The Good, the Bad, and the Product: An In-Depth Review
The vacuum in question has garnered some positive feedback from users who appreciate its functionality and the convenience it offers. Notably, a user named J Jones found the mapping feature of the vacuum to be incredibly efficient, allowing for the labeling and selective cleaning of rooms via an app. This level of automation, combined with the ability to schedule cleaning sessions, provides a significant convenience factor. Users like Kevin Toomey have observed an impressive amount of pet hair collection, attributing this to the device’s advanced navigation capabilities, such as LiDAR mapping. This technology is praised for its precision in navigating around furniture and other obstacles.
The product seems to be relatively quiet, as noted by Taylor Carthas, and is effective on a variety of surfaces including hardwood, tile, and low-profile area rugs, according to Chester H. Leckner. The absence of tangled hair in the brushes is a unique selling point mentioned by deweyduo, which can be particularly beneficial for homes with pets. The device’s self-emptying feature, despite being noisy, is a highlight for some customers, eliminating the need for frequent manual intervention.
Furthermore, for individuals with mobility issues or those who simply detest vacuuming, like Chris D., the robot vacuum offers a hands-off approach to maintaining clean floors. The ease of removing and cleaning the dust bin, as mentioned by Susan H., and the aesthetic of neat carpet lines left behind add to the appeal of the vacuum.
However, the product also has its fair share of criticism, with a number of users reporting significant drawbacks. A common complaint, highlighted by Amanda Lipesky, is the vacuum’s inefficiency on carpet and its inability to effectively handle pet hair. This suggests that the product may not be suitable for homes with pets or those with carpeted floors.
The longevity and durability of the vacuum have been questioned by users like rich, who experienced a breakdown of the unit shortly after the warranty expired and faced challenges with the lack of available replacement parts or repair services. Similarly, patioelf’s experience with a unit that failed to charge and self-empty, despite its high cost, points to reliability issues. Additionally, issues with the device’s software and Wi-Fi connectivity, as described by Sumit@AWS and other users, seem to hinder the full utilization of the product’s smart features, which is a significant downside for a technology-oriented device.
Furthermore, customers like David C. have raised concerns about the product’s lifespan, indicating that the vacuum may not last as long as expected. Others, such as Stephani Perriman and Shelby Loftin, have encountered quality control issues, including receiving units that were previously used or malfunctioned after a brief period of satisfactory performance. User deweyduo’s frustration with the product’s multiple filters, the app’s lack of error notifications, frequent errors, and the high maintenance demands echo the sentiment of unreliability and inconvenience.
In summary, while the vacuum has features that are praised by some, such as its mapping and cleaning abilities, the overall sentiment from users indicates that the product may struggle with pet hair, carpets, and reliability over time, which could be potential deal-breakers for prospective buyers.

Don’t waste your money on this one.
Don’t waste your hard earned money on this shark vacuum/mop. I’ve had nothing but problems with the app trying to communicate with this worthless piece of plastic. I work 6 -10 hour long days and tried to give myself some sort of a break by purchasing this mop. Now I’m stressed and overworked because of this piece of worthless plastic that will not work through the app. App controls only!

This vacuum is just OK.
This vacuum is… ok. I’ve been using it for a few months now. Here are my impressions. The good: – It rarely gets stuck – The mapping is pretty decent with the app – It does mop and vacuum The bad/mediocre: – It doesn’t refill the mopping solution, I get one mop out of a fill, so I have to refill it every day. – It can’t switch between mopping and vacuuming. If the mop pad is on, it mops. If it’s off, it vacuums – The suction isn’t nearly as good as my old iRobot I could have possibly found some of this out with more digging but the ad mislead me to think it could work for 30 days without daily intervention. It also took a lot of searching for me to even figure out how to get it to vacuum once I installed the mop pad. With the mop pad on, it won’t go on any area you have labeled as carpet in the app. I can manage with these two issues but I certainly wish it had more suction. I still find myself doing occasional vacuuming and mopping with my conventional equipment to keep things clean. This just helps prolong those intervals. I’m assuming I could spend a LOT more money and get something that addresses these issues but this will work for now.

Horrible and not worth the money
Sooo disappointed. This 2n1 is a total Joke. I have been a shark customer for years and have other vacuums from them. But this mop was moping my carpet. It couldn’t figure out what to mop and what to vacuum.

Works Great… Plus Some More
Does the job. And the application for the floor cleaner has additions to make it work even better – you can customize the map it uses to clean the floor to add or subtract specific places like over area rugs and avoid going under the bed…

Love it!! But don’t buy with mop attachment.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars it’s because I wish I had bought the regular vacum only shark. The mop is not worth it. It makes a mess and is too small to make a difference. I took mop pads out and have been using only th vacuum. I love the vacum. It keeps us from having so much dog hair all over the place. My dog sheds constantly. I don’t know I we lived before we bought this vacuum.

2 in 1 Shark
I ordered “like new” and although you could see it was used it still performed as it should. It just needed to be wiped down and cleaned and it was good as new. Shark 2 in 1 beats the iRobot 100%. You can use it as vacuum and mop or vacuum only. We leave it as vacuum only during the week and change to vac and mop on the weekends. Unfortunately you cannot use the self clean option with the vac and mop attachment.

2 in one vacuum
Too difficult to put together. It’s been sitting in a closet, waiting for someone to put it together for me, a long time. I gave it a 1 because I haven’t used it yet n don’t know how well it will work.

Must refill mop after each use.
Mopping is more like just like sliding a Swiffer mop on the floor lightly in one direction. Setup was super broken, took 2 hours because it kept failing to setup and had to be factory reset twice during. Vacuuming is decent, and it’s not loud, and it does a nice pattern on the carpet, but if you leave the mop on it won’t clean carpeted rooms at all, you have to manually remove the mop, and it has to be refilled after each use.

Not worth the $
Not with the price. First unit broke after 1 year. Customer service is good and replaced it. The mop on the new replacement stopped working after 2 uses! They are sending me another replacement mop. I have a $150 robot vacuum/mop at another house that works better than this brand.
