This never detected a single patrol vehicle but it did detect red light cameras (on a highway where there was not a traffic light in a 50 plus mile radius). I also tested this detector with my brothers patrol vehicle having him turn the speed radar in his cop car on and off with my car next his. This radar detector never made a single noise to warn any type of radar was detected. Don’t waste your time or money purchasing this product. I returned this product on February 21st (the returned item was received by the company per the tracking number) and I am still waiting for my refund of $307.

This is a darn good buy!! We’re going to buy one for our kids!!

The description of extreme range is extremely accurate. Thus far after two weeks usage it has detected KA band radars 2 to 3 miles away on freeway. In the city it has detected radars blocks away and out of sight. Incredibly pleased.

Had a Escort for about 4 years which I had no complaints about except the fact that it would lag when getting readings. This radar detector picks up everything effortlessly. You can even pick different sounds for different detections which makes it more customizable for each person.

I bought this detector for a cross-country drive from Florida to California. It performed brilliantly, identifying every speed trap along the way in plenty of time for me to adjust my driving accordingly. It also alerted me to speed and red light cameras. In short, it more than paid for itself in saved tickets. It does give false hits on the K band (especially within city limits), but that’s to be expected from any detector. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Very disappointing… I spent twice as much on this detector as I did my last one and the performance is arguably even worse. I’ve put on more than 6,000 mostly highway miles using this detector now and not once has it given a useful warning. It’s constantly going off with false alarms but every single time I pass a cop it either doesn’t detect a signal at all or detects a signal way too late once the cop car is well within visual range. I’ve passed dozens and dozens of cops and this is always the case. I’ve tried this using every setting and eventually turned on every single signal type and STILL no useful warnings. Waze is a free app that works 10x better than this radar detector. Don’t waste your money…

Saving me $$. Works very well, around corners especially. Get Ka alerts long before I see them.

This thing is wicked. Saves me from… Ya know.. Helps me stay under the speed limit and alerts me of emergency personnel. This is my first radar detector and I was really worried about how complex they are and how to set them up. But it was really easy. I watched the YouTube video. I really didn’t have to change many settings. Pretty much work great right out of the box. Definitely a great first radar detector.
