What’s Good, Bad, and Ugly About the ? An In-Depth Review
The product in question, a pure sine wave power inverter, seems to have garnered a positive response overall from users. One of the standout features of this inverter is its ability to drive single-phase AC motors without the buzzing noise commonly associated with Modified Sine Wave (MSW) inverters. As one user, BatteryKing, mentions, the inverter “works fine with this inverter, no buzzing” and is capable of handling the initial starting load of the motors and the subsequent electrical noise without shedding the load, which is a significant advantage. Additionally, the inverter is well-suited for powering electronics, with Eric noting its compatibility with solar panels and sensitive equipment such as computers and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
The build quality of the inverter has also been praised, with several users, including Amazon Customer, commenting on the durability of the metal casing and the effectiveness of the built-in cooling fan that only starts running at higher temperatures, thus conserving battery power. The ease of installation is another pro, as pointed out by Robert M., who found the included remote control to be a handy feature for overnight off-grid camping.
Furthermore, the inverter has been recognized for its versatile power output options. SolMan636 appreciated the inclusion of a remote for operational flexibility, while Rich was satisfied with the customer service that promptly resolved an issue with a faulty remote. Moreover, the low idle current draw, highlighted by P. Meyer, is especially beneficial for off-grid applications, ensuring that the inverter doesn’t significantly drain the battery when not in use. The product also boasts advanced safety features, as XennialLife confirmed, such as short circuit and over-temperature protection, enhancing its reliability.
Despite the positive aspects, there have been some reported drawbacks. One user, Rockinggrammy, found the inverter underpowered for their needs, stating that it “would not run an 800w coffee maker,” leading to their return of the product. This points to potential issues with the inverter’s capability to handle certain appliances. Additionally, ProAudio expressed disappointment after the inverter failed during a camping trip, which not only ruined their experience but also brought to light concerns about the product’s reliability over time and under continuous use.
Another point of contention is the split-phase configuration, which may cause some confusion regarding the neutral to ground bonding. As BatteryKing explains, the inverter reads at 60V on neutral and hot leg, leading some equipment to indicate an “open ground” issue. Although this is typical for the inverter’s operation and not necessarily a defect, it could be misleading for users who are not familiar with electrical systems.
In conclusion, while the inverter has demonstrated strong performance and a high degree of user satisfaction, especially in terms of its ability to run motors quietly and power sensitive electronics, there are some isolated instances of underperformance and reliability concerns. Prospective buyers should consider their specific needs and the potential for variability in performance when deciding on this inverter.

Review of Voltworks 2000W 12Vdc Inverter VS-2000PCR. Out of the box the inverter seemed to work well although I was limited to 100A out of the battery and therefore never reached the 2000W limit, nor was I able to test it on a large inductive load for the same reason. When I connected the remote panel to the inverter I found the remote panel to be highly intermittent but the inverter continued to run just fine. I could not tell if the problem was the cable or the remote causing the issue. I contacted the Voltworks support email address and described the problem. Voltworks promptly responded within a few hours and within a couple days they had sent me a new remote and cable. The new remote worked fine and by switching things around I was able to determine that it was the original cable that was causing the problem. Voltworks was very responsive to my emails and I couldn’t be happier with their customer service. I hope to have a second LiFePo4 battery one of these days in order to do a “proper” load test on the inverter.

Not that efficient
Quiet operation but the unit generates too much heat. My solar batteries and inverter are located on the inside of my travel trailer. Excess heat is not an issue now, Winter, but I am sure this unit will need to be located from the interior of trailer to an exterior storage compartment for Summer to cut down on the heat it generates to lower overall cooling load.

Works perfect so far
Very very nice
Pneumatic Panic –
Not properly grounded or bonded
This is not properly grounded or bonded and does not pass simple circuit testing. Why they included fuses idk because there’s no where to install them and for a wire gauge this big you would use a breaker or different type of fuse anyway. Unfortunately it sat a while before I had an opportunity to test this inverter–otherwise I’d just return it. Poor quality and design.
Steven Sloan –
Work as said.
Should replace the cables with pure copper if using at full capacity. Cables get hot

Missing Parts and Untaped Box
This product has good reviews and looked good out of the box. It appeared to be well made and had some weight to it – usually a good thing for power inverters. I wanted to keep it, but the advertised remote meter/switch and cables were missing from the box that was not sealed. I called the vendor telephone number printed on the box, it just went to voice mail and no one called me back. So I started the free return process to Amazon. I sent it back on Jan 8th. It’s now the 15th and Amazon still shows it being “in-transit” on the return status page, with Jan 24th as the predicted refund date. That’s a long time to wait for a credit to my Amazon account. This might be a good product. But I needed the items that were advertised but not present when received.

Worked perfectly
So far so good, it does it job as intended. Can’t say about the long-term reliability, but for now it’s perfect for my need.
Roy D. Cierras –
Solid Inverter but…
So I had this Inverter since June of 2023. It worked perfectly before. I only use this mainly for our overland truck and not using it heavily but just this month it stopped working. When I turn it on it just giving me continuous beeps. Thought it was over voltage from the battery but not. I tried draining my battery but still giving me continuous beeps. So I contacted Voltworks to see if my unit is under warranty and they said it already passed it but they’re kind enough to send me a replacement. Huge thanks to Alice for an awesome customer service. Thank you so very much Alice!

