I read the reviews and decided to still get the product. Just like the other reviews said this product was noisy which i didn’t mind. It also was a problem connecting to the wifi. I called tech support and got it done. But the 1 problem i had that wasn’t expecting was with the charging. I set it to vacuum every other day but it died after 1 hour of cleaning although it was docked for almost 48 hours. I will pay attention to the charging and return it if that happens again.

Really Substandard
This is my 4th robot vacuum and it is the worst. On the plus side, it is very quiet. However, whenever it runs into any obstacle, it stops and requires a human to push the Clean button on the top to resume. At first, I thought it’s brushes were clogged. They were a bit furry – I have a dog. I cleaned them and sent it off. It kept dying under my bed. I thought that it’s battery had an amazingly short life, but after several recharge-and-try-agains, I tried again, blocking off the places to get under my bed. It would get further around the room, but it would still die after a minutes. It would restart after I pushed the button, so the battery was fine. It just kept dying. Tonight, in the time that I have restarted the Roomba at least 7 times, the Shark downstairs has been cruising along without complaint.

Keeps getting stuck
We got this to replace the 692 after the battery terminals burnt out. This one doesn’t pick up as much dirt and constantly gets stuck so we have to “babysit” it to turn it back on constantly, defeating the purpose of an automatic vacuum. The lined movement was supposed to be a perk compared to the random movement of the 692, but it’s not worth it.

I have had this iRobot vacuum since October of 2024. It has performed better than I thought it would! It gets the cat litter that spills from box and cat’s feet, and also does pretty good with dog hair and cat hair. Does it get absolutely everything? No, but it does do well for the cost and size and, it isn’t loud enough to annoy me too. The vacuum is also good at navigating around our home too, but the battery gets down to 30% before it docks itself. So if you have a home larger than 1000 square foot (I do not use it on the second floor of our home) I’m not sure the battery will last that long. Overall, I am very happy with the cost and my purchase!

Not up to par of the original one – super disappointed
I am so frustrated and disappointed in this product. I don’t know if it’s broken or just annoying. It makes kind of these knocking sounds and it gets clogged really easily (with pet hair) and not that easy to manually clean/dump. I had the hardest time getting it to dumb. The area where it cleans on the robot is narrower and smaller than the original one I had. I wish I had read the description notice it needs a stupid bag too. One more thing in this trash/consumer society to buy but I guess I can get reusable. Really wish I had gone with my gut and gotten the Shark. I liked my old Roomba and had it about 4 years until it started making a awful sound. I also thought it was supposed to have mapping capabilities??? But there’s no map on my app.

It does it’s job but I wish the battery lasted longer. It cannot climb onto the carpet. It does not MAP so I can tell it where to go or not go. It gets tangled up in cords and other things.

I stinking LOVE this thing! I have been using iroombas for years, and with two shedding dogs I often needed to clean it out three times a week. This thing is hands off, and so strong! This is the worst thing I have ever ordered from Amazon. I actually ordered 2. My mother is 90 years old and technically challenged. This thing is a bust. We are sending both back. Not so smart
I had a super smart Roomba for years that stopped sucking up dirt recently so I purchased this one. This one is ok, my complaints are it doesn’t have smart mapping so you can’t map off to have it do specific sections. Also, it doesn’t make it back to the base to charge and dies so I have to carry it to charge.

Pretty bad
Got it a couple of days and had very little to go right. Plugged it in, charged it and started first room and it seemed okay. It went to another room and just started to vacuumung and then it just left. Tried again in and it wouldn’t do anything. It just left again. I reset the map using the 3-button control, but when it started again, it skipped the hallway. Also, in one room, it got hung up so I picked it up and set it back down. But then, instead of continuing vertical tracks, it started going diagonally. Also, check your connection, if you don’t have 2.4 ghz band with this model, you’ll probably not be able to connect to it fully and your phone app won’t be able to control anything except empty bin and start vacuuming.

Not Smart
This robot will start out ok, but after a few minutes, it just keeps vacuuming the same strip of floor over and over again. It also has trouble maneuvering around furniture. If it hits an obstacle, it does not go around it, it just vacuums the small area between behind the obstacle over and over, can not find it’s way around it (Chair) It’s so frustrating that I end up pulling out the big vacuum and doing it myself quicker and more efficiently. This is my second Rumba. The first one worked very well

So disappointed in this roomba. I had one that finally gave up and this one doesn’t do anything. It can’t go over scatter rugs, it has no handle like my old one did so you could pick it up and redirect it — if you do point it to where you want it to go, it just turns around the other way…. and I couldn’t even get the app to install all the way through. Getting rid of this one.

WHERE’S THE HANDLE?
This replaced a 7-year-old model 692 which served us well. After reviewing options, the 694 appeared to be the best option based on our needs and price constraints. We were surprised to see it does an even better job on our combo of wood / carpet flooring. This model has been around long enough for the bugs to have been worked out of it and we didn’t need a bunch of mopping, self-emptying, etc options. The only thing we don’t like about the 694 is… Where’s the handle??? The handle on the 692 made it so much easier to move around. Aside from the lack of a handle, the 694 performs beyond expectations and we highly recommend it.
