The media could not be loaded. I noticed a lot of the bad things people were saying in the reviews had been fixed. I was able to easily move it into tight spaces and it turned right and left! It cleaned my floor better than any other vacuum I’ve had. You do have to empty it every 1 or 2 uses so far. I’m guessing that will be less the more and more you use it. I have no problems getting it to stand on its own. The bottom of it you can detach and take it to the stairs. It makes it a lot easier than just carrying the whole vacuum and it just stands there for you. I love this vacuum. It was a great deal for such and amazing working cleaning machine!
We bought this after seeing multiple people say they had thick/ shag carpet and it worked well for them. Well that was not the case for us! The vacuum legitimately sucked in our carpet and would not move. So it was powerful but when you have thick/plush carpet, that doesn’t work. Therefore if you have very thick carpet, it likely won’t work for you either.

The vacuum does not work on rugs the suction too strong. I adjusted suction controls and could not push on rug. What kind of vacuum does only floors. Certainly not a good one. I expect entire cost return for vacuum that does not work. The entire experience and time involved not acceptable.

This is the 2nd one of this model I’ve had. The 1st lasted 15 LONG years, through 3 homes, a German Shepherd and cats!!! The 1st one still works, but one wheel comes off and a couple of little pieces of plastic are broken. We keep it in the garage now for cleaning the cars. This new one is a much loved upgrade. The ability for it to swivel and the cannister lift-away are great options!!! Great for carpet, area rugs, hard floors and furniture!!! And the price can’t be beat!!!

You won’t find a better vacuum at this price range. You can spend $1,000 on a vacuum and it’ll be worth it, but for the price, this machine is top of the line. I like a cordless for daily use on hard floors, but I use this one for carpeted areas and you’d be shocked and appalled how much it picks up.

Horrible Design
Unbelievable how poorly this thing is designed. Clearly no one from Shark actually uses the equipment they sell (or they simply don’t care). First, it’s top heavy. It’s natural state is to fall over whenever you touch it. To use the hose, you have to detach the U-shaped handle. Then you’re constantly fighting against the arch in the hose, and you have to have one hand on the unit or it will come crashing into you when you move the least little bit. To have any reach whatsoever you have to unwind the cord to use the extended pipe in the handle. You can also remove from the base for more stability, but WHY?!?!?!. I mean, who designed this thing?!?!!? And how did it ever reach the market? AVOID this product!

Nice, but hair gets stuck on roller
Not sure if any design would be better, but hair gets caught on the roller very easily. The other thing i dont like is how the accessories are stored – they are not very secure at all and are knocked off easily during use, and I’m surprised at how poorly designed that part is. But it performs pretty well otherwise. The buttons are easy to control, the power is good and its not too hard to clean out.

I gave this four stars because had many Dyson Vacuum’s the reason for buying them was because I was so tired of buying a new vacuum every year. I saw so many good reviews and thought I would give this a try. I have some pluses and minuses for this vacuum. The pluses are it is very lightweight and does have very good suction power. I was very impressed with the amount of dirt that it got out of my carpets and floor even after I vacuumed with my Dyson. Very impressive. On the negative side the cord is very short. So I just use an extension cord. I find MC in the canister a little more difficult than the Dyson and it doesn’t hold as much as it looks like it would. Also as your vacuuming the two attachments that come with it fall off as your vacuuming continuously. That is very irritating. There’s no point in having an attachment to hold your attachments if it doesn’t even hold onto them. But I would recommend it because it does work very well. But you’re just gonna have to grab your attachments and not bother hooking them onto the pathetic attachment holder. All in all, I think it’s a very good vacuum. I just hope it lasts. i’d also like to add that it really is great for the stairs.

This vacuum picked up hair and dirt that my previous one had left behind. I never even knew the dirt was there until I used the Shark Navigator. It is a bit messy to detach the canister for something like usage on a stairs or to use the floor attachment for things like throw rugs, but you figure it out pretty quickly.

We loved this vacuum for the last 2 years. However, the hose just broke. I thought sharks were supposed to be reputable and meant to last at least 5 years. The vacuum is typically used on only one floor of our house and it’s bare floor. So it hasn’t been used excessively. Hoping Shark can make this right somehow! Stopped working after only three months
I bought this vacuum exactly three months ago. I’ve probably used it only fifteen times, mostly because I started noticing loss of suction and an unpleasant burning smell coming off of it. Just now it sputtered and completely died while in use. Of course the return window is now closed. I will never but another Shark product again. Complete waste of money.

I’ve had this vacuum for a few months now. I’m using it in a small space, an RV so it isn’t getting worked very hard but it’s really not up to the task. As others said, it tips over extremely easy, which is very annoying, and it easily clogs and loses suction. It has two settings, for bare floors and carpet, but the bare floor one does nothing so I use the carpet setting all the time. I’m def not happy with it and wish I had kept my old vacuum

This works really well could be a little bigger, but it does do good with it suctioning and the tools are nice. It is a basic vacuum and it works well. It doesn’t seem to be too heavy and it’s very easy to assemble so far the dealer bill is holding up. My house with my husband, it gets tested lol

I am sooo happy with this vacuum. I have owned and used most brands and this is my favorite for many reasons. I am kind of rough on my vacuums I have not had any belt problems, or clogging. It is easy to maneuver around and under furniture. Strong suction, works well on both carpet and bare floors. The handle and the canister detaches, making stairs furniture, ceilings, easier to clean. I specifically asked if this could be used for carpets. It does not! It grabs the carpet, which is not even high pile, and sucks it up. I didn’t a fancy vacuum for my luxury vinyl floors. Shocked at how incredible this vacuum is. We have gone through three cordless vacuums (big name brand and off name brand) in the past few years and I was just so sick and tired of them not performing. I also take very good care of all of our appliances and make sure to clean filters and change them out when necessary. Finally I just decided to order this Shark Vacuum. I knew it had a cord but I didn’t want to pay four times the amount for another cordless vacuum. The power this thing has is unmatched. I vacuum almost every day but when I tell you the dirt and dust this baby picked up off our carpet (stairs included) I was disgusted but also excited that this vacuum exceeded my expectations. Such a great value. It is taller than the cordless vacuums I’ve had in the past but that almost makes it easier to maneuver. You can have the roller on or off depending on what you’re vacuuming. I love the attachments and the cord is a great length to allow for a wide range of vacuuming. This thing is a beast and very durable – you can tell it will last. Just buy the vacuum!

This thing SUCKS
Does it do the job well? Yeah! Was it designed by a man who never vacuumed before in his life? YOU GOT IT! Listen, it does the job well, its design is poorly executed. Going from an older navigator series with the one handed push button to remove the canister to a dial latch setup is lazy engineering. The cord is another story. Why the cord wraps up the detachable tube versus the hooks strictly on the body is a fail. Need the vacuum up a quick, isolated mess like spilt popcorn? You can’t just unravel a few windings of the cord and go about business, you need to undo the whole cord. It’s 2024, time for auto retractors. If bissell can do it (and never had one fail) shark can do it as well.
