I would say spend the extra money. This radar works great and it is very accurate. It shows you if it is coming from in front of you or behind you. It will tell you to slow down if you go one mile over the speed limit. It will tell you if there is a speed camera coming up. The suction to the window works great too. I’m glad I bought this radar.

Good overall at K-Band, but LiDar is Quickly Making these Obsolete
I purchased this two months ago and have used it running all over the highways of Oklahoma. As far as what it does well–it’ll detect the heck out of K-Band. It will also let you know there’s K-Band every time you drive near a hospital with an x-ray machine. It does have some features to lock those out, but unfortunately, a corridor I run a lot has a lot of speed traps and a lot of medical facilities. I’ve learned since purchasing this that a lot of law enforcement agencies are switching to LiDar, and by my understanding, if you get a notification of LiDar, either you have some kind of error or it’s probably too late. Our city’s PD is running a lot of LiDar now, and I’d assume that’s probably true with a lot of departments. As far as mounting it, the cord is a little short for some cars. It worked fine in my BMW, but I traded it in and bought a Tesla Y. The included cable will reach the jack in the center console, but it might need a small extension to reach. I did keep the thing and I am solving the issue of the too-short cable by having a custom shop install a Blendmount to hang it from my rear view mirror. They’ll be running a custom power cable by splicing into the rear view mirror’s electrical–probably not something you’d want to try at home. I don’t love the app they switched to. It doesn’t seem like anyone really uses it. I can’t say I’ve ever once received a notification on the app that someone else left. I get that they’re trying to create some residual income, but everyone is using Waze or Apple Maps. Stop trying to make Fetch happen, Escort. Also, the app will plot false alarms on the map and that’s not super helpful if someone else is actually looking at it. Still, as negative as all of that sounds, 4/5*. It does what it’s supposed to. The software is hinky but optional.

Just got my 360 MK2 and the screen doesn’t work whenever it’s plugged in I changed the setting of brightness to max and nothing I tried the app and still nothing idk if I’m doing something wrong or I just got a faulty screen. Just got my 360 MK2 and the screen doesn’t work whenever it’s plugged in I changed the setting of brightness to max and nothing I tried the app and still nothing idk if I’m doing something wrong or I just got a faulty screen. Horrible product- Doesn’t work with a Mac and have to purchase extra wires for operation
If you have a Mac, forget it. You will get a screen of errors for trying to update the firmware after pulling this out of the box. The customer service at Escort is very limited, and the device doesn’t come with all of the parts needed for this device. In order to attempt to update the firmware to the current version a certain USB is required to plug into one’s computer. Not just any micro USB will work, contrary to what the directions state. This wire is not included in the box, and good luck finding one quickly. Once you are able to locate the correct wire and plug your device in, if you’re using a Mac you will get a screen of constant errors and update failures. So, now your computer may not be adequate either. Good Luck!!

The media could not be loaded. Insult to injury, I just missed the return window by three days!!! I don’t know if the problem is with the radar detector itself or the cord, but it looks like I’m stuck with this unless the seller sees this and offers me an olive branch

Doesn’t work at all, tried on 3 cars!
I had high hopes for the ESCORT Max 360 Laser Radar Detector, but I’m extremely disappointed. I tried it on three different cars, and it didn’t power on in any of them. The user manual is no help at all—it doesn’t provide any troubleshooting tips or guidance on how to fix this issue. For something this expensive, I expected it to work right out of the box. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone, especially given the lack of support and unclear instructions.

I have the Uniden 7 and Radenso also (we have a lot of cars). This is my favorite overall. The range is perfect, it beeps when it should, and is small. The hardwire piece is convenient and works well. I love the arrows to show what direction the radar is coming from; the radenso would be my second choice if it had the direction arrows. The Uniden has the best range, but beeps too much, and the mute button doesn’t work well.

Escort builds a solid and aesthetically pleasing radar detector so if you wants looks and feel then this is a perfect detector BUT if you want one that actually picks up Ka band then you need to buy elsewhere. I did a side by side with a 15+ year detector that worked significantly better in picking up police radar. Do not recommend based on my results.

Very few if any false alerts
Had the Max 3 2 years b4 upgrading to have the arrows. Good range and response time.. Love the arrows. Has saved me some tickets for sure and love the very low to almost no false alerts. But u have to know ir settings. I have x band turned off. In town and short runs I keep it on lonok. It learns the areas u drive. Quiet ride unless their is LE running radar. Mostly Ka around here. Some places in small towns do run K band. I would recommend if want something between 4-$500 with the low false alerts and arrows.

