Great combination of inflator and battery jumper.

I was so impressed with this that I immediately bought another unit for a family member. The tire inflator pump is loud, but that is to be expected, after all, it has to mechanically function somehow, right? Works as described, both as an emergency charger and an inflator. Holds charge over time without drop in power, in my experience, but the reserve capacity is not overly generous (but is adequate) and for piece of mind id used as an emergency tool, should be kept fully charged. Also, purchased it when it had a temporary price reduction, so got lucky. Good value. Certainly beats calling a tow truck or waiting for someone else to help you out of a spot.

    Great inflator/jumper combo

I’ve had other separate Astro AI inflators and chargers before and they always worked great so I thought I’d give this combo unit a try. I had to inflate a tire today (car tire had a screw in it, had to plug it). It took 10 minutes 41 seconds to inflate from 5psi to 33psi and it dropped the battery from 100% to 63%. It was approximately 20°F outside (South Central Ohio in February) and I did have to bring it inside to warm up before it would inflate. I keep it stored under the back seat of my truck. The “Low Battery Temperature” light came on so it wouldn’t operate. The owners manual does state that operating temperature is -4°F to 122°F so I was a little frustrated by that but it still worked well once I took it in the house for about 7-8 minutes. I don’t think that’s bad at all for a compact, light, portable, sub $50 (on sale!!!) inflator/jumper. Can’t give it a full 5 stars because of the temperature issue but I would still recommend it, just making sure that people fully know that it might need to be warmed up prior to use in very cold temperatures.

    100% worth the money

I purchased this portable battery charger Jan, 23, 2023, but today was the first time I had to use it. My sister’s car broke down up the street from my house. She had called AAA, and they told her it would be a three hour wait. I remembered I had this and walked to her car. I followed the directions,(super easy, with pictures)and the car immediately turned on, but went off after a couple of seconds. I repeated the process, and it started again, but it turned off a couple of seconds later. We’ll, I also had purchased a HALO which is supposed to do the same thing, nothing happened when I used it. My sister comes out of the car and tells me, “Well, it did start it, give it more juice. I said, it starts it, but the car goes off after a couple of seconds.” She says,’ No, I turned it off both times.” OK! Yeah, don’t do that. Anyway, long story short, I jumped her again, and it worked. I had my reservation about this, but I promise you, if you are looking to purchase this, please do so. I was not paid to promote this item. I paid full price, and my review is an honest one.

    Jump starter, device charger, inflator

I’ve had it for nearly a couple of years (I like to get to know a product before I review it), and it does all those things very well. I had a very nearly dead battery (no lights) and it started immediately. The only deficit I’ve seen is that the display is somewhat hard to see in bright light. But the good qualities far outweigh that.

    Versatile, and reliable!

I’ve been using this jump starter with an air compressor for a while now, and it has been fantastic. I’ve used it three times to jumpstart two vehicles, and it works like a charm every time. It also does a great job inflating tires, and I’ve used it several times for that. One thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to charge it after each use—I’ve noticed it drops about 15-20% of its battery after use. To be safe, I always make sure it has at least 75% battery life before attempting to jumpstart a vehicle. Overall, it’s an excellent tool to have on hand for emergencies, and I highly recommend it!

Didnt work on a cold battery

I have a 3/7L V6 and the key got left on over night, the jump starter had 99% battery power when I turned it on and it couldn’t start the truck engine. The battery on the truck wasnt comptely dead either, it had enough power to luminate all the lights and could start turning the cold engine over.

    A must have!

I haven’t used the jump starter on this yet BUT this thing is a tank. It is a decent weight but it’s built strong. Got it and charged it and then pumped up tires for 3 cars and didn’t break a sweat. It seems pretty accurate when I compared it with my other tire gauge. Instructions are straight forward and the storage is cool on this machine. Easy to use and you should get one!

Also I have used my portable battery pack when I need to charge my electronics. Haven’t had the chance to use the air compressor yet. But so far very good.

    battery will not charge

I loved this unit for about a year. the compressor was rather worthless, slow. I jump portion was very nice and started everything that I needed it for. The problem: if you leave the jumper section connected, it will kill the internal battery. the unit does NOT shut off automatically. I accidently did this twice. After the 1st time it would not initially take a charge. After much off and on unplugging and replugging the adapter, it took a charge. The second time. No such luck. I now have a brick!!!! I purchased this because of an internet personality, never again.