Excellent inverter
I use at my off-grid trailer, was using a modified inverter which worked fairly well, however, my fans would run at lower speeds than they were supposed to, my amplifier would hum and the carbon monoxide detector would be red hot in no time. I hooked this new on in and had it working the first night at -8c°, no problem. So far it has been flawless and a big improvement over the modified inverter I was using.
Mark Glastetter –
Simple and easy to use.
I’ve used this a few months or so now. No complaints.
Nelson Blackburn –
So far, so good
I’ve been using this inverter, but only wish it had an on board display instead of remote.
DiSt –
Se siente de buena calidad
El producto se siente de buena calidad, aún por probar si es onda senoidal pura, pero mantiene voltaje constante a la salida a pesar de que el voltaje en la batería sea menos de 12V.
J. Krutsch –
So Far So Good
I installed this in my RV to power the whole trailer. Installed late in the year so have only used it a handful of times, but it seems solid. I love that it has a soft start feature. Not sure if the Microwave would start up without this, but it does, so I am happy.
DonSchap –
A ground-connection that works.
Happily, this Inverter makes a thru-connection between the grounding-lug and the actual plug-ground. It just costs a little more to get this wiring improvement.

Seemed to be well build and High rating but…
I was happy with the construction and, the remote control was simple but effective. I went to test when I had solar active. I had tv going about 50 watts with no issues. i added enough items to be close to 1000 watts usage. I wanted to drain battery to see if my solar controller would pick up. The inverter went in to fault and reset. i tried the tv and 4 cell phones about 150 watts, worked like a charm. Tried 1000 watts again and it went into fault and reset. I will be returning as I most likely will not really get much over 1000 watts offend but i did want to run my coffee pot off grid.
Jonathan Delanoy –
No/non-functional safety features, shoddy construction, incredibly predatory warranty.
Dear fellow review junkie, please listen to my tale of woe and learn from my mistakes: Don’t cheap out on your inverter, get one from a -real- brand. I got the 3000 watt version. If you don’t want to read this entire review, just know that I took this apart after it broke, and looked at the components inside. If you actually did try to run this at 3000 watts you will probably melt and/or vaporize something, and I’d be amazed if you didn’t burn your house/shed/RV down. I practically never write reviews, but this company has, bar none, the most predatory “warranty return” policy I have ever seen, and that is what made me indignant enough to write out this novel. Steer very, very clear of anything this company makes unless you like living dangerously with no recourse in exchange for saving a couple hundred bucks. I got this inverter for my equipment shed, along with panels, a controller, and battery (fortunately not from this brand). The most I ever had running at one time was around 1000 watts, and mostly it was maybe 80 to run some lights. A lot of the time I just had the system shut off completely. Everything seemed fine for about 4 months, then last weekend I was working at the shed, only running the lights, and the inverter suddenly started sparking and smoking. I have no idea what specifically broke, but when I opened the case to see what I could see, the internal components are way, way too small for its claimed rating. 3000 watts at 12 volts is 250 amps. I don’t know what gauge the wires are inside, but they absolutely are not even close to 4/0 AWG. I’d be surprised if they were even 8 gauge. I’m really happy I was there when it broke because even though it was visibly arcing and smoking, the unit apparently does not have any sort of monitoring since it did not shut itself off, and I had to turn it off myself. Several times previously I had left it on overnight to run a trickle charger – I can only imagine what would have happened if it had broken then. Voltworks’ return policy is the most atrociously predatory thing I have ever seen, and I’ve bought a lot of stuff from a lot of dodgy resellers like this one. If you try to do a warranty return, and they “determine” that the problem was not their fault, not only will you have to eat the cost of shipping it back to them, they will also attempt to ship the broken unit back to you and charge you to do it! So you’d be out 50 bucks (per FedEx’s calculator) to ship it to them, and then they’d try to fleece you for another 50 bucks when they inevitably decide that their inadequate construction was your fault. I know it’s cliché to say this, but I’d rate this zero stars if I could. I think it’s justified given that it did its level best to burn down my shed and the expensive equipment inside (and I know this is partially on me for not appreciating the potential consequences – lesson definitely learned there). Blatantly false advertising on its capacity, shoddy construction, no safety features whatsoever on a high-power electrical component, and a stupidly predatory return policy. It’s hard to overstate just how unbelievably bad this is. If you’re going to try and cheap out on your solar power setup, you really, really don’t want to do it with the inverter. I got a new one delivered just today from a REAL brand, and even though it’s only rated for 2000 watts, it weighs noticeably more than Voltworks’ “3000 watt” one. That’s all you need to know.

Works as Advertised
I am not maxing this thing out and I don’t plan to. I bought it to run a chest freezer in our basement and maybe a few lights in case of extended power outages. I probably could have gotten by with a 1000 watt unit but I wasn’t sure how many watts the freezer used during startup. My 500 watt inverter wasn’t up to the task. I would rather have a bigger unit working at a lighter load than the other way around. The power cables seem ok but I may upgrade to 1/0 pure copper cables in the future. They work ok for now but the inverter gives off a low voltage chirp when the freezer kicks on but it doesn’t shut off. I am using an older AGM battery so I don’t know if it’s the battery that can’t handle the momentary load or the cables. I’ll get an LiFePo battery in the future. It would be nice to have a display on the unit showing all of the normal parameters but I guess simpler is better. The remote switch that comes with the unit works fine. I can’t comment on longevity and my unit will probably be used only a few times per year.

Great for the RV
Installed this unit in our 5th wheel back in the April. It’s now the end of Oct. It’s been on constantly since that point and hasn’t skipped a beat. We use it to run a full size residential Refrigerator, TVs and other electronics. Never overheated or stopped working. Installed near the batteries and the only time i can hear the fan is when I open that door. Great unit.

Good value
The reviews looked good so I ordered this to provide a DC operating mode for an incorrectly ordered motor vessel freezer unit. Added an interlocking relay that allowed the inverter to take over when generator or Shore power was not available. Worked flawlessly.
