Purchased this to replace a small scanner/code reader. Wanted something nicer with added features and provide coverage for my vehicles (08-F250, 17-F150, 15-Mini Countryman Base, 15-Mini Countryman S) First time use it would not connect/auto-find the vin. Figured it was me fat fingering something….finally got it to communicate and was able to scan the vehicle and fault codes. Tried to connect again a few days later (same vehicle..2015 mini)..would not read the auto vin again. Entered vin manually and received communication error messages. Powered down the unit, removed the blue-tooth VIC from the car and tried again…same thing… Did this twice more and at that point had enough…it’s going back. It’s unfortunate as it is a very nice looking unit…..GUI layout is user friendly and relatively simple to navigate. When it did work, it did so nicely. However for the cost of the unit, it needs to be 100% reliable. Not auto-finding the vin and then when entering the vin manually it errors out is unacceptable. My simple (cabled) hand held connects every time…reads the vin and scans the modules. I expected this 900bt to do the same..

Used on jeep, Subaru, and Nissan during first 48 hours of ownership. Nearly paid for itself already. Highly recommend.

I haven’t had a chance to use the tool that much yet. Just looking at temps, misfires and dtcs. Still learning its navigation. But as of rn it’s a cool gadget. But if all it says it can do, if all that works it’s a must have. I’m a small solo person that runs my own business. For family and friends, this so far has come in handy. Better than the regular obd reader. And goes in-depth with the online part. Looking up the fault. Tell exactly what it is. How it might be fixed and possible tests.

This init has failed to connect to several vehicles, mostly dodges and chevy products but have had lots of Bluetooth problems dongle just beeps but does not move data. Very slow read times. Pats functions not working on any of the fords I have tried. I have had to reset and redo firmware multiple times. Forscan does way better on ford’s than this does. Can’t recommend

I love the product it works just perfect but costumer service not that good. They didn’t help me with my issue.I did a mistake when I did activate the scanner when I put my email I put the last letter wrong instead to put .com I put .con until today they didn’t help me to correct that mistake. I think in the future I will have problem on that.

Best scanner ever. It is very quick auto vin reading with many functions. Highly recommended

With a little bit of mechanical understanding you can do it yourself. I couldn’t believe how accurate it was and how quick it diagnosed my F250 Diesel 6 0. It has already paid for itself in two diagnosis. I’m certainly glad I made this purchase

This scanner is definitely worth the price, Topdon easily competes with my other name brand scanners and has became my go to universal tool. You must have a internet connection to auto search Vin numbers but I have no clue if you need it when manually inputting and controlling. I also love the fact your obd2 plug stores inside the scanner itself, so much easier when your juggling a scanner and a handful of tools!
