The rubber casing is disintegrating on all sides even though it was stored in cool, dark closet. I would not buy again or recommend to others. Sure radio works but there are probably better options.

I actually found this product again because I’m looking to purchase another emergency radio. This one was great out of the box. However, after less than six months, the solar light just would not go off. It stays on constantly and drains the battery. After less than a year, both the knobs on the front fell off not even with aggressive use. This was made, but not made very well. Disappointed.

SOS button broken
Just received this and of course, I’m trying everything out. I push the SOS button and it won’t shut off. Nothing works, not even holding the button down. We have to use a toothpick to take the silicone part of the button off to get it to stop. Now the silicone piece won’t go back on and the SOS alarm doesn’t work. Everything else is good but disappointing for a brand new purchase.

Open the box and make sure it’s not damaged
I purchased this product after a major hurricane to be prepared in the future. I placed the box on my shelf and forgot about it for some time and opened it recently to find the volume and tuning buttons broken off. There’s a lot of dried glue I’ve been trying to clear to get the buttons re-seated but unfortunately they’re not reattaching.

Speaker doesn’t work propery.
Product seems pretty good except for the sound quality of the speaker. It sounds like the speaker was blown when I turned it on for the first time. So much static and vibration noise that it is nearly impossible to hear music and voice. The sound quality on the review videos are much clearer than the radio I received. My wife purchased this for me two months ago as a Chrstmas gift and the return window closed a month ago, so I am out of luck on getting it replaced.

I’ve been raving about this product. As soon as I discovered it I bought 3. One for each of our car and one for the house. A severe storm hit and we suffered an extended power outage. However, I was so proud to have a solution to the problem of no electricity. It was great for providing light and for charging my phone- until itself lost charge. Couldn’t find any radio stations on either AM or FM for emergency notifications by the way. So! We tried charging this device after it lost battery power using the hand crank and it was a no go. Either that or you have to crank for a long long time. Disappointed….

I tried this once and the light is very bright and has a few settings. There is an alarm button that is VERY loud!! and it took forever to figure out how to shut it off. radio works nicely havent charged via solar yet but will try.

Hand Crank didn’t work.
This radio is crap. I tried for a long time to charge the battery with the hand crank and it did nothing. The radio tuning knob was too touchy. It was very hard to keep a channel tuned in. The little piece that holds the antenna down when it is not extended fell off. One good thing was that the flashlight was very bright. I returned it.

I have tried over a week to charge the battery with the solar panel, and it hasn’t worked. I put the unit on a south facing window all day for over a week. A waist of my money and I suggest you do not buy one.

My kids go camping all the time and I didn’t read much into this but flash light, camping, radio and was like “great gift!” Kid got it out, started trying to figure it out, so I was also there trying to figure it out with him. This thing makes outgoing calls! I hit SOS thinking it was going to flash SOS with the flashlight – nope, called someone. Idk who, just panicked and said sorry and pressed 90 buttons to turn it off. My family will forever laugh at me. Still really cool, but new rule is never press SOS to try it out.
