I thought the mechanism to hold the phone was motorized/automatic, but it utilizes gravity to keep your phone in. This of course means if you hit a hard enough bump it will send you phone flying. Also the charging stopped working about 1.5 months in, too late to return.

There is a high pitch whine that comes from the device when the charger is not in use. Also, the wireless charge connection is fickle with an iphone 14 in a thin case (works fine on other wireless chargers).

Purchased this for holding my phone to help with navigation during long trips. Unfortunately, a few of the features do not work well with my device (iPhone 14). The charge capability is very iffy and during almost any on road travel, the phone will jostle creating a gap in the wireless charging. Some cases will not work with the restraint mechanism on this product. I did have to switch to a slimmer case for it to allow the ends of the mechanism to hold phone in place. Seems like the product was designed for use with a phone without the phone case. Overall, it does work, but not to a level that garners any practical use.

Secure wireless holder/charger
Using this with Galaxy S22 with a standard thin case. The holder attaches securely to the vent and hilds the phone in place. Easy to put the phone in & remove, adjustable angle. The wireless charging is pretty slow, though, can’t compare to wired, hence 4 stars. But overall a good product.

Does not last long
Device no longer connects to charge phone. Removed thin case, cleaned both surfaces, and tried alternate ports, but the connection does not work, even if both were lying flat. Return window closed yesterday, 1/31/2024, through Amazon, so I’m not sure what to do next. Device should have lasted longer than almost 3 months. Reached out to customer support, so we’ll see what’s next.

This charger was exactly what I needed! I didn’t want to place any magnets underneath my case, and I use a thicker case, so most magsafe chargers simply couldn’t be trusted to holder my phone up. I’ve been using a mechanical, gravity style phone holder for the last 2 years, and wanted something similar, but also charges my phone without plugging it in. This product is exactly what I needed.

So this fits onto my vent amd fits at am angle. It doesn’t sit straight up and down, but I don’t mind. I love I just set my phone down and the arms come up automatically to keep it in place. Removing it is as simple as pulling it free. I doordash and lose a lot of battery. This kept my galaxy s22 charged all night. It comes with a cord that plugs in to my adapter. It works great so far. Didn’t move on the bumpy ride over snow and speed bumps. The back extends to fit almost any vet that is horizontal.

Really wanted to like it BUT it will not charge my S22
I really like this cell phone / charger. BUT!!!!!! The vent mount it well made and the gravity holding system works quite well, but the charger will not consistently charge our S22’s. It seems to connect and begin to charge only seconds later loose the connection and stop charging, then seconds later start charging again so you constantly have the charging symbol appear and disappear in the middle of the phone’s display. I tried with and without a case and it made no difference. Sadly I will be returning this back to Amazon.

Practical but could be slightly better
I do really like this. I love the way it opens and how sturdy it is. My only con is that it doesn’t let you rotate your phone sideways, unless you loosen the bolt at the back and then retighten it. The one I had before this was tight and secure and let you rotate your phone. But if you don’t plan on waiting around in the car and watching videos or streaming sports whilst you do, then this won’t be an issue for you

Easily holds my iPhone 14 PM but doesn’t charge reliably.
On my 2019 Subaru Forester, the only good mounting spot was left of the steering wheel. The car 2.1a usb port only charged the phone at a very slow rate. Placement of the phone in the holder has to be precise for charging to occur. If it doesn’t start to charge, slightly lifting and placing the phone will usually restart the charge process. I am now using a 2nd port from my dash camera lighter adapter that has 2.4a out to boost the charge rate. iPhones don’t get a strong charge rate (per documentation) The only reason I am keeping the holder is because of the ease of inserting my phone in the holder. I can optionally plug my lightening cable in if I want to fast charge the phone.