This is the quietest radar detector I have ever owned. I replaced an Escort Passport that is a few years old. It worked fine except it was just the opposite of quiet. My wife hated riding with me and hearing the constant “K Band” warning, which is usually not police radar. The Escort MAX 360 MKII is so quiet that I thought it may not be working at all. I called Escort and talked to one of their customer service technicians and told him of my concerns. He suggested we reset it to the factory default settings and walked me through the steps. If there was an issue and I don’t know if there was, it seems to have fixed it. I get occasional K band alerts and get the Ka band when a police car is running their radar. The arrows are great. After having them I would never own another detector without arrows. It has picked up the Ka radar about 1-2 miles prior to seeing the police car. I’m very happy with this detector and Escort brand. The Passport saved me several times and I expect this one with outdo it.

I’ve done quite a bit of traveling over Last 3 months with this radar detector. Is it quiet? Maybe too quite, the radar detector goes into sleep mode, and give you a insecurity if it detecting. Range for me is not good. I don’t have a peace of mind with this radar. The speaker is not clear.

Worth EVERY Penny
I’ve had decent radar detectors ever since I became a nurse and could afford good ones! I don’t get them TO speed, I just get them to stop getting caught up in a DELIBERATE SPEED TRAP! The one issue I always had with the likes of my Escort Passport 9500, and my Escort Passport Solo, was the when driving, I had no idea if the Radar was 1 mile in front of me, or 1 mile behind me! Now with the Escort MAX 360 MKII, I know EXACTLY where it is! If it’s in front, the up arrow lights-up! If it’s behind me the down arrow lights-up! It really works, it’s already saved me darn near the cost of the Escort MAX 360 MKII. It sticks to the window great! But The mount is pure GENIUS! Just lift the front up, and pull down lightly on the unit, and it’s off! The magnet + plastic-lip system is amazing! They should win an award for just that!

Defective But Repaired
For years, I have always been a fan of Escort radars. I’ve owned several. Upon receipt of the item, I tested it out immediately and noticed that the directional arrows were not functional. It was only pointing forward. I decided to test it out for a couple more weeks. I even called Escort to troubleshoot. Eventually, I ended up sending it in for repair. It is now currently working.

Not worth the money
Purchased (what I thought would be a great detector to replace an older one) as a gift for my husband on our 26th wedding anniversary. Upgraded the software as directed, however, it still displayed the wrong speed limit and didn’t give notice until last second. He got stopped for speeding yesterday for the first time in over 5 years (using the other detector). Also, it wouldn’t connect via Bluetooth as indicated.

Best detector out of any I’ve used or my friends have!!
This radar detector I’ve been using now for over 6 months, this thing works amazing!! It gets quieter as I used it and still beeps less and less as it learns locations, it’s caught signals up to a mile away with police traveling towards me so basically 2 miles!! The only issue I can see is that once in awhile it loses connection with the app as I have it opened in the background so then doesn’t show speed limit on the detector screen but easily can get it reconnected by either going back to the app or reopening the drive smarter app, I use Waze paired with it as more users use Waze than the drive smarter app, but between the detector and Waze it’s pretty tough to get caught! I’d buy this again in a heart beat! My buddy is going to also buy one now as he’s seen how ell mine works compared to his cheaper unit.the arrows are great as you know where the alert is coming from and if it’s what you thought it was or not or multiple alerts in same area as arrows will change as you drive past what’s causing the alerts. If you want a great detector then look no further as this thing is phenomenal!! It’s going on my motorcycle very shortly also….just wish the app had a setting that could send the beep alerts through your phone so the beep could go through speakers when on a motorcycle or louder vehicle, it will send spoken alerts through phone but that is t the same as the beep that most are used to. Overall I can’t complain one bit about it! Get one and enjoy your piece of mind! Ps: I bought mine on Black Friday sale…..

good until it dies a slow death
the MAX 360 saved me from a few laser traps during its first 3 years. then the display slowly got dimmer over a period of six months. eventually all illumination (buttons and directional LEDs went out. I was able to use with just audio since I was familiar with the sounds. fully died after 5 years of service. I have a Escort Passport Max2 that still works fine after 8 years. I feel like the 360 was rushed to market after the valentine patent expired. At least my device was. I regret buying it as soon as it came out. I’ve never had a modern product die like this. It was like watching a planned obsolescence death in real time. Makes me hesitant to purchase another Escort.
