25% fridge. It’s super quiet don’t wait to much plus has a handle and wheels. Looking forward to many trips and having plenty of power.

we live in Florida with the threat of hurricanes and power outages so we thought it was a good idea to get a generator. We finally decided after much research on the Westinghouse and couldn’t be more pleased. Easy to set up easy to use and love the remote start. It’s quiet , it is easy to move around with the handle, and because my husband is handicapped, I can do it on my own . I’m not looking forward to using it, but we have it if we need it.

We camp and boondocks with our hard sided camper and always hear everyone else’s generator that were so loud it was impossible to sleep. Did a lot of research and landed on this one. I was a bit skeptical it would be quiet but was pleasantly surprised. Suuuuuper quiet. It is not completely quiet. You can hear a gently humming from it. We placed it on the side with no sleepers and could not hear nothing. Really…nothing. We could have left on the sleeper side but our friend is very sensitive to noise. She had no problems sleeping. This generator had no problems keeping up with our AC compressor either. And so many feature and outlets. We look forward to using this often. Just wish others generators were this quiet :/ You will not regret buying this.

This product is VERY quiet for the size. You can stand over it and have a conversation while it’s running. I’m talking about normal voice level; not yelling. Seems well made. Easy pull start; I’m sure a smaller man/woman could start it easily.

Simply doesn’t work
A beautiful sophisticated piece of plastic. I received promptly, went on a trip And when tried to use at my return it didn’t work. It turns on one out of 20 times meaning, it will never work when I need. Talked to customer service who said they will provide a certified mechanic to resolve the problem or they will exchange the product. Here I am waiting on the phone for someone to give me a solution. I spent $$$ to have a generator, not a problem.

This is definitely a step up from my old job site generator. The portability allows me to use it at the shed on a regular basis and still depend on it for back up power for my home in case of an outage. The dual fuel option is great in emergencies, you have the option to use what’s available.

Expect more from this brand
I have the 4500 watt version of this generator. This one is a lot louder and it floods the generator when you pour fuel into it. Have to fuel an hour before use so raw fuel that runs out the bottom dissipates. Then it will start. I’m currently using it in an emergency situation and will pull it apart to find why it leaks fuel when fueling. Until then I’m working with this failure.

Unboxed and set up, fired right up, much more quiet than our gas generator. Have only used the gas fuel source, have not used propane yet. Easy to read and understand gauges, is larger than I thought but easy to move with integrated collapsible handle. It was missing the secure strap for the battery (for remote start) but customer service was fast to send a replacement.

I was looking for: electric start, dual fuel, 3500kw, fairly portable, and under $1,000.00. With this one putting out 4,000kw, I get a little more head room – and for $800.00. The unit was packaged well. The directions were written by someone who’s first language is not English, but were not difficult to understand. I have not run it on propane yet, but with gas it started right up. I am confident it will power the sump pump and freezers during a power outage. The reason I wanted dual fuel is because propane is very stable, and safe to store for years as backup fuel.

Easy start quiet dual fuel generator
Got tired of the Texas power outages and hurricanes and after scrolling thorough all of the different generators and reviews, I ordered the Westinghouse iGen4500DFc. Due to the high demand after Hurricane Beryl, Amazon delivered the iGen5000DFC in it’s place. The Start-Up Guide is well written and very easy to follow. Crankcase oil is supplied and a special funnel is included to cut down on spills and waste. The electric start is a very nice feature and includes a remote switch which will probably be the first thing misplaced, although the control panel push button is big and easy to see, however it also started right up with just one pull on the starter rope. Very pleased with the quality of this generator.

Pretty Quiet
We bought this unit to use with LP. Product came well boxed with LP regulator and attachment. It started initially with a few pulls. After that it started quickly with the push button start and the remote. It did run sensitive electronics with no problem. It has a floating neutral which trips an in-line GFCI. Some people buy a neutral ground bonding plug to address this. It is quieter than my previous inverter generator (Kipor) though you will need to step away from the unit to have a conversation. Overall, with all of the features and the price we like this generator very much!

Feature Rich and Runs Gread
We already have a smaller generator from another manufacturer that runs well. But this Westinghouse unit is a cut above. Everything from the electric start, to the display panel, to the length of the LPG hose, to the oil filler funnel with a threaded end and o-ring, makes me smile. It starts easily on LPG and runs smoothly and quietly. Definitely worth every penny.