    Just Okay

So I have this device for about 2 months now and used it for the first time today. I only used the air pump (have not tested the jump capabilities yet) but I charged the device up to 100% and it has sat in my trunk for the past 2 months. I incurred a flat via pothole, and decided to use the device; short story, inflating one tire took up almost 60% of the battery. It did it’s job but be advised that the charge on the device does not either hold very long OR using the air pump significantly drains the device.

It no longer includes the charging block or printed instructions inside the case as noted in the video. The first time I bought this it was included but the ones being sent out now do not. The original does work well for jump starting and tire inflation, however, which is why I bought it again for a second car. I’m hoping that they have not cheaped out on anything else with it.

I work on cars and trucks for a living. This jump pack brings the heat. Is always starts a dead car or truck and will pump up a completely flat tire and still have plenty of juice left for a jump or 2. Also, they have great customer service. I have bought several of these as gifts. One of them came with a broken display. They immediately sent out a replacement and told me to discard the old unit.

Will NOT start a completely dead battery

I’ve owned this jump starter for 9 months. Unfortunately for me, I’ve had the need to use it to jump start cars 4 times and inflate 3 tires. I also carry a compact digital multimeter (small clamshell-type). The AstroAI Jump Starter has been working fine, until a week ago. I tried to come to my friend’s aid, jumping a small 1.3L Honda Fit engine. The engine takes a small, low-profile type 12v car battery. My friend had left the lights on overnight and when she tried to start the car, zero response. I applied the AstroAI Jump Starter with 89% charge, but due to zero voltage, the light on the clamp device would not even illuminate. Plugged in and attempted to start with no response at all. Multimeter read 3.2v, which is about as dead as can be. I had to drive to the auto parts store and buy some traditional jumper cables, upon which a jump was successful. In case the AstroAI device was dead, I tested against several car batteries in my Ford Taurus (3.5L EcoBoost V6), between 2v (cracked plate), 4v, and about 10v. It looks like the threshold voltage to have the device activate is a battery voltage somewhere between 4v (jump unsuccessful) and 10v (solid light, jump successful). I did not consider it practical to wind down car batteries to try to identify this voltage, but the device definitely requires some life in the battery to “trip” and work. I also tried testing against my 7 year old 700A starter. To be fair, they both failed the 4v battery and both passed the 10v battery. I’m just disappointed, as the product description of the AstroAI states the ability to jump a completely dead battery. It’s also supposed to provide 1750A of cranking, but cranked similarly to my legacy 700A starter. I will continue to use the jump starter and am satisfied with the device, but do take into account that it will not start a dead battery. I just wanted to share the results of my testing to provide additional information.

    Run, bad quality

I got one 6 or 7 months ago. Filled the tires on my RG successfully.. 3 weeks later it was dead. Recharged it and the following month without any use it was dead again… Plus the illuminated numbers grew so dim you had to be in a dark garage with a fully charged battery pack to even barely see the numbers. Then it was dead again…. IMHO… it is a very bad purchase and of course warranty is expired……

    Powerful little thing.

I ordered this to replace a jump starter tire pump that wouldn’t charge after 3 uses. I’ve blown up Halloween decorations and my tires already. This little pump works great. The only downside is the screen is hard to see in the sun but nothing a little hand shade does not help. The case that it comes with is very well made and could probably take a beating. I would definitely buy this again over any of the others that are out there

    Useless unless it’s dark out

I purchased this an about 3 months ago. Upon initial inspection everything appeared as advertised. I fully charged the unit and put it away until needed. Since it’s becoming chilly overnight I decided to top up my tire pressure in case any were beginning to get low. When I powered the device the internal battery was indicating 85% charge. Not bad and certainly should be enough if needed. I went out to my car and attempted to power the unit on again. At first I thought I did something wrong since nothing was visible in the display. I tried again with the same result. I went into my house and there was the display just as it should be when powered on. I kept the unit powered on and as soon as I stepped outside the display once again became invisible. This thing is useless outside, even in shade! Stay away unless you live in a cave. I’d like to contact the seller, however, there’s nothing to indicate that you can. This was a very sad waste of my money.

    Junk

This items functionality is garbage. The lighting grew very dim about the 3rd use. Then the psi readability spazed out. As a result I was not able to correctly inflate my car tire to 35 psi because the box was telling me it was already at max psi of 48psi…( WHICH IT WAS NOT) it wasn’t) This item also does not hold a charge very well. I was only able to use the jump box feature twice before I noticed the psi problem however the video states it will hold a charge way longer than it really does . Anyway I’m now out on time window to return so my advice is spend the extra couple bucks and get a NAME BRAND LIKE A STANLEY OR DEWALT