This phone holder attaches to air vent on your car, and its design is very good, you place the phone in and the weight of the phone makes it grab the device. It charges quite fast, and because the phone is always positioned right it starts charging right away. And what is better is that it is as easy to put as to take out the phone. Excellent design

Love the ease of use but didn’t work with my MagSafe case on my iPhone 13 Pro. It would charge at first but then disconnect and blink a red light. Seemed to charge if carefully placed and not moved, any bump and it would disconnect. I removed the case and it worked perfectly every time. The way the dock grabs the phone is brilliant! I love it and it works flawlessly and holds tight. Nice simple design. Another problem that no one pointed out or discussed in the reviews is that you cannot turn the phone horizontally with this device. I primarily use my phone in the car turned on its side so between that and the case charging issue, I’m returning it. Nice priduct at a killer price otherwise!

It works and it’s secure.
I’ve tried the ones with the little motors that clamp automatically after sensing a load on the induction charging plate. They work for a few months, but they don’t like cold weather that much and eventually fail. The hook clip for the vent works well and the purely mechanical phone clamp shouldn’t fail. Read the fine print, if you have a thick otter box this may not work for you.

It is easy to assemble and use. Snall and doesn’t block air vent. My negative, is that it does not hold the phone in a vertical position, which I use when using GPS maps. I have to return it and purchase a different model. Still, I’d recommend it for anyone that doesn’t need to use sideviews.

Doesn’t work on vehicles with short vent grills
While the product does seem like it would be useful on vehicles with deeper vent grills, it does not tighten enough to hold on to the vents in my vehicle. It also is not made to fit an S22+ and I have to use two hands to get my phone set in it, one to hold the grip open and one to place the phone in.

Shallow vent clip
This charger is great however, the hook on it that goes on the vent is very shallow and doesn’t fit on my vent covers and isn’t adjustable. I had a different wireless charger that I was able to piece together with this one to get it to stay but otherwise I would have had to return it.

Working far better than expected.
After 1 month of use everything still works great. Fits every phone I throw at it. Fits Samsung Ultra, Note Ultra, iPhone pro Max with cases great! Got new phones for my parents also got them cases, their old car mount just couldn’t hold the new phones any more. So got them this too. Very easy to use just drop and go!

Mixed Results
I’ve been using a vent-mounted cell phone charger for several years, but it has a significant drawback: mounting it requires a lot of adjusting and torque to get it to stay in place. When I saw this model with a hook mount, I decided to give it a try. The hook works very well and that part of the charger is worth the reasonable cost I paid. Less impressive are the arms that swing up to hold the phone in place. They are mechanical and not electrically triggered, which is OK. However, my phone, a Galaxy S34 Ultra is slightly too wide to make the arms work without some wiggling and fiddling. Not a huge problem, but enough to be disappointing. I did discover that the hook mount works with my other cell phone holder, so I have created a hybrid with the Baseus hook mount and an electrically operated phone charger/holder. When all is said and done, the device charges my phone and the 15W capacity is a nice feature and if you have a slightly smaller phone you may not encounter the same issue I had.

Stopped working after one month of usage. Not suitable for if you need to take it out frequently as I travel and uses rental car I like to travel my own car holder to help me with navigation. Also, its not suitable or it wont fit in all the modern cars as new cars ac vent strips are very different than old cars which have regular straight strips.

Flimsy, noisy, and slow charging
It feels very delicate, bounces around a lot, and vibrates making a loud buzzing sound while driving without a phone in it. It’s like you have to have a phone in it if you don’t want it to buzz and make noise. The only reason I’m keeping it is because it’s one of the few wireless phone car chargers that actually fits my phone (Pixel 7A). Wish i could find something sturdier that isn’t outrageously priced and fits my phone

Doesn’t always charge
Updated: The seller refunded me because of my previous review. Their customer service is fast and efficient! Old: This wireless charger is actually pretty flimsy in structure. It does it’s job of holding the phone (I have an iPhone 12 mini) but it doesn’t always charge either. I have to make sure that it’s charging and if not, then I have to re-set it on the stand again which isn’t ideal. I wouldn’t get it again but I’m using it because the return date is over.
