Oh, and I do have pets.

It got lost (I thought!)
When I finally got it paired to my phone and wifi, it showed “Rooms” on the App. One of the Rooms was Kitchen. I told it clean the Kitchen. It made haphazard movements around the Kitchen and then decided to go into the laundry room, the master bedroom, the master bathroom, back to the Kitchen, then into the dining room, then into the living room, and then back to the charger. And all of that time it cleaned where it roamed but it didn’t clean ALL of any room it went into! The battery was fully charged so I don’t know why it went back to the charger. Maybe it’s brain is fried. Or maybe the Laser is done broke. Or maybe it only has one eye! Maybe it’s mentally-challenged! I shall let it rest overnight and we shall see what happens in the morrow. It does actually sweep up junk on the floor so there is that! UPDATE (ONE day later!): lol, it seems I was the incompetent one! I started to wonder if having a RENEWED model might mean something. And it did. I believe the renewed model KEPT the picture, the layout, of the OLD kitchen from the previous owners! So, when I told it to clean the kitchen, it was cleaning the previous layout of the owners (and they must have had a big kitchen!) I didn’t know that I had to CLEAR OUT the old rooms and have it EXPLORE its new home! Now I get it. It’s cleaning as I write and doing an excellent job! The only thing necessary to do is sweep the crumbs and crud out from underneath cabinets and appliances out into the open so it can do its job. It cannot get the edges. That’s okay. Madonna doesn’t suck! (They allow you to name it, so I named it Madonna)

It’s noisy, but it basically works but check your wifi before you order.
I liked the fact that I can just push a button and it will vacuum the house. It fits underneath stuff that is about 5-6 inches tall, like chairs and such. However, it’s noisy on a hardwood floor. So, when you’re downstairs (it’s used upstairs) it sounds almost like someone is roller skating up there. Also, it gets lost if it tries to go over something that is nearly too big for it and the wheels spin. I have yet to have it properly return to it’s home base. So I generally just turn it on, go find it a couple of hours later where it will be alarmed and stopped and put it back on the dock where it will dump it’s contents. Also, it only uses the 2.4 gHz band for wifi, so if you’re like me and only have 5.0 gHz wifi, you can’t program it.

The media could not be loaded. This vacuum has features that I really like! Control thru the app so I can start it from anywhere or make a schedule, an audible signal to help find it when it sometimes gets stuck under a bed or in a corner, mapping is easy and I can select which rooms I want cleaned, messages if there is a problem (like if it sucks up a dryer sheet, oops). We refer to the vacuum as Rosie (the housekeeper from the cartoon The Jetsons) This is the best robot vacuum we’ve ever had! It’s working great and I’m so glad we bought it!

100% Defective unit shipped
This unit was 100% defective. Would not power up at all. Called Shark tech support. They had me try a few diagnostic things before they concluding the unit was a total dud. What I didn’t like it that inside the box was the Return Authorization slip form from the last purchaser who bought it and returned it. Clearly the unit was resold to me without even opening the box since the last person returned it…..zero refurbishment. When buying a refurbished unit I presumed the unit is tested, repaired and given clean bill of health before being resold. Apparently this is not the case.
